Dalia's p.o.v

"So, you're Jaden's new wife?" She looks intrigued as she studies me. "Yes, and you are?"

"I'm Brandy, his sister."

Of all the research I have done, I had no idea he had a sister. Not even once was she mentioned by Delilah.

"It is very nice to meet you," I tell her politely. She gives me a sweet smile. I would have never guessd that these two are related.

She turns back to her brother.

"She is very pretty," he glances over at me, like it is the first time he is seeing me.

  • TILL DEATH DO US PART.    CHAPTER FOURTEEN; ALL FOR A COUPLE OF SILLY SLIPPERS AND STUPID ONESIES.

Dalia's p.o.vIt takes me a while to realize what is happening. I push him away. When I open my eyes, disgust is all I see in his. He lifts his hand and wipes off his lips, like he is trying to wipe my taste off them.I hate that it bothers me. "We should head back. They will start looking for us," he turns the horse and we start riding in the opposite direction. Somehow with him breathing on my neck, and the thought of the disgusted look on his face after the kiss, the wind doesn't feel freeing anymore. He helps me down the horse when we get to the stables. I wait around awkwardly as he returns each horse to its stable. "Can we go home?" I don't feel like entertaining his family. "I'll call the chauffer for you," he answers. My hands are still shaking, even after taking a shower. It is two hours since we last parted, and the near death experience is still fresh in my head. I walk to my kitchen. It is filled with a sweet aroma like always. A different chef, than the one that was

"Yes, she is." I let a small smile escape. His eyes catch it and I stop myself immediately. The chefs bring in the food. I have not eaten anything after Hansel's death. I look at the scrumptious spread in front of me. Everything that had seem so emmergent, goes to the back of my mind. I am only thinking of getting some food inside me.The food is good, really good and I enjoy every bit of it until I am too full to eat anything more. "Don't you ever feed her?" I look up to

  • TILL DEATH DO US PART.    CHAPTER TWELVE; A LUNCH INVITATION.

My head is killing me. I roll around in bed, before the realization hits me. I simply do not think I can exist in a world where he doesn't. I drag my feet to my living room. Today even the number of people wandering around don't faze me. I flop myself in front of the huge screen I haven't watched even once before.I am not sure what is on and whether it is interesting. "Miss what would you like to have for breakfast?" I look up at the face staring impatiently down at me. "What did you say?" I shake my head. "I asked what you would like to have for breakfast?" She repeats her question. "Just coffee," my answer seem to have put her in a slightly better mood. Within less than ten minutes she comes back carrying a cup of black coffee. I take it. I have no strength to smile at her. I wonder what has ruined her morning. "Have you seen the young lady? She is not in her room," Jaden's voice is clear. I don't hear an answer, but he comes into the living room.Relief sets in his eyes whe

  • TILL DEATH DO US PART.    CHAPTER ELEVEN; WATCHING OVER HER.

Dalia's p.o.vI try getting off from the pavement, but my body is too weak. All over sudden a chill takes over me and I start shivering. Jaden takes a step towards me, and I cringe. He did this, I am sure he did. But how could he?"Get up," he is extending his hand to me, but my eyes are fixed on the cold body of the only man I have ever loved. He is dead. I am alone. I am really alone now. "Dalia get up," he commands me. He is angry, but I don't care. He leans over me, when I don't move. He lifts me from the ground."Put me down," I hit his chest as he starts walking away. Walking away from my Hansel. "PUT ME DOWN!" He increases his pace. I am looking behind me as the ambulance arrives. The paramedics surround him, and the truth sets in. I will never see him again. I stop hitting him, and allow my husband to peacefully carry me away. I clench collar of his shirt tightly and hold back the tears that threaten to escape. He holds me on his lap on the drive home, and I don't figh

  • TILL DEATH DO US PART.    CHAPTER TEN; GOODBYE MY LOVE.

I was too brazen before, that I know. As I try to lull myself to sleep, his face keeps coming back to me.He had looked at me like he wanted me dead and I can't blame him.I signed the contract. I knew the terms going in.I toss and turn, until finally I drift off to sleep dreading tomorrow. I bury my face in the pillow when the sun rays get too bright.I take a while to come to. When I finally open my eyes, I find him sitting at the edge of the bed.I quickly sit up. "Why can't I go into your room while you keep coming into mine?" I ask him, drowsily. He looks at me and his eyes linger on my cleavage for a while. I pull the covers up. He smirks before raising his eyes to mine. "You should have added that clause before signing," he says dismissively."Can I add it now?" I am not sure waking up with him by my side is something I can get used to."Too late," he answers with humor in his eyes.I would like to continue this conversation, but some other time."Anyway, what are you doing h

I would like to say that we are friends, but she is just someone I met by chance. She happens to be good at hacking even the most secure and complex networks. That is what I needed, and she figured out my intentions soon after.I make another turn and after confirming that I won’t be able to lose the tail, I stop in front of the massage parlor.“There she is,” one of the women sitting at the reception says as soon as I get in. “Jaden’s new piece?” another asks shamelessly. They are clearly not worried if I overhear. “You can clearly tell someone who is born high class and someone who sleeps her way to the top.
