My whole body is sore. I turn to the other side of the bed and see that it is already morning. I am curious of what usually goes on around here.

"Ma'am," comes a female voice from the other side of the door. "Yes," being called ma'am is weird. "Your breakfast is ready," she says, as I get out of bed.

I open the door to find a middle aged woman waiting patiently, like that is what she is made for. "Thank you, I will be down in a minute," I tell her, hoping she would go away.

"It's okay, I can wait. Take your time," she says it with a smile. I want to argue, but decide against it.

I take a quick hot shower, feeling the water ease my entire body. I know she said she could wait, and I don't doubt it. I am just not used to people waiting on me.

After the shower, I put on the clothes closest to me.

"You know I could find my way to the dining room," I still feel uncomfortable with the whole arrangement.

She  leads me to the elevator. One floor down and we enter a dining room with a gorgeous open kitchen. The table is already set, with variety of foods.

"Where is he?" I say, walking to the table. "He is already off to work," she answers. "Do you make all these food for every meal," I ask looking at the table astonished.

"If necessary, plus I still have no idea what are your likes or dislikes," she says, before she starts serving me.

After breakfast, I walk around. I have three floors that are just mine. My living room, my dining room, my kitchen, my three bedrooms, my library and office, my gym room, my closet. Even my own sauna.

I have everything I could ever need and want. But I still can't wait to get out of here.

The ground floor is the common floor. The second, third and fourth are mine, and the ones on top of that are Jaden's. It has been made very clear that I am not welcomed there.

I know if I need any kind of evidence against those are the floors I need to get to.

"Is there anything I need to do?" I don't remember the last time I had absolutely nothing to do. "No ma'am. Not today," she says, following me.

I walk back into the room I spent the night before. I feel lonely, but I would rather be alone than with someone who is clearly keeping me company just so she can spy on me.

I change into a swim suit.

There are more workers outside the house. I feel their stares as I walk past them. I can hear them talk about me.

"I can't believe he found someone to replace the previous young miss," one of them says. "It is just a contract marriage. He doesn't love her like he did the young miss," another one says.

They all agree with her. The previous young miss was loved. He loved her. Then what happened?

"Have you seen just how he keeps his distance from her? He won't even let her into his floors let alone his room." the last one says eager to prove her point.

With a smile I walk to the pool and dive in splashing water on them.

They go away. I may not be loved or liked by their master, but I am still the mistress. I still have power when it comes to the household and they know it.

It is sunny and a perfect day for swimming. As I swim I let my mind wander. I need a plan. I cannot just wait on luck, but I also cannot risk being reckless.

I am not sure what he is capable of, but after last night I am even more certain that he is someone capable of murder. I still remember how his eyes lit up when he saw the pain in mine.

The first step was to get into his world, which I sucessfully managed to. The second is to  find anything about him and my sister.

That is going to need me to be cunning. Then when I finally find something, I disrupt his  life.

I come up from under the water, and find a three year old boy standing over me. He is suckling on one of his fingers and his large eyes are staring at me.

"Where did you come from?" I ask him. He just stares at me. I get out of the water. "Okay, then what is your name?" He doesn't answer.

I walk to the pool lounge chairs. He follows closely behind me. He stands beside me when I sit. "You are a handsome young man," I softly pinch his big soft cheeks, and he chuckles.

I used to think of having one of my own. But that was before Jaden. That dream died after him. "Sweetie, are you lost?" I am starting to worry.

This place is impenetrable. There is no way a kid could have gotten in by himself. Maybe he belongs to one of the workers.

"Where is mama?" I ask him, but he just continues looking at me. He is not the worst company. I lift him and put him on the chair next to me.

"Can I have some refreshmesnts?" I ask one of the workers who was passing by. "Anything specific?" She asks, looking curiously at the boy.

"Martini for me and juice for the boy," I say, looking at the boy. He  is a happy boy. Quiet, but happy. "And also some cakes and cookies," I am not sure when was the last time he had something to eat.

It doesn't take long before she comes back with a tray full of what I had ordered. "Thank you."

I serve the boy juice and push the snacks close to where he can reach them. He smiles before taking a cookie off the plate.

I watch as he bites it and as he lights up before drinking some juice. I can't help feeling all warm inside. I am never going to have this. I take a sip of my martini, in an effort to keep my feelings in check.

The cake looks too big in his tiny hand, but he doesn't look too bothered. He doesn't eat much, but he drinks the entire glass of juice. I top him up.

He gets up from his chair and comes back to standing by my side.

He just stares at me. He sometimes reaches out and plays with my hair and my sunglasses. He disappears behind my chair and then comes back infront of me before bursting out in a melodious laughter.

His laughter is innocent and priceless, and I can't help smile everytime he does that.

I am too mesmerized by his presence that I don't notice the weather change. The clouds open up with no warning and rain starts pouring.

I take a towel and cover him. I rush to the house. All the employees had cleared out. I had forgotten to ask for the key code.

The rain seems to be increasing. I hug him tighter, but I can already feel him shaking. I need to get in quick but I can't help but think where the hell is his mother?

I am think of going around the house and look for an open window. Just as I am about to walk away from the door, an umbrella covers us.

I turn back. I find Jaden standing behind me. One hand holding the umbrella and the other one in his pocket.

In the midst of everything I had not hear him come in. "What are you doing here?" It is too early for him to be back home.

He doesn't answer. He stares at the boy I am holding and I swear I see fear.

I am afraid to see where he is going with this, but I am even more terrified of defying him. I stand in front of the mirror staring at the terror in my eyes. He walks behind me. I close my eyes when I feel him touching the back of my neck. His hands are cold and I get goosebumps. He slides his fingers slowly down my back, up to where the zip begins. He slowly unzips the dress. He reaches underneath the undone dress and wraps his hand around my waist. He pulls me back against his bare chest. He burries his face in my neck, and the dress slowly falls to the floor. "How could you be looking at another man on our wedding day?" he whispers in my ear. I open my eyes and try moving away from him. He tightens his grip on me. I look at the mirror. His face is still burried in my neck and all I can see is his black hair. "I-I was not," I mutter, b

He holds my face by the chin and turns me towards him. Does he know how sorry I feel right now standing up here with him. Jaden looks like he is going to explode with anger. He obviously noticed who I was looking at. But I couldn't help myself."Repeat after me," the officiant says, eager to get his part over with. "I Dalia Shaw take you Jaden Baker to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, in poverty and in richness, to adore and revere you till death do us part," I repeat after him. "You may exchange the wedding rings," I slide his ring down his middle finger. He starts with the engagement ring I never got and finishes with the wedding ring. I hate how perfectly they fit me. Dalia's p.o.vI have not seen Jaden since that night in the hotel. He has been sending me expensive gifts almost everyday. It is his way of making sure I don't back out before I sign the contract. I really shouldn't go ahead with my plan. But what if Delilah is not dead? What if she is somewhere waiting for me to save her and I cowardly back out? No matter how much I think of it, I keep going back and forth unsure of what to do. I guess I'll just have to wait for the wedding day and do what I feel that day. ****************I have been waiting for this day and dreading it at the same time. I couldn't even sleep last night. I am on my way to get some more coffee when the bell rings. It's Jaden. "Hey, morning," I say stepping back. "Morning," he walks in and darts his eyes quickly across the room. "It's not even six yet," I complain, walking to the couch. "Today is going to be very busy. I thought we should get this out of the way," he gets the contract and hands it over to me."Do

I just thought it might be a start of something," I look away. "What? A relationship," he sounds shocked that a girl like me might want to be doted on and adored. "What's wrong with that?" "You don't look like someone who has much use for romance," he says seriously. "And how would you know that?" I don't like how he seems to have me figured out. "Just a feeling.""I need to get married before the end of the month and I would really appreciate your help," he sounds sincere but his face is still expressionless. "Why me?" "Because you were the first girl I laid my eyes on after receiving the order," I don't believe it, but I can't probe without giving myself away. "What do I get out of it? That is if I decide to go on with it," he looks at me then back at the folder he's holding. "Anything that money can buy," t

Dalia's p.o.v "Hello," there's a silence on the other side of the phone. "Hello, who is it?" I repeat, feeling a mixture of anxiety and annoyance. "It's me," a whisper of the voice I have longed to hear for a year responds. "Delilah is that you darling?" I stand. "Yes Dalia it's me," her voice is weak. "Are you okay?" She hesitates long enough for me to know she's not. "I think this is it D," I can tell she's scared. "Where are you baby?" I ask, putting on my shoes. I am almost out the door when I hear her scream. It stops me on my tracks. Her screams are excruciating, piercing my heart. "Delilah where are you?" I ask again when there's silence. "Tell him I forgive him," she says in between painful moans, then hangs up. I call the number at least twenty times. At first it would just go unanswered but eventually it is disconnected and I have no hope of locating my dear twin sister. I put my life on hold for six months to go looking for her.
