MINERVA'S TRANSFORMATION

last update Fecha de publicación: 2026-09-08 13:32:36

In the middle of the bustling packhouse hall, Killian stood alone, sipping his champagne. His gaze was empty, lost in thought as he waited for the annual ceremony to begin—an event he had never actually wanted.

Kayller, his twin brother, approached with a drink in his hand. "Why are you daydreaming?" Kayller chided.

"No. I was just thinking about Minerva. She seems different today."

"What about her again? And since when do you think about her? Don't tell me you're starting to fall in love with her?" he teased.

"Ridiculous! As if I could ever fall in love with her!" Killian retorted. "I just felt she looked strange today. Do you know, she actually dared to snap at me earlier?!" Killian said seriously.

Kayller chuckled dismissively, taking his brother's words as a joke. "No way? A submissive woman like her would never have the guts to raise her voice at us. She's never dared to do that to us, Killian."

"I'm serious, Kayller. Her gaze and her attitude earlier were completely cold. She's already started to snap at me!"

Kayller patted his twin's shoulder, brushing off the concern. "Maybe it's just your imagination. Enough, forget about that fat bitch. Let's enjoy tonight and have some fun."

As the event began, Kayller and Killian were chatting with Lydia and Aleesha—who were none other than Minerva's own best friend and younger sister. They appeared to be having a warm conversation, punctuated by familiar laughter. The twin Alphas didn't hesitate to shower sweet compliments on Lydia and Aleesha's captivating appearances that night.

"Killian, the important guests have arrived. Why hasn't Minerva come down yet?" Kayller asked, glancing at his gold pocket watch with an annoyed expression.

"Maybe Minerva is having trouble finding clothes that fit her," Aleesha chimed in with a disgusted tone, showing no respect for her own older sister, as their relationship had never been close.

Killian scoffed cynically. "There really isn't a single outfit that suits her huge body size. Even her fashion sense is utterly boring! If it weren't for mere formality, I wouldn't even want this trashy party to be held!"

"Your Majesty, please don't speak so harshly about Minerva. After all, she is your fated mate," Lydia interjected in a soft, feigned voice. Pretending to defend her, she knew perfectly well that her words would only provoke Killian and Kayller to hurl even more insults at Minerva.

Behind her mask of concern, Lydia smirked in satisfaction. She couldn't wait to see her friend arrive wearing her usual boring, loose, outdated gown, once again becoming the laughingstock of the entire pack.

Killian, already irritated, was about to respond, but his voice caught in his throat when his attention—along with hundreds of other pairs of eyes in the castle hall—was instantly drawn to the top of the main staircase.

There, Minerva was descending the stairs. The woman who usually drowned herself in outdated, old-fashioned medieval gowns, tonight appeared so boldly in a modern dress that accentuated her curvy figure. Her long hair, usually tied up neatly, was now left flowing beautifully over her shoulders. What stunned everyone the most was the makeup on her face. Minerva had never once touched makeup before. But tonight, she wore makeup that revealed her beauty.

Every eye in the hall was captivated in disbelief. Kayller and Killian were no exception. The two twin Alphas, who had always been so dominant, stood frozen, as if rendered speechless, staring at their fated mate's new appearance—so different from her usual self.

In another corner, the satisfaction on Lydia's face vanished instantly, replaced by irritation. Her eyes stared sharply at Minerva with suspicion, astonished to see how beautiful her friend looked—far from what she had expected.

With her chin raised and graceful steps, Minerva descended the remaining stairs. She walked past the crowd of guests whispering among themselves about her transformed appearance, then strode straight toward Kayller and Killian, who were still rooted to the spot. She flashed a faint smile—a smile that no longer conveyed obedience, but rather a challenge.

"Why did it take you so long?!" Killian exclaimed.

"I needed to prepare myself to impress my guests," Minerva said loudly. She glanced toward Lydia and Aleesha, who immediately smiled at her.

"You look very beautiful tonight, Minerva," Lydia praised, merely making small talk to ease the atmosphere.

"Thank you, Lydia." Minerva smiled faintly.

With a subtly hidden cynical gaze, Minerva observed her friend's outfit. She just realized that the color of Lydia's gown perfectly matched Killian's inner shirt. In the past, she had been so foolish and blinded by love that she never noticed such small details of betrayal.

"Your gown and Killian's outfit look well-coordinated. You two look so compatible together," she complimented with a smile. Then, she walked ahead to greet the guests and welcome everyone who had arrived.

Killian, confused by Minerva's attitude, now stood frozen in place. His gaze locked onto Minerva's broad back as she moved further away, parting the crowd of guests with undeniable elegance. That remark was spoken without a trace of jealousy. Instead, she smiled with mockery, making Killian feel exposed. It was as if that wasn't Minerva at all—because he knew how much Minerva had loved him.

Killian walked toward Minerva's pavilion. However, something felt strange. Along the corridor, guards stood in neat rows—more than usual, and all stood rigidly with wary looks. This was unusual. Killian furrowed his brow, but continued walking. As he approached the entrance, two guards blocked his way with their bodies stretched out."How dare you block my path?!" Killian growled, his eyes narrowing."Forgive me, Your Majesty," said one of the guards, his voice trembling but trying to remain firm. "Luna Minerva cannot be seen. The Luna does not wish to be disturbed by anyone.""I don't care! Get out of my way!" he ordered coldly, without negotiation."Forgive me, Your Majesty, but we have direct orders from—"Killian didn't give him a chance to finish his sentence. With one wave of invisible force, the guard's body was sent flying to the side, crashing against the wall before falling to the ground. The other guard stepped back in fear, but Killian had already walked past them, his clo

0Like it or not, Kayller and Killian still finished the last of the meat on their plates—even though every bite felt like chewing stale rubber. The servant had left, but the strange taste still clung to their tongues.Kayller set his fork down a little harder than necessary. "Killian, do you think what that servant said makes any sense?" He leaned back in his chair, his brow furrowed sharply. "Just because of that bitch's touch, the meat's flavor could change so drastically?"Killian shrugged lightly. "It's possible." His answer was short, flat. His eyes stared blankly at some empty point ahead."I still don't believe it!" Kayller slammed his palm on the table, making the empty plates rattle. "I think it's completely absurd. This must just be a coincidence!"Killian didn't respond. His silence was louder than a thousand words. His gaze remained straight ahead, but there was something behind his eyes—like a tangled thread being slowly unraveled."Killian, are you listening to me?!" Ka

Minerva tried to steady her ragged breathing. Cold sweat flooded her face and neck. Tears now welled in her eyes after witnessing that horrifying vision of the past—how her twin mates, her best friend, and her own sister had rejoiced in celebrating her death. And she had just learned that Kayller's death had been nothing but a charade, planned by all of them. Kayller had never died!Tears immediately streamed down her cheeks like rivers."Why... why did they do this to me? Why did Kayller pretend to die just to frame me?! Why are they all so cruel to me?!" she screamed hysterically, before her sobs finally broke out, filling the room. Her heart shattered into pieces. Remembering how she had always sincerely loved Lydia, and how she had raised Aleesha with such affection since their parents died... was this the reward she deserved for all her kindness? In truth, Minerva had loved Aleesha dearly—more than anything. "Why did you slap me, Your Majesty?!" Lydia protested, unwilling to accept it, after Killian dragged her out of Minerva's pavilion."Because you almost ruined all our plans!" Killian snapped in frustration. "Kayller and I are trying hard to turn things around, but you easily said things that could put this pack at risk!""I just wanted to put Minerva in her place so she'd realize she's nothing more than trash! She's the one who stole you from me, Your Majesty! Yet she acts as if I'm the one who betrayed her!""I said shut up and stop talking, Lydia!" Killian said sharply. "I don't want to hear another word from you. Better leave now. I've already prepared a place for you and Aleesha.""Are you really going to obey that damned fat bitch and kick us out of here?" Lydia asked with a look of disbelief."There's no other choice! Right now, the pack's safety is far more important than anything, Lydia!" Killian interjected."So you're saying I'm not important to you?!" Lydia wailed, unwillin

The next morning, Minerva woke up with every joint in her body aching and feeling crushed. Her entire body felt as if it had been hit by a heavy weight—the aftermath of channeling her pure-blood energy the night before. If she hadn't drawn energy from Killian and Kayller, she might not have woken up this morning. Because in the past, she had needed days to regain consciousness after restoring her supernatural energy. But now, she was no longer as foolish as before. If in the past she always bore every problem in this pack alone, from now on she would always involve both of her fated mates in everything.Minerva blinked slowly, clearing her blurry vision. However, shock seized her when she found Lydia's figure inside her room. She squinted several times, hoping it was just an illusion. But the figure remained standing upright—it was truly Lydia."You're awake?" Lydia asked coldly. The woman stood with her arms crossed at the foot of the bed, staring at Minerva with a gaze full of hatre

Killian summoned the warriors to drag Lydia and Aleesha out of Minerva's pavilion, ordering them to pack their belongings. The two women's struggles and pleas echoed through the corridor, but Minerva did not budge an inch."Minerva, I'm your best friend. I beg you, don't do this. You know I have nowhere else to go.""Minerva, we don't have parents anymore. Who am I supposed to live with out there?" Aleesha asked. However, Minerva remained unmoved and ignored both her best friend's and her sister's pleas.A cynical smile curled on Minerva's lips. She felt satisfied that she could now turn the tables. Now, the twin Alphas were kneeling helplessly before her and willing to follow her orders."Are you satisfied now?!" Killian growled, clenching his fists to contain his anger. "Now keep your promise! Stop stalling!""I can't handle it alone? I need your help!" Minerva replied flatly. In the past, she might have single-handedly poured all her supernatural strength into protecting this pack,
