로그인Dalia's p.o.v
"Hello," there's a silence on the other side of the phone. "Hello, who is it?" I repeat, feeling a mixture of anxiety and annoyance. "It's me," a whisper of the voice I have longed to hear for a year responds.
"Delilah is that you darling?" I stand. "Yes Dalia it's me," her voice is weak. "Are you okay?" She hesitates long enough for me to know she's not. "I think this is it D," I can tell she's scared. "Where are you baby?" I ask, putting on my shoes.
I am almost out the door when I hear her scream. It stops me on my tracks. Her screams are excruciating, piercing my heart. "Delilah where are you?" I ask again when there's silence. "Tell him I forgive him," she says in between painful moans, then hangs up.
I call the number at least twenty times. At first it would just go unanswered but eventually it is disconnected and I have no hope of locating my dear twin sister.
I put my life on hold for six months to go looking for her. After all that I seem to come to one conclusion: only one person can be responsible for her disappearance or even death, the most popular billionaire Jaden Baker.
I need a way into his life.
**************
I am starting to get frustrated. He doesn't seem to be someone who can be approached easily. I have used Delilah's journal to make myself into his ideal type but ater following him for a month now, he hasn't even spared me another look.
He simply hasn't even looked my way.
"Next," I say without looking up. I wait to hear the order but get nothing. I look up and almost give myself away. Standing there, barely ten feet away is Jaden staring at me like he has just seen a ghost.
His reaction is confirmation enough that he knew my sister and knows that she is dead. "We'll take one of each," a good looking guy in a suit says. I know him, his assisstant who goes everywhere with him.
I struggle to take my eyes off Jaden and work on their order. "Anything else?" I ask with a smile which seems to disarm him. They turn to walk away. I won't have another shot. 'Say something, anything' my mind screams at me.
Just as I am about to, he turns back. "Marry me," it comes of more as a command than a request.
At first I am not sure what I've heard. "What did you say to me?" He looks a bit unsure and Alex looks shocked and fails terribly at hiding it. "Marry me," he comes closer.
I laugh it off as a joke. "At least take me to dinner first," I say lightly. "When?" he asks with a straight face. "I was kidding," I look into his deep black eyes staring back at mine. "I am not."
There is no emotion from him. Other than the shock on his face when he saw me, he's cold. His eyes are like looking deep into his dark soul. His stare send a chill down my spine. How did Delilah tolerate this man, let alone love him?
"Well, I am busy this week," I can't help but hesitate. Having met him, I need to think this through. "Okay. How about next week?" he asks, clearly not used to being rejected. "Sure," I need to leave a door open just in case I decide to go through with it.
"Alex take her information. I'll contact you at the start of next week so we can set aside an evening," he walks out. I stare at him until he is out of my sight. I give my information to Alex who quickly goes after his boss.
************
No matter how much I wish I could go back to my quiet life, I can't go back without answers. What if Delilah is still alive and is counting on me to save her? I can't let the last time I saw her be the last time. Not after how we left things.
The bell is rung at exactly seven. I open the door to see Jaden standing there. He is dressed in a dark gray three piece suit. I hate to admit it but he is a good looking man, with no visible sign of imperfection.
"Are you ready?" he asks, eyeing me up and down. "I am," I feel self concious. "Why? Don't I look ready?" I step out of the door. We walk to the elevator.
"Where are we going?" I ask, when we get off the elevator. "Somewhere nice," his response is as cold as his expression. Why did he ask me out if he is going to be this way. I don't mind, I just want to make sure I understand him as much as I can so I will not end up surprised.
I need to figure out his secrets before he can figure out mine.
We stop in front of The Penal Green. In this hotel one meal costs more than my rent. It is even more lavish than I have heard. As soon as we enter, people turn to look at us. Everyone seems enchanted by his presence. Some are brave to approach us, the rest are smart enough to stay out of his way.
"Alex, get these people away from me," I knew he was cruel, but seeing it first hand is still shocking. We get inside the elevator and quietly ride to the twenty fifth floor, the highest floor.
The VIP suite is breath taking. It has a high ceiling and high end furnitures and devices in the room. The chandelier in the living room is huge and bright. The one in the dining is dimmer but not less beautiful. I can't help but gawk at everything.
I don't even notice him going around me and siting on the couch. "Are you going to stand there all night?" he snaps me back to reality. I take a seat next to him.
"What will you have?" Alex asks, getting me the menu. I look through it. There are more foods I do not recognize than ones I do. "Well cooked stake," I decide to go with a safe choice.
"Aren't you eating?" I ask when Alex doesn't take his order. "I don't eat with other people," he takes a book that is on the table and starts reading it.
"I thought we were on a date," I hate how needy that sounded. "I thought you wanted dinner," he doesn't even look up from the book. "Doesn't that usually mean date," I continue. "Do you need this to be a date?" he asks, finally closing the book. "Yes."
"Okay. What do you want to talk about?" At the top of my list is what did he do to my sister. But I have a feeling he won't tell me anything and this will be the last time I see him. "Do people gawk at you when you enter any place?" I decide to be safe. "Only when it's mine."
Of course its his. "Food is served," Alex says, pointing to the dining room. "Thank you," I jump to my feet and Jaden follows me. "Enjoy your dinner, I'll be with you shortly," he says, walking to where the bedrooms are.
I have to say the food here is worth the hype. I eat every last bit and start savouring the wine. He walks in with only a towel wrapped around his waist, catching me holding the wine glass mid air.
My brain stops functioning as my eyes caress his torso slowly. The closer he gets, the more out of breath I feel. "Are you okay?" he asks, sitting near me. I nod, not trusting my voice. "Okay. Let's get down to business then," he says, opening the folder that has been sitting there all through dinner.
"What business?" I place the wine glass on the table. "The marriage proposal," he notices the confusion on my face. "You didn't think the proposal was some sort of a romantic gesture, did you?"
Dalia's p.o.vI have not seen Jaden since that night in the hotel. He has been sending me expensive gifts almost everyday. It is his way of making sure I don't back out before I sign the contract. I really shouldn't go ahead with my plan. But what if Delilah is not dead? What if she is somewhere waiting for me to save her and I cowardly back out? No matter how much I think of it, I keep going back and forth unsure of what to do. I guess I'll just have to wait for the wedding day and do what I feel that day. ****************I have been waiting for this day and dreading it at the same time. I couldn't even sleep last night. I am on my way to get some more coffee when the bell rings. It's Jaden. "Hey, morning," I say stepping back. "Morning," he walks in and darts his eyes quickly across the room. "It's not even six yet," I complain, walking to the couch. "Today is going to be very busy. I thought we should get this out of the way," he gets the contract and hands it over to me."Do
Dalia's p.o.vIt is easier to get information from soneone who loves you, even like you. If this is just business to him that will make my life so much harder. "Of course not. I just thought it might be a start of something," I look away. "What? A relationship," he sounds shocked that a girl like me might want to be doted on and adored. "What's wrong with that?" "You don't look like someone who has much use for romance," he says seriously. "And how would you know that?" I don't like how he seems to have me figured out. "Just a feeling.""I need to get married before the end of the month and I would really appreciate your help," he sounds sincere but his face is still expressionless. "Why me?" "Because you were the first girl I laid my eyes on after receiving the order," I don't believe it, but I can't probe without giving myself away. "What do I get out of it? That is if I decide to go on with it," he looks at me then back at the folder he's holding. "Anything that money can buy,"

Jaden's p.o.v"Get on your knees," I look at her as she slowly lowers her naked self before me. She holds her hands out for me to hit. I hate it when she disobeys me, but a part of me gets bored when she doesn't. "Do you know what you did wrong?" I run the whip through her body and watch her quiver as I linger between her legs. "Yes," she whispers, her sweet voice melting me. "How many do you think you deserve," I place the whip under her chin and lift her face. "As many as it pleases you master," her caramel eyes look softly at me. I hit her, and watch her wince in pain and slight delight. I hit her until I see tears welling up in her eyes. "I am sorry," she says, holding them back. I can't help myself but kneel before her. I cup her cheeks in my hands. "I know you are," she lets the tears fall and I wipe them. Her eyes are glistening at me and that is as much as I can take. I lift her from the floor and carry her to bed. *************The alarm wakes me. I open my eyes to an em
