Chapter 69

Minutes after an all too silent walk, I parked in the condo garage and stepped out of the car, helping a fumbling Helena do the same. I leaned her warm body on mine and we walked toward the elevator, all in the most extreme absence of sound. 

We entered the apartment and she looked around, analyzing the place with a funny face. 

"This place is so big I'm surprised you don't need a visa to get into it. "She commented simply, drawing a laugh from me. "Do you use GPS to get around here?"

"No, Helena," I said, still laughing. "I'll get you a glass of water. "I warned, leaving her sitting on the couch, hearing a "be careful you don't get lost" in response.

 I handed her the glass and, standing in front of the girl, studied her figure attentively. Noticing that I was being watched, she shifted uncomfortably, waking me from my reverie. 

"Thank you. "I said. I picked up the glass object and set it down on some small table.&nbs
