“Thank you,” I let out a deep breath. “I needed that.”

“Yeah you did,” he laughed. “Been acting like you're in heat.”

“Ugh,” I gasped. “That's not true.”

Isolated, yet not out of shape, blending well into the surrounding beach houses. Easily defendable, but discreet. It is barely 5 am. I wiped the sweat away from my face, a sick grin stretching across my face. My brother knew I was coming. I parked my car a quarter mile away, and pulled out my gun from the glove box.

Despite my protests, Sophia insisted on packing with me, and she moved slowly, throwing some clothes into the bag.“Are you strong enough to travel?” I asked her. She had been silent all these while, and I hated doing this to her.“Yes,” she said, throwing a gown into the suitcase. “I can do whatever I have to.”We had six hours before Richard reached out to my father. He had to confirm to be sure about our identities, and that window was the only one we had to escape. I led Sophia down the building’s service elevator. The cameras I couldn't hack were luckily not here, so I moved quickly, before someone could see us.Soon, we drove away from the place we called home for two months. I drove fast, using the darkness and the fact it was midnight so the roads would be empty to speed a little bit, driving faster than before. I kept on glancing at the rearview mirror, just in case
