IRIS.

I couldn’t help my face from heating up from all the stares we were getting. No one said anything, but I was sure they would talk once we were gone from here.

I felt the Alpha’s hand on my back as he steered me toward the cashier. He placed everything he was holding on the counter and pulled out his wallet. I would have volunteered to pay for this with the money he gave me, but I wasn’t sure if it was enough for all these garments he chose.

Also, my pants, where the money was, were inside the paper bag, and if I pulled them out, my soiled shirt might fall, as they were wrapped around together.

So I remained quiet and let him pay.

“It’s in the house, Alpha,” Tricia said as she stood at the other side of the Alpha, anchoring her arms on the counter. Their arms brushed against each other.

“No. I’ll pay for it.” He said as he instructed the female who was attending the cash register to let him pay the total.

“It’s a gift from the shop, Alpha. We’ve been hitting way above the tar

IRIS. I smiled at him and was about to ask him if he was still dating Tricia, but his phone rang. He spoke with whoever was on the phone in a language I was not familiar with. I was guessing it was in Italian, and I was left in awe of how beautifully he carried the accent, even if I couldn’t understand a thing. They spoke for a long time, and by the time they finished talking, we had arrived in what looked like a resort with a hotel at the front. I saw the blue water along the highway, thinking we were just passing, but I didn’t expect that this was where the actual venue was. It excited me. I couldn’t remember the last time I was at a beach or near any water except for small rivers and streams within the forest. Alpha Draco might have seen my face because he asked me as he turned off the engine. “Do you like the place?”I couldn’t help grinning as I nodded. “I saw there’s water behind the hotel…”“This hotel has access to the beach for its guests.”“Wow.”“But we’re only staying

IRIS. “Alpha, your breakfast is ready. Your car and the car that will come with us are already waiting outside.” Roman said as they walked side by side, while I walked ahead of them, making my way to the dining room. “You’re staying home. I’ll take Liam instead.” I heard Alpha Draco told him. “But I’m the one who goes with you whenever you attend the summit.”I didn’t hear the rest of their conversation because I had already entered the dining room and gone directly to where Mirelle was. I knew the Alpha wanted his coffee only to be prepared once he was already seated, so I told her I would be the one doing it for him this morning. She smiled widely at me before handing me his empty cup, and I proceeded to make his coffee just the way he wanted it.He and Beta Roman were still discussing when I gave him his coffee and proceeded to my spot at the other end of the table. But before I could sit, the Alpha called me.“Iris…” He said as he tapped the space on the table to his right. “F

  • THE SUBSTITUTE LUNA   Chapter 37

IRIS.I had no idea how long I was in the Alpha’s arms, just clinging to him and enjoying that he was holding me close, until I remembered we needed to be somewhere. We had to move, or else we might have had to skip breakfast. I told him I needed to go back to my room to change my underwear so we could start our day. He helped me to my feet, and I rushed out of his room without waiting for him to say anything. I felt embarrassed and exhilarated at the same time. Embarrassed because I was the one who initiated the act, and exhilarated because the Alpha didn’t turn me down. The fact that he held me in his arms after we both had our release spoke volumes about how he could be really gentle if he wanted to. Also, while I was giving him a blow job, I intentionally stopped midway. For some reason, I wanted to know if his kindness towards me was just an act. Constantine had told me I gave him the best blow job he ever had. I suppose that when someone is trapped in a marriage where they

DRACO.I woke up earlier than usual because, despite not having any sleep at all, I couldn’t sleep last night. I kept thinking about the woman I took home. I couldn’t deny the attraction, but I knew better than to let myself get lost in that feeling. I can not allow her to get too close. But when she showed up this morning outside my door, looking innocent in that summer dress that perfectly hugged her petite frame, I forgot again that I should be the one taking control. “Damn it, Iris. If you’re just going to stare at it, then let’s fucking forget this.” My voice came out throaty. She grabbed my erection and squeezed it hard. The right thing to do was to yank her up from kneeling and throw her out of my room so she would learn her lesson not to be this aggressive, but I didn’t. Because I liked the way my cock surrendered against her touch. I was so fucking hard. She had sucked me on our first night together, and it was fucking good. And the thought alone that I would get another m

  • THE SUBSTITUTE LUNA   Chapter 35

IRIS.Sleep didn’t come easily. I kept thinking about Alpha Draco the whole night. He was hot one minute and cold the next. But even when he seemed upset or frustrated with me, I didn’t feel the fear that I used to feel around Constantine. He would make me feel nervous, but at the same time, I felt comfortable that no matter how upset he was, he would never hit me. And that alone had given me the courage to always speak my mind. What if he was only doing this to get on my good side? To make sure I would do whatever he wanted? Acting as his girlfriend wasn’t hard, especially since I really liked him. And if this was all I was ever going to do here, I would surely enjoy this. My only hope was that, while I played the part of his girlfriend, he would not bring in women here or fuck another somewhere else. I guess that was asking too much, but even a girl like me could dream.I eventually fell asleep, and despite not getting a whole night’s rest, I still woke up early. I was excited to

  • THE SUBSTITUTE LUNA   Chapter 34

IRIS.I wanted to tell him about the ointment but realized my wound had already dried and didn’t need it. So he’d know I just made up an excuse to see him.“I wonder if you will let me clean your room.” I blurted. His forehead creased as he crossed his arms across his chest. Before he could say anything, I was talking again. “I was told you don’t let just anyone inside to clean, but I can promise that I will only clean and not touch anything I’m not allowed to. I want to do something, but they are not letting me help in the kitchen either. But of course, if you have any other work for me, then I will do it.”“We have somewhere to be tomorrow.”“Yes, Alpha. But the day after?”“I didn’t take you here to make you my slave.” “I don’t think cleaning a room is slavery. I want to earn something. I can’t let you pay for my clothes and everything else when you already gave up your land to take me here.”“I should have been clearer. I’m going to give you an allowance…”“No, Alpha.” My hands c
