Chapter Thirty Four

Selena’s POV

My joy, which was supposed to last forever, was cut short when I got a call from Ricky. Thinking he wanted to apologize for ignoring my calls and texts, I picked his call with a bright smile.

“Hello dear.” I cooed, twisting my hair in-between my fingers.

“End it.” His cold response came. I had to take my phone off my ear to confirm his identity.

This was the first time he was speaking so coldly to me. Even when he discovered I was the reason Eric returned and began to make trouble, he didn’t speak to me with this tone.

“Why the sour tone? Fine, I know you are mad at me…” I was still speaking when he interrupted.

“You think I won’t find out?” He asked.

“Can you just stop this madness young lady?” Cole’s voice came through.

“Young lady?” I asked, biting my bottom lips. Things had really gone south.

“Ask Eric or whoever is behind that fake news on the school website to bring it down else, you wouldn’t like what would happen to you.” Ricky said with a deep voice.
