Saving my Mate

CALEB’S POV

I was standing at the front of the car, beside me was Ethan, he had also shifted, Tyler is one of the strongest wolf after mine in our pack that was the sole reason for appointing him as my beta. We both were watching the group of rogues intently, their every steps were in our sight the only reason we had not jumped on them was because Noah was driving the car to the back of the tree where he can hide it very well, we do not want them to learn about Lilith’s presence. Once Noah will give a go ahead to me I will kill all of them. No mercy in my dictionary for these rogues who are not loyal to any one and are threat for us.

The opponent's black wolf growled looking at us, apparently he was leading this group and they were definitely heading towards any pack to attack and we have ruined their mission by interruption.

‘Alpha! You are set to go’ as Noah’s voice heard to me through the link, I turned my head to Tyler and nodded giving him permission to begin the attack. We both growled together signaling them of our intention.

My first target was the black wolf who was their leader, because he was in front of all of them and I am afraid that he might have seen Lilith in the car, he could be threat for my mate so he needs to die first, rest will be easy to deal. The fight between us carried for don’t know how long but Kaden and Tyler were able to kill almost of them, few were injured but if they will not get any treatment within an hour or so, they will be lying dead like their fellow wolves.

Kaden was sniffing to find if any rogue is left or hiding behind the trees but there was none and the last remained wolf’s neck was between the mouth of the Tyler, it will be dead in few seconds I know that.

‘We can shift back now Kaden’ I suggested to him, but he doesn’t look convinced, as if there was still threat lying over us.

‘Alpha! You need to come here fast’ Noah’s panic voice echoed in my head, Kaden was quick, the only thought came in our mind was Lilith.

‘Mate is in danger’ Kaden rushed towards the trees where Noah had hide the car, it took us a moment to find them as he had taken little deep in to the forest.

‘Why the hell he had gone so deep’ Kaden growled, he was worried for his mate.

‘I thought, this way they will not be able to smell us’ Noah’s faint voice received, as I have kept the link open for now he was able to hear Kaden.

He was panting by which I conclude that he had also shifted and was trying to protect his Luna, but it also did not help in making Kaden relax.

‘If anything happens to my mate, they are dead Caleb’ he warns me, and jumped on the wolf not even taking a moment to analyze the situation. They were three wolves, which I suppose had followed them the moment we exited the car, that bastard had already commanded them to follow the car, damn it.

It took us few minutes to clean the scene, Tyler had also joined us in between. We all were injured, not badly but had many cuts on our body, few were deep. I know they will be healed. We shifted back in to our human form and Noah was quick to open the trunk and fetch out our clothes that are always kept in them in case of emergencies like now.

‘You guys think that you can drive?’ I asked seeing their body covered in blood.

‘Would you mind taking a turn? Until we get healed?’ Ethan suggested and I nodded as my strength is more than them and I can take on from here for the next few hours.

‘Why the hell our pack is so far from the greenwood’ I groaned in pain, two hours has passed and we had just crossed half of the distance, if it wasn’t for the rogues we might be near to our pack by now.

‘Let me drive and you can rest’ Ethan was seated at the passenger seat we did not touch Lilith as none of us wanted to disturb her was the first reason, the other was we had not clean the blood from our body and all of us were afraid of her reaction. It would be best if she wakes up when we reach to the pack.

I exchange the seat and now it was Ethan driving, but we all jolted up when we heard the soft and sweet voice of my mate.

‘We haven’t reached yet?’ she was talking to Noah. I eyed the broad smile that made its way on his lips.

‘The jerk is happy to talk with his Luna’ I muttered quietly, not happy to watch my closest persons getting along with her.

‘We are just about to reach Luna’ I saw her blushing through the side mirror of the car, she liked the title.

‘Luna are you hungry?’ we have traveled the whole night, and it was now getting brighter as the sun was ready to rise, I was glad that we are just few kilometers away from our pack. Noah had given her some snacks and now she is munching on them. The ride was quiet none of us was speaking, as for us boys, we were hell tired by the yesterday’s hectic journey and fighting with rogues has just exhausted us more. For my mate she looks an introvert person to me.

‘Tell Noah to ask from her about herself’ while I was surely glaring the roads for being so long, Kaden chirped in making me to roll my eyes. He was already fond of her.

‘Didn’t you said that her wolf had tell you everything already about her’ I remembered how he was yelling at me acting like a possessive lover.

‘Are you talking to Noah or should I give you another warning’ I narrowed my eyes to glance at the reflection of my mate on the mirror, she was busy in eating the snacks, I sighed, the dog in me is gonna make my life hell, I am getting the feeling.

‘Noah, can you please ask her little questions about herself, Kaden is eager to know about his mate’ I mind linked Noah and assigned a task to him, making sure my voice sounds extremely annoyed.

‘Kaden only? Not you Alpha?’ I face palmed, causing both of them to chuckle, whereas Lilith was looking at all of them with astonishment.
