Chapter 30
Rebecca woke up the next morning in Vincent bed with his arms strongly secured around her waist. She smiled thinking about the night before. It had been amazing and she didn’t have even a little regret. She knew they were just killing time and she was okay with that.
She felt a small pang of hungry and decided to get up and make breakfast. She tried to wiggle out of Vincent’s hold but it only tightened the more she moved. “Stay,” Vincent said sleep still thick in his voice. Rebecca couldn’t help but smile she liked that the big bad mafia man was a cuddler.
“I’m hungry, Vince,” she said rolling over to face him.
“Me too,” he winked at her and laughed when she blushed from him innuendo. He leaned in and kissed her lips before moving to her neck and provoking her into a repeat of the events from the night before.

Pulling up to the warehouse that had been agreed upon, Vincent sighed. He didn’t have a lot of faith in this meeting turning out how anyone on his side wanted it to. A week went by and Vincent had the surgery and was well on his way to healing. Him and Rebecca had also continued with their deal. Rebecca spent every night in Vincent’s bed. She loved that he was a cuddlier and enjoyed every moment realizing that one day it would be over.Vincent woke up and rolled over to watch Rebecca sleep. She was definitely beautiful. Vincent woke up the next day with Rebecca curled up in his arms with her face buried in his chest. He sighed and ran his finger through her hair. He would be content to just spend the day like this with her but he knew he had to get up. Chapter 34It’s been a week since Vincent dropped Rebecca off at the safehouse. That’s also the amount of time since she had seen him. She didn’t understand what was going on. Rebecca asked him for information every time but, Tobin had told her that Vincent had told him to not tell her anything so that she was completely protected in all ways. This just made Rebecca mad. “Rebecca! Open the door,” Vincent shouted frantic to make sure that she was okay. The door swung open and he took in her terrified face. He quickly pulled her into his arms. “Are you hurt?” he asked as she buried her face in his chest. He smoothed her hair down before taking her head in his hands and looking down to make sure she was alright.“I’m okay. What was that?” She asked. When Rebecca woke up the next day it was hard to open her eyes. She had a pounding headache and the bright light that shown in her eyes every time she opened them didn’t help at all. The next morning Rebecca woke up to see Vincent sleeping in the chair next to her bed like her had been the day before. She smiled as she took in how peaceful he looked. She had watched him sleep a couple times before and each time she was extremely shocked how even though his life was probably more stressful than anyone else’s, he looked like nothing bothered him when he was sleeping.She decided to let Vincent sleep and get ready since she was going to be discharged today. She went into the bathroom and took a shower she felt like she hadn’t showered in a year even though she knew that it had only been a day.
