CHAPTER 16: CONFIDING IN A FRIEND
CARA’S P.O.V
I feel bad about arguing with Xander yesterday regarding our wedding venue and I could tell by the look on his face that he was hurt inside after all of the nasty words that I threw at him. I love him so much, but I couldn’t help but feel upset knowing that another one of my dreams will settle in the dream graveyard. However, now that I think about it again…I don’t think that the money that I have saved up is enough for the wedding that I want. I want a grand wedding, but that is my dream and not Xander’s, I cannot expect him to pay for it. I know that he has spent a lot of money on his other wedding, but that he did by choice and I would rather not get married than force him to spend money on this wedding as well. I am not after his money but if I continue to irritate him about the big, grand wedding that I want he might assume that I am after his money and I won’t even blame him because that’s the way it would seem. I have to finance my dream wedding on my own

CARA’ P.O.V Admiring the formal outfits that I bought…well Xander bought…over the weekend, I chose a grey and black check dress to wear on my first day of work. It stopped perfectly above my knees and the black belt which came with it, made the dress fit me perfectly. Loosening my curls, I applied light make-up and nude lipstick, gave myself one more look of admiration in the mirror before leaving the room. In the mirror, I saw a proud woman, even though I would be working for my future husband the fact remains that I would be earning my own money and not just living off his. I made my way down to the first floor in my small inch heels. “Good morning sweetheart,” Xander said, his back turned towards me but I still found him attractive. CARA’S P.O.V Today was a bit calmer and quieter in the office compared to all the drama and noisy shouting that took place yesterday.
