It was already 7 pm and Kanyon was exhausted. After receiving pain medication from the doctor, Anna finally drifted off to sleep. Dr. Clarke informed the king that Anna might deliver as soon as 8 am the following morning.

Kanyon sensed something strange, almost like Jessica was out of reach. So he tried to reach out to her via mindlink, but the connection was blank.

'That's strange,' Sinbad stated.

'No. It's not strange if she is too far away to connect to our link.'

Kanyon bumped into Cameron on his way back to his room.

"Hey man. Has she had the baby yet?" Cam asked.

"No. Maybe early tomorrow morning or late tomorrow evening. Have you seen Jessica?" Kanyon asked.

"No. Not since she got back from the market this morning," he answered. "Why?"

"She's not responding to my mindlink."

"Damn!" Cam muttered. Both men quickly made their way to the king's quarters.

"Jessica?" Kanyon called out as he checked the bedroom and master bathroom.

"Twinkle? Are you in here, girl?" Cam check
