"Answer me, Mira, who were you speaking to?" His voice hit me once again, and I stammered out nothing in particular. I try to let out a word, but obviously I can't.

"I am sure I heard you speaking with someone. Even if I didn't hear your conversation very well, I can swear you are speaking with someone," he urges further.

"I am speaking to myself, Arnold; when I am angry or frustrated, I end up speaking to myself." I defend myself to my own surprise; I was not expecting to come up with something that quick.

"Really?" he asked with a raised brow.

"Of course, I am sure," I blurted.

"I want you to return to the room, Mira; I just want you around the room. I don't appreciate it when you stay here, and what about my shoes? Have you taken them from the maid?" he grunt.

"No. I will do that right away." I walk away to the maid's quarters.
