“My lord,” Josef called after Clavier had left the castle.

Stefano turned his attention to his housekeeper and nodded in acknowledgement. The expression that Josef had was enough to confirm everything. His council had gathered without giving him a notice. That was something Stefano disliked.

“Watch over her for me,” Stefano said to Josef before leaving.

“Yes, my lord.”

Stefano vanished in thin air and a moment later, he arrived in the Council’s building. Everyone was shocked by his sudden appearance. Usually, someone would inform everyone of his arrival. This time, he didn’t have the time for formal courtesy. He walked to the Great Hall.
