I went to the castle with Lucas, but I didn't actually go inside; the gates were enormous, and there was a huge garden as well as a massive horse stable and a huge garage for cars. Strangely, Lucas made every effort not to take me straight to the garage when we were leaving the restaurant. Or at least that's what I thought at the time.

On the other hand, he led me straight to the stable where the horses were kept.

"Follow me," huffed Lucas, looking at me with an annoyed expression.

My curiosity led me to ask and wonder, "to where? You were tasked by the alpha with showing me to the lodgings where I will be residing."

Lucas laughed at me while making fun of me and asked, "place? You actually believe that you are going to remain in a positive environment, don't you?"

I narrowed my eyes, perplexed, but seriously, his words made my heart pound hard in my chest; I hoped for the best, and responded with "yes, sort of."

However, Lucas pointed to me with the back of his head and said,
