Clown

As I went down to my room from the second floor, I still felt sleepy. I just woke up but I was still sleepy. I still felt my eyes struggling to open. Argh! Why did I sleep so long last night? There was a new episode released in my favorite manhwa so I didn't let it miss right away.

I was still wearing my pajamas while wearing leather slippers and my long hair was still very messy. I ignored it because I wanted to drink coffee to get my energy back and also to make my sleepiness go away.

When I entered the kitchen, I noticed that our housekeepers had stopped what they were doing. But I ignored it and immediately went to the other table to make coffee. I kept my eyes closed while grabbing a glass and seasoning.

"You got salt, not sugar." the person behind me suddenly said so I looked at it in surprise.

"Can you please stop being like that? Are you going to kill me?!" I shouted in surprise. But instead of apologizing, he just laughed at me.

"You look like a zombie when you walk, Miss. Hahahaha! You didn't wash your face either?" he asked while also examining my face.

I slapped his finger pointing at me, making him gasp. "We're not close, Lucian. So don't act like that and talk like we're close."

He straightened up and leaned on the table while looking at me. I decided to continue making coffee rather than pay attention to the man next to me.

"That's why I'm talking to you because we're not close yet. In short, I'm just flirting. You know what, grandma will raise my salary when she finds out that we're close and that I take care of you." Lucian said while still laughing.

I looked at him and also examined the kitchen. I saw Grandma smiling at Lucian. Who is really grandma's real grandson? Me or Lucian?

I closed my eyes and then grabbed the coffee that was already brewing and left the kitchen. I went back to my room to fix myself. I was about to open the door to my room to enter when I heard footsteps behind me. I rolled my eyes when I realized who it was so I looked at it annoyed.

"Why are you following me Lucian?" I asked him irritated.

"I'm your personal bodyguard, right? Well, I'm here to watch over you." he replied to me and leaned on the railings of the hallway while still looking at me.

"Your duty starts at 8, Lucian. Go downstairs first. Come with me later. I'll go shopping." I ordered her as I immediately entered the room and closed it before he could answer.

I was about to put the coffee I brought on my study table when Lucian suddenly shouted outside. "Who are we going to ride, Miss?!"

I put down the coffee and opened the curtain on the window. "You're going to drive my car to the mall today!"

"Noted Miss! Take a bath! You smell like saliva!" he ordered me, which made me roll my eyes.

He was acting like we're really close. I took my towel and went into the bathroom to take a bath while cooling my coffee down a bit. I also took a quick bath so I knew my coffee wouldn't be as cold as ice. I did all my routine from taking a bath to getting ready.

I had just finished drinking coffee so I put it aside on my study table. I went to the mirror while looking at my whole body. I was wearing a pure white tiered halter mini dress that was 3 layers sheer and flared out all the way down, open at the back and then at my shoulder, with a tie at the neck and only reaching mid-thigh. For my make up, I put on soft-brown eyeshadow, thin eyeliner, mascara, and I also put nude pink lipstick. I let my long, dark straight hair fall. I also wear white strappy heels with a bow.

I turned around because of my elegant appearance today. I am beautiful! Very beautiful and sexy. My aura is feminine, sexy but dangerous. I took my black shoulder bag and also put on perfume and went out.

When I went down to the living room, I saw Grandma sitting on the sofa while reading a newspaper. I immediately went over to her and kissed her on the cheek so she looked at me.

"Where are you going, Celestine? Why are you so dressed up?" she asked me.

"She's going shopping, Grandma!" Lucian replied from behind me so I glared at him.

"Why do you keep interrupting me? Grandma wasn't asking you!" I said to him but he just laughed at me.

He looked at Grandma and kissed her on the cheek so I frowned. Wow ah? What a thick face!

"Good morning Grandma! I had a great sleep here at your house, Grandma." he said while still having a smile on his lips.

Grandma frowned as she stared at Lucian and me and then spoke. "Why are you so dressed up, Lucian?"

"Grandma, Lucian is my personal bodyguard, so wherever I go, he should be there. He's right behind me." I replied to Grandma.

Lucian looked at me and sat on the sofa. "So, when you go to CR, I'll come with you too? Are you crazy?"

"Except for that! Besides, Grandma, we're leaving now!" I said goodbye to Grandma, who responded to me with a nod. I immediately turned around and walked out. I also heard Lucian and Grandma laughing.

I pulled into the parking lot and got into my black Sedan. I sat in the passenger seat while waiting for my kind personal bodyguard.

After a while, the driver's seat door suddenly opened and Lucian immediately got in. He was wearing black pants and a fitted white t-shirt.

He looked at me in the rearview mirror and smiled.

"Miss, give me the car keys. It won't start without a key." he ordered me.

I took the keys from my shoulder bag and gave them to him.

"Thank you, Miss. You're so kind! You're just dumb." he said and then started the car out of the parking lot.

I leaned against the closed window while looking at the buildings passing by.

I wondered why she had chosen the son of my grandmother's former bodyguard. It was as if Lucian wasn't used to being guarded 24/7.

I adjusted my seat and looked at Lucian who was just staring straight at the road.

"Lucian." I called him.

"Why?"

"Were you a clown before?" I asked him, making him laugh.

"Hahaha!" he laughed while still slapping the steering wheel. "Hahaha! You're kidding Miss! Why did you say that?"

I felt a pang of shame in my body because it seemed wrong to ask him. "Because, it's like you're not used to this kind of work. You're all about making fun. That's why I thought maybe you used to be a clown."

"Why Miss? Are you happy?" he asked me in a serious voice.
