TRUTH OR DARE: WHEN A QUEEN TAKES HER CROWN のすべてのチャプター: チャプター 1 - チャプター 10

Scarlett I was speechless at that moment. Daniel has never used such words on me. Before, I couldn't even say anything as he pushed me aside and then fell on our plus-size bed. I looked at him still trying to understand what had just happened. “Bitch!" the word kept repeating in my head. No that couldn't have been Daniel. Maybe it's the alcohol, I tried to reason, but even when he was drunk, he would be so romantic towards me. Something just wasn't right. I removed his shoes and then grabbed my phone to head downstairs. There I found his phone and PC lying on the couch. Maybe Mrs. Kael had placed them there since Daniel just seemed too tired to carry anything. “Ms. Brown, would you like something?" our maid asked. “No, I'm OK. Did someone bring Daniel home?" I asked because the way he looked just seemed too impossible to get here by himself. "No, a young man brought him to the door,” the maid replied. A young man? I tried to ask hoping she would give me a description, but co

Scarlett My eyes opened and tears fell from them before I could even hold them back. I could feel my chest tighten and my hands folded into a fist. I didn't even know how I ended up in the hospital. I didn't even care to look to see if there was someone around me or not. “Doctor, she's awake," I heard someone say before Chris Mandoza's footsteps started echoing, and before I knew it, he was in front of me. “Ms. Brown thank goodness you're fine," he said before asking the nurse to jot something for him from the heart monitor. I could hear what he was saying but my mind was far away. Deep in my thoughts where betrayal was still looking at me like some fool. I couldn't even get myself to say a word but something else made me look at the doctor. My baby. I wasn't feeling it. What the hell happened to my baby? My heart started pounding fast and I was about to sit straight when the doctor told me that it was impossible at that moment. I held his hand and asked if my child was OK but

Scarlett A few days later I sat on the chair as Zoe was busy fixing my ponytail. She kept making up stories just to keep me entertained but I knew the truth. I knew why she was trying so hard to distract me. This was it, the day I was supposed to be walking down the aisle but I'm here getting discharged instead. I thought I would be having my husband and sharing the news about the pregnancy on this day, but I've lost both. “There you are, look at you," Zoe said, making me look at myself in the mirror. My hair looked neatly tied up yet the pale face I couldn't hide even if I wanted to. The pain was still inside scratching every part of me that wanted to escape reality. I was about to head to the door when Zoe asked me to wait. “I know this day would have changed everything for you, but just know that you're loved and appreciated, OK," she said, hugging me. "Thank you,” I faked a smile and we made our way out of that room. I looked back at its closed door and wondered how I even

Scarlett “Wow, this is unbelievable, Scarlett. Just look at all these benefits, it's like you're about to become a billionaire in just one day," Zoe said, going through the contract. Since she's a lawyer I had her go over it when I finished just to make sure I wasn't getting excited over my next worst nightmare. “Should I sign?" I asked nervously looking at her. “Girl, you would regret not signing this. Get over here," she said before I took a seat next to her and began to sign the contract. It took us about 30 minutes to finish signing. I then went to take a shower before coming back to help Zoe prepare dinner. “I don't think you should be here, Scarlett. You've just signed a million-dollar contract, girl. I need you to be in the living room waiting for me to come serve you," Zoe joked before we both began to laugh. “You play too much. I still would love to be in the kitchen. We haven't prepared a meal together in years, come on now," I responded softly, pinching her before I

Daniel I made my way into the lounge where the investors were waiting and found my PA anxiously smiling. I could already tell something wasn't right just by looking at her face. Everyone stood up to welcome me and then took their seats. I looked around the place and it just seemed average. This was nothing like anything Scarlett used to arrange. I looked at my PA and then back at the person who was busy presenting. Everyone finished what they were saying before I stood up and was about to start when a cockroach fell out of my papers. “Oh my goodness, what was that?" everyone in the lounge said before I nervously smiled just to bury the shame, but it didn't work because more was coming. My PA quickly rushed to get it out of sight before I started. I began to read what was written in my speech, but the typing errors just made me stutter in some parts. It was as if it were written by someone who wasn't being paid enough. Time and again, the investors kept clearing their throats wh
