Chapter Fifty-two.Diana's povThe prince and his ‘new mate’ took their precious time before they left the queen's chamber.It took everything in me not to look at him. Chapter Fifty-three.Diana's pov.A mob of angry citizens gathered in the distance by one of the buses that had left the palace. Chapter Fifty-four.Diana's pov.It was finally time for me to visit the king's chambers, it had taken me a while to get the perfect opportunity but I realized there wasn't the right time, there was just the present.I had overheard that the king would be having a late meeting with the ministers that night and I couldn't have found a better chance. Yes it was risky for him to still be in the palace but I had no idea when he would be leaving the palace.The reason behind this meeting was unknown, I didn't stay long to listen and I doubted it concerned me in any way.It was night time and I made sure of a few things, one; that the meeting had begun and all the ministers that needed to be present were. Chapter Fifty-five.Diana's pov.I Picked up my heart that was this close to falling out of my chest. I had to reach the west wing but first I had to return the tray back to the kitchen. I turned on the faucet in the kitchen and washed the sweat off of me.What was the king doing there? Had they concluded their meeting? That was quick. If I had stayed in his chambers even for a second longer I would have been caught.I breathed out a sigh of relief, I thought I was going to be caught. I glanced at the orb which was upon the counter at a safe distance, water droplets dripped down my face. I was still very much afraid of the orb, its visions had plagued me for a while before they had subsided. Although I still had trouble sleeping, it wasn't as bad as it was the first time I had touched it. Chapter Fifty-six.Diana's pov.I still couldn't move… My legs stood frozen in place from fear, it took me a brief second before I got out of the cupboard and stared at Luke questioningly, “What was that all about? Why was the king here and what did he mean by wiping out?” I voiced my concerns, and King williams angry expression flashed in my mind, it made my skin crawl.I wondered why he was so angry, he wanted to wipe out someone and my thoughts were on the chosen one, according to the prophecy. And, if he couldn't find that person then he was really going to wipe out everyone else. Chapter Fifty-seven. Diana's pov. I took a deep breath and let it go, "Was I truly ready?" I asked myself as I stepped into one of the triangles as instructed and waited while Luke stared at me. His stare only made me more nervous and so I avoided it and glanced down at the orb. The last time I was on this spot, I still could remember what had happened, but at least this time I would be prepared. I took a deep breath, “I'm ready.” I swallowed the lump that had formed in my throat. Luke nodded determinedly, “Stretch out your hands and touch the orb,” he instructed again. I stretched out my hands and let them linger. Before I touched the orb, it began to glow, I lifted my eyes to confirm, “Is it supposed to do that?” I began to ask when Luke's expression caught me off guard; his eyes were wide open as he stared at the glowing ball confused. Chapter Fifty-eight.Diana's pov.Darkness. Silence. Peace…I didn't know how long I was out, when I finally came through, I groaned and held my head in pain. Chapter Fifty-nine.Alaric's pov.Preparations for the ceremony haven't even started, you can even get the whiff of celebration in the air but I was already tired. My father had held a meeting the night before where he had addressed the ministers on the development of things or rather the talking of things— How there was disturbance to the supply of goods to the upper city as well as the palace.
