CHAPTER-17

"Once there was one sadhu (saint). He went to the river to bath. There, He noticed a scorpion struggling in the water. The Scorpion can't swim, so Sadhu knew that if he didn't save the scorpion, it would drown.."

"Ohh...then?" Anna asked curiously.

"So carefully picking up the scorpion, he rescued it from drowning and was about to set it down gently on the land when the scorpion stung his finger." 

Anna gasped, "really...but why? He saved him." 

I nodded, "In pain, the sadhu instinctively flung his hand and the scorpion went flying back into the river. But as soon as he regained his composure from the sting, he again lifted the scorpion from the water.

Again before he could set the scorpion safely on the land, that creature stung him. This thing went on for a few minutes."

Anna looked at my face carefully.

"Then what happened?" 

"A hunter was watching that scene for some time and finally asked him, 'why don't you give up
