An offer

Chapter three

Aria's pov

"What have you done to my car?"

I shuddered in fear as my eyes fell on him. He was tall and muscular, with piercing blue eyes and a furrowed brow.

His hair was jet black and his jaw was clenched tightly, looking like he could crush me with his bare hands.

I knew at that very moment that I was in trouble. He was from the neighboring pack, and we were rivals.

My heart pounded in my chest as different thoughts began running through my mind on what to do.

"Should I apologize and offer to pay for the damages?" I thought when my eyes suddenly fell on the car.

"I'm so sorry," I said, my voice trembling. "I didn't see your car."

"You didn't see my car?" he said, his voice rising. "How could you miss a car like this?"

"I wasn't paying attention," I said, feeling guilty. "I'll pay for the damages."

"You damn right will," he said, crossing his arms.

"This is a Bugatti Centodieci. Do you have any idea how much it's worth?"

I shook my head, feeling even worse than before.

"It's worth over 9 million dollars," he said, his voice cold. "And you just hit it with your car."

"I'm sorry," I said again, feeling like a complete idiot.

"You should be," he said, shaking his head. "You're lucky I didn't call the cops on you."

"I'll pay for the damages," I said, trying to make things right.

"You better, so when will that be?" he asked, his voice softening slightly.

"This car means everything to me."

"What the hell did you say? How would you pay for it." My wolf, Eva asked.

"Do something about this, you're in trouble right now." She whispered.

"I've told you countlessly, Ethan was up to no good, but did you listen?"

"Look Eva, this isn't the time to play the blame game."

"Should I try to explain that it was an accident? Or should I just run away and hope he doesn't catch me?"

But before I could make a decision, he stepped closer to me, his eyes locked on mine. I could feel his breath on my face as he spoke again.

"Answer me," he growled this time.

I swallowed hard, trying to find the words to respond. "I- I'm sorry," I stammered, apologizing again.

"But I don't have that amount of money right now," I begged.

"I didn't mean to hit your car. It was an accident."

"An accident?" he repeated, his voice rising. "Do you have any idea who I am?"

I shook my head, feeling more scared than ever.

"Does it matter who I am, just look for a way to fix this. I need to leave now "

"Come on girl, don't be a fool. Seduce him, you're beautiful, you have the body, do it." Eva said as I straightened up.

Yes, I was in trouble and didn't have the money to pay for the damages to the car so I had to do just that, try my luck.

He stared at me with cold eyes as I took a deep breath and decided to try something risky.

"You are so beautiful," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.

"What?" Eva asked with a chuckle.

"Your height and your good looks? It makes you special."

He raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised by my sudden change in tone.

"What are you doing?" he asked, his voice sharp.

"I'm just...trying to make things right," I said, feeling my cheeks flush with embarrassment.

"I know I can't pay for the damages, but maybe there's something else I can do?" I said walking towards him.

"And what would that be?" He asked, narrowing his eyes, clearly suspicious.

I took a step closer to him, feeling my heart pounding in my chest.

"Maybe...we could...spend some time together?" I said, my voice barely audible.

He looked at me for a long moment, his eyes searching mine. Finally, he spoke.

"Are you trying to seduce me?" he asked with a low and dangerous voice.

I felt a shiver run down my spine as I met his gaze.

"I...I don't know," I stammered. "I just...I don't know what else to do."

He stared at me for a moment longer, then let out a low laugh.

"You think that's going to work?"

I felt my face grow hot with shame as he spoke. What was I thinking? I couldn't just use my body to get out of trouble. But something in his eyes made me keep going.

"Please," I said, my voice almost pleading. "I'll do anything. I just can't afford to pay for the damages."

He looked at me for a long moment, then let out a sigh.

"I promise, I'll be your maid, I'll work till I can pay you, but please don't report this incident to my Alpha," I begged, close to tears. I didn't want a situation where I'll be needing Ethan's help again, and not after embarrassing him.

"What pack are you from? Come to think of it, I haven't seen you before." He asked, making me roll my eyes.

"You're in my pack. This is Crescent Water." I said with an air of pride, forgetting I was begging earlier.

"So? What are you doing in my pack?" He asked, confusing me as I let out a small laugh.

"I ought to be asking you that."

"How?"

"This is the Crescent water pack," I said as he gave me an "Are you okay" look.

"I can see, that's why you hit my car earlier," He said as I looked around, the environment dawning on me.

"What!" I half yelled.

"No, what am I doing here? How did I get here?" I couldn't believe it, I had unknowingly left the pack, but that wasn't my issue now as I resorted to pleading with him.

"Fine," he said, his voice resigned.

"You'll work for it. I have a meeting to attend and I have to be with my mate, but I'm yet to find one, so you might want to substitute for her till I find her or you pay for the damages." He said as I gasped in horror.

"What's the duration?" I asked.

"Till I find her, even if it takes 10 years."

He was going to introduce me as his mate for 10 years? That was too risky on my part, what if I find my mate then? How would he feel?

"I'm running late, so is this a deal?" He asked stretching his hands for a shake.

"Take it, girl. We aren't sure if we're ever going to find a mate, and by the way, I'm not ready to be tied to one man." My wolf urged.

"Deal," I whispered, taking his hands.
