LOGIN_"She thinks I'm you, brother. And for the first time in her miserable marriage, she's finally being loved the way she deserves."_ *Sophia's father's gambling debt sold her to the ruthless Kane family like she was just another asset to collect.* Now she's married to Adrian Kane, superstar striker who touches her like she's a chore he can't wait to finish. A touch that feels more like punishment than passion. But some nights, he comes to her different. His mouth worships every inch of her. His hands make her ache for more. She tells herself it's still him—maybe the pressure has fractured something inside her husband's mind. But the truth isn't pressure or split personality. Those passionate nights aren't her husband at all. It's his psycho identical twin brother claiming her in the dark, giving her the passion he believes Adrian doesn't deserve to give. Damien knows how to make her beg—the wrong Kane with all the right sins. He watches her when she sleeps. He learns every secret she's never dared to confess. And when he slides into her bed wearing his brother's face, she forgets how to scream "no." He says she belongs to him now. He says she'll never escape his obsession. And the most twisted part? She's starting to crave the monster in the dark more than the man she was sold to. *But what happens when Adrian discovers the deception?* *And how far will Damien go to keep the woman he's claimed as his own?* *When the truth finally comes to light, which Kane brother will she choose—and will she even have a choice?*

I smoothed out a crinkle in the long white gown, making sure everything was perfect. “There we go,” my mama smiles at me as she comes into the room where I've been alone for twenty minutes. Her blue eyes shine with admiration for me. “You did well, Sophie.”
“Thank you Mama,” I plastered a fake smile on my face too. After all, I was doing the whole family a favour.
“Your papa sends his apologies,”she tells me, adjusting the large veil covering my face. “He couldn't make it.”
Tears stung my eyes again. “Well, good thing he isn't here, afterall I am paying for his debts.”
My mother, Sarah Martinez, a proud woman, grabbed my chin through the veil. “Listen Sophie, we are lucky this is all they asked from your papa. It could be worse.”
I wished it was worse, I wish they would kill him. How foolish could you be to gamble away all our fortune and owe the Kane family? Everyone in the city feared them, they were living legends, their grandfather had formed a coalition so strong, they ruled the country.
Now, I had to marry the heir.
I wiped the tests that had fallen on my face, prepared for the worse of a terrible day. I would get married to the Kane heir and do my duty, hopefully, my husband would be a kind man.
The wedding went off to a great start, Adrian Kane, the heir to the Kane enterprises, quarterback of Kane City Bulls, named the most talented man by the press and all the raucous magazines I got my hand on the day I found out I would be getting married to him, was a regal, royal looking man. With his sharp chiseled jaw, his striking gaze and brown hair and a height of over 6 feet, it was easy to see why he rose quickly to becoming his father's second in command.
He barely spoke to me, barely looked at me even during the wedding. I didn't mind it, I mumbled greetings to family and friends that came to wish us a happy life, and took notice of the men standing guard at the entrances to the wedding venue.
The drive to the Kane Mansion was even more quiet. My heart beat so loudly, I feared he might hear it. “Lovely weather, isn't it?” I croaked out. He ignored me, fixated on his mobile device. I shrugged and looked at the road. He could be quiet for all I cared.
“Welcome, Mr. Kane,” a man opened the car door, bowing so low, I almost feared his head would touch the ground. “William,” Adrian replied, nodding his head in greeting back. “This is my wife.”
The man—the butler, I presumed—glanced at me. “A honour, ma'am.”
“Thank you,” I said, gathering the large train of my gown so I could climb the numerous stairs into the house. I followed Adrian closely, not wanting to get lost in this big house. It could easily fit in my papa's house and there would be extra for a playground. “You would be shown around the grounds soon,” Adrian said. We came to a door which he opened, directing me to go inside.
“This is your toon, well, our room.”
The bedroom was like an old Victorian room, with floor to ceiling windows, a king sized bed in the middle, cushioned by a frame that was obviously a vintage piece. The floors were covered with a soft rug, and I ached to take my shoes off. “It is beautiful,”I whispered, walking into the closet. It was big enough for both of us, and my bags were already delivered here.
I came out of the closet. Adrian was facing one of the windows, the red velvet curtains drawn. I took off my veil and laid it on the bed. “Do you want to talk?” I asked hesitantly. We were just married and he didn't seem too interested in me.
“Not really. Take off your gown. Lay it under you, we need to consummate this marriage.” He commanded.
Fear crept up my body. Mama had told me about this, the dealings between a man and a woman. I watched p**n also, but tonight, I would finally feel a man between my thighs.
My gown was laced at the back and I struggled a bit with it. After twenty minutes, I got it off, and spread it on the bed. “Why must the gown be involved?” I asked curiously.
“Your papa's debt was to be repaid with a virgin,”he said coldly. “If you are not one, you and your family would be killed.”
I gasped. “Surely, that's a joke?” Adrian turned around, “Do I look like I play jokes? Lay down and spread your legs.”
I had always wished my first time would be with someone I loved dearly. My ex boyfriend, Mario, had begged me to have sex with him but I refused. Now, my family's life hangs on me being pure.
I was in a white high push up bra, a thing and garters. It was meant to make me look pure and sexy for him, something to give me power. All I felt was sadness as I spread my legs open.
Adrian came close to the edge of the bed, staring down at my body. “Panties,” he said. I lifted myself slightly, pulling the thing down my body.
I watched him take off his shirt and singlet, a tattoo on his shoulder. He climbed me roughly, spreading my legs even wider. Tears almost fell down, but I was determined to go through this.
“Ugh,” I cried out as he bit my breasts roughly between his teeth. He fumbled a bit with his belt and suddenly, I felt something prod at my entrance.
“Wait, please,” I begged in fear. He didn't listen to me. Suddenly, I felt a sharp stab and I cried out in pain, the tears finally falling down my cheeks. He didn't look at me or stop while I cried in pain.
The feeling of his cock inside me, moving back and forth, the grunts of pleasure that fell from his lips. I closed my eyes tightly, making sure I don't make a single sound.
“Ugh, fuck, Ugh,” he grunted, moving in and out of my body. He put his hands beneath me, lifting me higher to meet his dick. “Thank fuck, you are tight.”he grunted.
I was motionless, surrendering to the pain of being used by this man. After what seemed like forever, he let out a guttural sound.
Adrian moved out of me and looked down. “Virgin. Good” He turned around and left, leaving me in the bed.
I looked down between my legs, staring in shock at the blood there. It was so much. I heard water running, he was taking a shower. I couldn't move yet, my legs locked in pain.
After a while, Adrian came out of the bathroom. He glanced at me briefly, then left, slamming the door behind me. I cried harder at that, my first time being intimate, I was treated lower than a common whore.
“Okay,Sophie,” I said loudly, “Get up.” I managed to stand, wincing from the pain. I gathered the wedding dress, stained with my blood and threw it into the closet. He could take care of it. As I walked back into the room, I noticed something from the corner of my eye.
There was a building opposite our house, with a room facing ours directly. A single lamp lit up the room, casting dark shadows across it.
One shadow stood close to the window, holding a pair of binoculars facing directly into our room.
CHAPTER CHAPTER FORTY-THREE: LAW SCHOOL BEGINSSophia’s POVI rushed into class, late for the third time this week. My lecturer frowned deeply, but he said nothing while I went to my seat, looking down.“Sorry,” I said, pushing through people to get to my seat. My friend Jessica was smiling, and she lifted her bag for me to sit down.“Long night?” She asked.I rolled my eyes. “Tiffany is going through a phase,” I said. Jessica was a single mother of a five-year-old. “Damien had to go out all night, and she was very agitated.”“Refused daycare, eh?” she asked.Yes, it had gotten to the stage where my daughter cried every time she had to go to school. We listened to the rest of the lecture, and then Jessica followed me home.“Would you like a cup of coffee?” I asked.“Yes, please,” Jessica replied, setting her bag on the table. “It's so nice, coming home to an empty house.”I laughed. “Yeah, I barely have time for myself again. Being a parent is amazing, but Christ.”
CHAPTER FORTY-TWO: NEW BEGINNINGS SOPHIA’S POVOne Year Later“Damien,” I shrieked. My husband came into the study, followed by my toddler. “Look at it,” I pushed the laptop screen towards him. “I'm so scared I can't look.”“You were amazing in school, baby, I am sure they would want you,” Damien replied, shooing me away. K got out of the seat and went behind him, picking up Tiffany.I graduated from school with my B.sc degree in criminal studies. Damien was so proud of me, and he was shocked when I told him I wanted to apply for law school now.“I want to help women like me,” I had said.He supported me, helped me get the forms, and write the entrance examinations. Now, the results were here. “What does it say?”Damien rolled his eyes. “I am trying to log into your portal.”He pressed a bit, and then turned to me with a huge grin.“I…got in?”He stood of and lifted me, spinning I am Tiffany in the air. “You got in,” he shouted. “My wife's going to be a defense At
CHAPTER FORTY-ONE: THE PAST RESURFACESSOPHIA’S POVI pushed the cart, looking for the bag of chips Damien liked. She was inside her stroller and pushing both things was quite difficult. Unfortunately, Damien had a meeting today, and we were running seriously low on groceries.“Here it is, baby,” I cooed. “Here's your Daddy's favorite chips.”I sighed. “Okay, next stop, cashier's counter,” I said with a smile. I grabbed both the cart and my baby stroller and turned, looking down at Tiffany. When I raised my head, a man was standing in the produce section. I smiled first, trying to be polite, but then he dropped what he was holding and started walking towards me.When he was closer, my blood went cold.I let go of my cart and grabbed just the stroller. “Let's go,” I hissed, spinning around. I could grocery shop somewhere else, not where that…bastard was.I sighted the exit, and just before I moved, the man blocked my path. “Sophia Kane,” he said.I looked up at Charlie
CHAPTER FORTY: NEW IDENTITIESDAMIEN’S POV“Are you certain?” I whispered, looking back at my child and her mother. “Is it safe now?”“Yes, Mr. Kane,” Agent Chen said. “It was easy to do, along with the testimony of your wife. The entire Kane organization has been dismantled. Your father is in prison, and he'll be there for a long long time.”I nodded. “What about the rest?”“Multiple heads have been arrested too. You should have seen them, scrambling to escape and running into us at their private airstrips,” I heard someone shout in the background and the detective pulled her phone away from her ears. “You're free to resurface.”I sucked in a deep breath. “That is good news then,” I said.“It's the same offer. Free brand new identities, and you all can be in the witness program if you want to.”I didn't but I couldn't not make the decision alone. “I will get back to you. My wife and I, we need to discuss.”I hung up the call. “Who was that?” Sophia asked, bouncing Tiffany on her laps
