TWENTY ONE

Suddenly a gunshot was heard from inside the theatre. Hunter paused briefly to see what was going on. Panic screams started to sound very loud from inside the theater building and people were seen starting to scatter out.

"What happened?"

“Screw them. The auction must not have gone well.”

Mila panicked even more when Hunter pulled her closer to his car. There was no chance of escaping at all. People from inside the theater poured out and they were too busy to save themselves from the chaos that was happening in the theatre.

Mila had completely given up when they almost reached Hunter's car. But a shot suddenly rang behind them, and Hunter suddenly released his grip and growled loudly.

"Ezra?" muttered Mila confused. She saw Hunter groaning in pain while holding his bleeding arm. But strangely she actually felt relieved and she ran away from Hunter towards Ezra who was standing holding a gun near the balcony steps.
