Chapter 20: The Trial I

Skylar’s POV

The arena is packed with people. Their shouts echoing through the air. I really wish I could hide but there is nowhere I can go. Why am I even here? Only cases with enough evidence are set for trial.

“You can always go to Ethan’s pack, when you escape. He is your mate after all.” Freya says.

“Alright, we will focus on getting through this, then we can plot out our escape and go to him for help. If he can’t help us, we will have to find Scarlet on our own. I really hope she’s okay.” I told her.

Stefan and Dave are standing behind me. We are under the stage and when I am called up,we will climb the stairs leading to the stage for my trial.

My name is finally called, that is our cue to go up to the stage. Immediately we get there the crowd starts jeering at me and throwing things like food. Stefan moves to block me from the things thrown at me, he walks faster to the box where I am supposed to stand for the trial.

    Ethan’s POVI’m an Alpha, I should not be excited like a kid but this is something I can not get over. Everybody can see I am in a good mood and I don’t care.
