My heart was still pounding faster than anything as I walked into my bedroom. I still couldn't believe Aldric didn't want to talk to me.

“May I come in?" I heard Jenny ask as she knocked on my door.

“Just a moment," I responded, putting on my slippers to unlock it.

She pushed the door in and it opened. I looked at the time on my watch and wondered how she had just come back in the first forty minutes of being at Aldric's place.
