Anti-heartbreak Drinks

"Haha, old spinster," Selena laughed bitterly, remembering Vanesha's insult.

"It's better to be an old spinster than a slut, isn't it?" She continued to grumble to herself in front of a bartender wiping glasses.

Selena chose to go to a club in downtown Portland after discovering that her boyfriend had cheated on her and had sex in front of her eyes. Her mind got so messed up, especially considering how much that scumbag enjoyed Vanesha's body that it destroyed Selena's heart

She's always tried to be an ideal partner to Daniel in the two years they've been together, but maybe it wasn't enough. Selena felt sad remembering how she always refused if he asked her to have sex, but Daniel never seemed to mind and always respected her principle of wanting to have sex after married.

Two years of kissing and hugging while holding back passion seemed easy for Selena, but if Daniel was such a jerk, what else could she do? Or maybe Daniel had just run out of patience with her. Selena suddenly blamed herself; if she had been willing to have sex and give in her body, Daniel wouldn't have cheated on her.

"Tough day ... I got fired, and Daniel cheated on me," she mumbled as she took her drink, the bitter taste instantly settling in her throat.

Selena's first time at a club and drunk; she usually avoided them because they made she uncomfortable, but now she understood that this kind of place was a lot of fun, much better than crying in a room and not changing anything.

"Hey," Selena called the bartender. "May I please have another glass? But I want the strongest drink possible to make me forget everything that happened today."

"Of course, miss," the bartender replied, smiling.

Selena returned the handsome young bartender's smile. When he turned around,  Selena looking at his body from behind, which unfortunately resembled Daniel's. Selena instantly recalled her lover's body, who enjoyed Vanesha's game on top of his.

Selena cried uncontrollably. Was her sacrifice and affection insufficient for Daniel after all this time?

"Here," the bartender said a few moments later, handing her a glass of a really nice-looking cocktail.

"What's this?" Selena was surprised to see a blue drink with fruit on the glass. "I ordered a strong alcoholic, not a soda," she protested.

"That's the specialty drink here. It looks pretty but tastes so strong," the bartender kindly said.

Selena grinned in disbelief; she knew that a powerful alcoholic drink wouldn't be presented like a blue soda on the beach.

She drank it hesitantly, but as it entered her body, she began to experience unexpected sensations. The flavor of the liquid burned her insides and left her head stinging.

"Wow!" Selena was amazed, which made the bartender smile. "This is amazing; what is the name of this drink?"

"Anti-heartbreak drink," he said while making Selena laugh.

"Haha, why is it called that?"

"I told you it was a specialty drink here, Miss," the bartender replied with a wink before returning to cleaning the glasses as another customer placed an order.

"Um... wait, can I order three or four more? I'll pay whatever it takes because I feel like this drink will make me forget about that jerk," Selena pleaded.

"Of course, Miss, just a moment. I'll make you some more anti-heartbreak drinks after this."

Selena was happy that this drink had improved her mood. Although she still chuckled inwardly at her unusual nickname, but she wanted to continue drinking it until she was drunk because she was tired of being a good girl.

"Maybe one night of being a bad girl is okay," she said.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the club, a black luxury car stopped in front of the VVIP lobby entry, followed by other cars.

A tall man in a black suit with slightly long hair pulled back exited his luxurious sports car. The man had a strong figure created by the well-fitted suit, a firm jaw, thick brows, and a piercing gaze that would make anybody assume he was a stunning and powerful mobster, just like in the movies.

The man stood standing up, his gaze fixed on the club where he used to play fun games. A few moments later, one of the lanky bodyguards approached him and said, "Sir, your order is about to arrive."

The man didn't respond, instead raising his left hand and looking down at his wrist, where a new Rolex watch was wound. He saw that it was fifteen minutes past eight o'clock.

"Have you made sure this order will not disappoint you again, Bastian?" the man said of his bodyguard. The masculine voice was so authoritative that everyone who heard it could tell he was in authority.

"I will make sure not to disappoint you again, sir," Bastian promised.

"Tsk, the last one didn't satisfy me. Is that the greatest job an assistant can do?" He was half-insinuating. "Remember, Bastian, if it's not good again today, it's certain that your salary will only be a quarter."

Bastian bowed weakly, contemplating his situation and the consequences of failing to fulfill his master's wishes again. The dashing man then entered the club, followed by Bastian and two other bodyguards, while the rest remained outside.

They walked from the west side of the club through the center, where many ordinary people were drinking and talking. For a moment, the man looked towards the bar and saw a woman with several empty glasses in front of her, but suddenly his steps stopped and made him turn away.

"Welcome, Mr. Cedric Mckinley," greeted the club manager. "I apologize in advance, but the room you're used to is in trouble."

The dashing man cast a glare in Bastian's direction. Bastian immediately panicked; after all, his master was Cedric Mckinley, a world-renowned businessman and a powerful man who did not like it when things did not go according to the original agreement.

"Why did you just tell me?" Bastian inquired of the club's manager.

"I'm sorry, sir, a new employee accidentally messed up, but don't worry, I've prepared a replacement room that's much better than before," the manager stated fearfully. He was conscious that if Mr. Cedric became angry, it's not possible the club will be destroy by him.

Cedric let out a sigh.

"You're lucky; I wouldn't to waste my time on trivial matters. So, show me the room right now," Cedric begged.

Bastian and the Club Manager could relax now; they were fortunate that the master's heart had steadied a little today. Otherwise, horrible things would have undoubtedly occurred.

Cedric and the others followed the club manager to the elevator close to the corridor. They were on the way to the new VVIP room on the second floor, and the elevator took them straight there.

Meanwhile, Selena finished the last glass she had drunk. Her head began to feel heavy, and her stomach started feeling bad.

"I think my stomach is too full," she said. "Hey, where's the toilet?"

"There is a toilet down the hall over there, but..." Selena had already gotten up and moved quickly in the direction indicated before the bartender finished speaking.

She couldn't help but peeing immediately, and her stomach was uncomfortable, like if she wanted to vomit everything she put in. Selena's steps were already staggering, and she was trying to stay sober from the effects of the alcohol she had drunk. At least she did not humiliate herself by wetting or vomiting in front of the bar.

Selena walked quickly, but this hallway felt so far away. Her head was already dizzy, as were her steps, which were becoming heavy due to her sick stomach.

"Oh my god, I need to go to the toilet," she said. The good news is the toilet door was to her right. "Finally!"

Selena, who was heavily sober, had no idea the toilet door was open. Of course, she entered the elevator that brought her straight to the top without realizing it. She didn't want to think about the oddity of the toilet door because she just wanted to go there and vomit everything in her stomach.

"Hurry up, I can't stand it," Selena grumbled.
