Chapter 22
"Angel?"
The voice sounded faint and soft, waking Angel from the surrounding darkness. She opened her eyes slowly, feeling dazzled by the white light of the light that directly hit her eyes.
"Sweet? Angel? Are you awake, dear?"
It was her mother's voice. Her mother was sitting on the edge of the bed, her pale face looked so worried. Angel was confused, she looked around the room.
Is she in the hospital?
Angel tried to move, but a sharp pain was immediately felt in her leg.
"Don't move yet, dear. You sprained your leg," her mother muttered softly, pushing Angel back down.
Angel frowned, trying to relieve the painful pain, then she remembered. That blood … blood from Gamma's hand!
"Gamma!" This time Angel immediately sat down in a panic, ignoring the pain in her leg which was getting worse.
