Seraphina Pov

The night reeked of death, I could taste my fear on my tongue as I hurriedly locked up the store.

Turning to leave I came face to face with a Rogues. His sinister growl filled the eerie night causing me to take a step backwards.

Claws, razor sharp filled his mouth, dripping saliva and his eyes were an endless puddle of black.

“Warlocks don’t belong in this town. You smell.” He spat out with disgust.

Before he could attack me, I recited a fight spell “Itrin Barz Zog.”

The Rogues was slammed on the wall and remained there as I increased the speed of my leg.

However, angry growls erupted in the night as other Rogues made themselves known.

There was one of them that stood out. I recognized him on sight.

Baron Sinclair Jones. He was a regular at the store, always polite. It never crossed my mind that he could be a Rogues.

Baron’s eyes looked different, it had taken on a different color, blazing orange.
