CHAPTER 29

3 DAYS LATER

Nancy kept staring at Lloyd on the hospital bed where he laid. He had a bandage across his open chest and a blanket covered his legs, up to his stomach. She noticed the number of scars on his arms, similar to the one on the side of his head.

He looked even more handsome as he slept peacefully in his coma. The doctors said he would be fine. The bullet missed any vital organs but he lost a lot of blood and he was lucky he got there in time.

She was so lost in thought that she didn’t notice when he opened his eyes until he took off the oxygen mask he had on.

Nancy’s eyes widened before she rushed to hug him on the bed where he laid before a teardrop fell from her eye.

Lloyd winced from the pain causing her to pull away.

“I’m sorry,” She said, wiping her eyes.

Lloyd gave her a weak smile. “I’ve told you, when you want to apologize, do it with a kiss,” His voice was low which made it all the more seductive.
