She ate lunch in the cafeteria on the 11th floor because she also wanted to see the other employees at the company.

Due to the size of the business, each floor has its own cafeteria. The 10th level is the only one without a cafeteria because there aren't many employees there since it's just used for Sean and Mr. Rado's offices.

Sean's company employs a large number of people. Since she didn't really know anyone there yet, she sat at an empty table. Lany is eating outside.

When someone spoke, she had just begun to eat. She raised her head and noticed Jacob's cheery face.
