20. MADAM JEAN

That night, Helena woke up as planned and tapped Secretary Han, who was fast asleep gently.

With a whisper, she notified her “It’s time” and Secretary Han dropped off the bed without hesitation.

They tiptoed down the hallway to the extreme end of the second block where the library was situated. Streams of guards were there waiting at their positions without moving, their weapons in their hands, as if they were ready to devour anyone who trespasses.

“Why are they guarding the library heavily? Is there something we shouldn’t see in there?” Helena muttered in disappointment.

“What are you here for though? You can just get a pass if you want to check anything in the library” Secretary Han remarked from behind, rubbing the sleep off her droopy eyes before trying to move forward, but she only kicked a trash can lying by the side, sending it flying with a crashing sound afterwards.

Immediately, a bright light flashed towards them. One of the guards there had pointed a bright torch light
