I'm still contemplating on what Mr. Fredrick told me, like how will a girl who is barely 23 be pregnant, I'm still surprised, I said yes when he asked me if I'm still interested in marrying Melanie, I'm really in a mess now.

If she has a lover then why did she agree to this marriage? I think there really something about her.

" Alan find me all the information related to Melanie including her family history" I texted to my assistant.

" Okay sir " he replied.

I took my bath and laid on my bed reviewing some work till I didn't know when I dozed off in dizziness.

The sun light and wind blowing reflected on my curtains waking me up from my deep sleep. I stretched my hand to my phone it was already 7 am and luckily I wasn't late for work, I kept my laptop which laid close to me all night on the night stand closer to my bed, I stood up did a little stretches and walked out lazily to the bathroom.

I just finished a meeting with my staff workers, I'm walking back to my office with my secretary.

" Is there any other meeting today?" I asked my secretary.

" Yes sir" she replied.

" Which ?" I asked again

" Meeting with share holders about finances"

" What time?"

" 2 pm"

" Reschedule it for 12 pm, I've to leave for JK Group by that time"

" Okay sir "

" Any other thing"

" Yes sir, this is the document from AG Group about proposal " she said handing my the file.

" Leave it on the table " I said

" Yes sir " she said placed the documents and left.

AG Group, isn't that Melanie's dad Group how come he didn't mention about any proposal yesterday. I heard a knock on my door while in thought.

" Come in" I said ushering the person in .

" Chairman, this is a document containing all available information about Melanie including her family" Alan said

" Pass it to me" I said agitated to know about it's content , he gave me the documents .

" I will take my leave sir" he said about to leave, nodded in response.

She had no lover then how the fuck did she get pregnant? could it be that she is a slut, nope if so I would have seen such here.

What?! her dad and mom divorced

* Mr. Fredrick and two daughters got kicked out by his wife * I read the headline of that year, wasn't Melanie and her dad in their family home .

* Mrs Dawson takes over AG Group as the new CFO * I read more as my eyes widened in surprises, what the hidden secret of these family that can't be revealed, Mrs Dawson is Melanie's mom, she left her husband and children for a bastard.

WTF all these happened just 14 years ago, but the documents didn't state that they reconciled.

Her daughter whom no one knows who the actual father is was captured driving recklessly a detained in the rehabilitation center and was later billed out by her mom.

* Conflict at AG Group as Mr. Dawson broke out a fight with the shareholders...* these are so cruel, what a family, this woman left her family for a silly man a drunkard, sounds so funny.

"Let's have dinner together" I texted Melanie

" I don't think I've time but I'd consider it " she replied shortly after.

" Let me know when you decide" I texted in again.

" Okay " she texted I'm return, I placed my phone on the table and focused on the documents before me, for the past two days we have partially settled the trouble in J&J, I feel a little relieved at last.

Few hours later I saw her message

"Not less than an hour" like is she always this straight and tight, what ever at least she agreed , I texted her in return.

" My driver would pick you up"

" No need I'll come my self just send me the location" I pretended I didn't see that, instead I'll go pick her up my self.

After few minutes I alight for her house the drive was a few minutes drive. I knocked immediately I arrived a different lady came to open the door.

" Umm you're?"

" Bryan Dills"

" Bryan!" she exclaimed and me a seductive look which only made me irritated.

" Yeah, I'm here for Melanie"

" Oh she is in, I'm her sis" trying to give me a hand shake.

" Sis, she didn't mention you to me" I said ignoring her hand, she pretended brushing her hair off due to embarrassment.

" She shouldn't"

" Oh I see" so she is the flamboyant daughter.

" Let me lead you"

" No just describe the room and I'll find my way"

" Okay the last room by the left" she said again demonstrating.

" Thanks" I walked pass her finding my way to her room, in front of there I knocked twice, she opened the door.

" Umm I thought we agreed that you would send me the address?" she said upon seeing me.

" You're not dressed yet? "

" You didn't send the address so I thought it was called off" she is just so hard to understand.

" Well take this wear it"

" I... I ...." she stuttered

" Just go in " I interrupted and slightly pushed her in, barging the door closed.

" Make your orders" I said to her, she stared at me for a while to be sincere she us really pretty despite the fact that she only puts on a light make up she still looks so beautiful.

" Okay" she unknownly distracted my stares and thought.

" Give me the exact thing she ordered" I said to the waitress after looking into her orders, she ordered a simple dinner which I didn't want to oblige.

" Bryan can we have dinner together?" I saw a text message from Mariel.

" Busy " I replied

" Oh okay"

" You look pretty today" I finally said to her when we started the meal.

" Thanks" she said coldly still cutting her steak with the table knife.

" Are always this straight"

" What do you mean!?"

" I've never seen you smile" I said to her.

" There is nothing to smile for"

" At least you should seem free" I said in concern

" Oh okay "

" Bryan why are you here ? " I heard Mariel say.

" How is that your business? " I asked her, she splashed water on me.

" What's your problem? " Melanie in return splashed water on her.

" Hey young lady I don't care what your relationship is with him but i don't think you should come to people's table creating troubles" Melanie said to her in boldness

" How dare you?!" she exclaimed.

" Bryan let's leave this lady" she held my hand heading out of the restaurant.

" Sorry she ruined our dinner" I said to her when she finally let go of my hand.

" It's okay I just think you need yo explain our relationship to her do she won't get the wrong idea of us" she said calmly.

" There is nothing to explain after all you would be my wife soon" I said and she liked so stunned by my comment.

" She is just a mess I wish I could clear up" I continued

" What do you mean ?" she asked me, I actually wished I could tell her but I can't .

" Nothing, let me drive you home, it's late"

" Oh"

I ended up not going to JK Group today ughhhh!
