The sheer disgust dripping off of Madison's tone is enough to shatter my new found confidence into shards. A cold sheen layers her dark blue eyes, making them appear even more cunning and disapproving than ever before. "Alyssa honey, come here." I hear my mom's command. Her voice seems to be coming from the living room. "I'll be right there." I say. "I'm just putting everything I used back in place."
