I wanted to say something to Dane as I watched Ericka wince in pain but that was when I remembered that the dumbass never followed me here.

Why didn't he just have a little bit of patience and give me time to explain? This is what happens when you have a stubborn alpha that keeps on doing things without even asking about the opinion of his beta at all.

I almost winced when I saw the way Ericka was trembling, her eyebrows knitted in pain. She is really innocent. She doesn't deserve this. I don't know what to even say. I know how much Dane's been waiting for a mate and I didn't really think he'd have a prejudice against the type of mate he wants.
