Lucy’s POV
I stood frozen in a spot, the scan result still clutched in my trembling hands, yet my mind was no longer focused on it anymore . Something darker, colder, had taken hold of me at this point. The scarf lay there on the bed like a taunting shadow, its delicate fabric whispering secrets I wasn’t ready to hear. Fear twisted deep within me with just seeing this scarf. I swallowed hard and wiped at the tears threatening to spill over my cheeks. I Just couldn’t let this moment break me down, not after everything I’d endured over the years. I quickly masked my emotions, replacing the turmoil with a brittle smile, just in time to hear his voice behind me. “Lucy,” Andy called softly. I turned, forcing myself to meet his own gaze. He stood in the doorway, tall and composed as always, though there was something different in his stance this time. Something cautious and strange. “Where did you go to, Lucy?” he asked, taking a step closer to my standing position. “I’ve been looking all over for you.” His words were caring enough, but the warmth I once found in his voice now felt hollow and strange. I studied his face carefully as I crafted a small, fake smile to match his own concern. “Just for a little walk,” I lied, my tone calm even as my chest tightened. “ Just needed some fresh air.” He didn’t look convinced with my reply. His gaze lingered on me for a moment before drifting past me to the bed. His expression shifted, his eyes narrowing as they locked on the scarf. “Who owns this?” I asked sharply, walking to the bed and picking it up. My grip tightened on the fabric, and I turned back to him with a stern and serious look. “How did this get into my house, Andy?” His face changed immediately, his usually confident features now clouded with unease. His jaw tightened, and his eyes darted from the scarf to me and back again. “Lucy...” he started, but his voice wavered. My heart sank as soon as his voice tremble. That hesitation told me everything I needed to know. “Andy, don’t lie to me,” I snapped, taking a step toward him. “Who does this belong to?” “It’s…” He stammered, his composure cracking further. “It’s nothing. I mean..” he immediately tried to smile. “It’s nothing you say?” I cut him off, anger rising to the surface now. “Do you think I’m so stupid, Andy? Do you think I don’t know what’s happening under my own roof?” My voice trembled, not with fear, but with the effort it took to keep from shouting. Andy sighed, his shoulders slumping slightly as he ran a hand through his hair. He avoided my eyes, a clear sign of guilt. “I got it for you,” he finally said, his voice quieter and more calmer now. “For me?” I repeated, my tone dripping with disbelief and a chuckle. I held the scarf up like it was evidence in a trial. “Why would you get such thing for me, Andy?” He hesitated again, his lips parting and closing as if searching for the right words to mix up. “When my mother was barren…” he began, his voice faltering as he spoke up. “She used to wear this scarf on her head. She swore it helped her conceive. I thought maybe..” I laughed, the sound bitter and cutting, interrupting him mid-sentence. The absurdity of his excuse was almost too much. “Andy, are you serious right now? You’re trying to tell me this scarf is some kind of fertility charm or child giver?” He flinched at my tone, his jaw tightening again. “Lucy, I know how it sounds, but...” “No,” I snapped, taking another step toward him. My grip on the scarf was so tight now I thought I might tear it apart. “Don’t even try to spin this into some fairy tale as you usual do. Do you think I’m blind or a fool? Do you think I don’t know what’s really going on under my own roof?” Andy finally met my gaze, his eyes filled with something I couldn’t quite place, was it fear? Anxiety? Guilt? “You’re lying to me, ain't you” I said, my voice breaking slightly. “You’ve been lying to me for years, haven’t you?” “Lucy, I...” “Who is she?” I demanded, my voice rising up with anger. The words hung in the air between us, sharp and accusing. “Who does this scarf belong to, Beta Andy?” Andy’s lips pressed into a thin line, his silence speaking louder than any excuse ever could. The weight of his betrayal crushed down on me, stealing the breath from my lungs. I stepped back, needing to put some distance between us. My heart pounded in my chest as my mind raced, replaying every moment, every interaction, every late-night excuse. How long had this been going on under my roof? How many lies had I believed? “I deserve the truth at once,” I said quietly, my voice trembling but also firm. “If you respect me at all, you’ll tell me all I need to hear from you.” Andy opened his mouth to respond, but before he could, a sound came from the hallway outside the room. It was faint but distinct ,the soft creak of a floorboard, followed by the rustle of fabric. I turned sharply, my eyes narrowing as I stared at the doorway. For a moment, there was only silence and building tension. Then, slowly, a figure appeared in the doorway. She stepped into the room as though she owned it, her heels clicking softly against the wooden floor. Her lips curved into a smirk, her eyes gleaming with something that looked like triumph. “Am I interrupting anything?” she asked, her voice smooth and laced with mock innocence. I felt the air leave my lungs as I took in her presence. She was beautiful in a sharp, almost predatory way, with a confidence that made my skin crawl. Her gaze flicked from me to Andy, and her smirk deepened. The scarf slipped from my fingers, landing soundlessly on the floor. “Who is she, Andy?” I asked again, my voice now barely above a whisper. Andy didn’t answer my question this time. He didn’t need to at all. The look on his face, and the smug glint in her eyes told me everything I needed to know. This was really her. This was the woman who had invaded my home, my life, my marriage, my old built love. And she was standing right in front of me, with a smile.Lucy – POVThe night after confronting Ash, I didn't sleep. I couldn't just put things together.I sat by the open window of the little room, watching the moon cut across the sky, silver and distant. My hand rested gently on my stomach, the hope of fulfilling those words I told Andy, playing in my head. This child—my child—wasn't just a hope but my life. It would be a new beginning for me.And beginnings demanded bold steps.Which was why, just before dawn, I sent for Daniel. He arrived without a word, his expression unreadable as always. He stood in the doorway, arms crossed, dark eyes watching me closely."You're up early," he said quietly.I didn’t waste time. “I want to build my own faction. My own force. I’m not asking for your blessing or your go ahead. I’m asking if you're with me.”He blinked, then laughed once—dry, surprised. “That’s not what I was expecting though.”“Good,” I said, standing tall and firm. “I’m done being predictable.”He studied me for a long moment. “You’re
Lucy – POVThe wind tore through the clearing as I stepped into Ash’s territory—uninvited, unannounced, and completely unafraid.I’d had enough.Of the whispers.Of the pity.Of the poison she fed into the pack while smiling like a queen when she wasn't one.Ash thought I’d be broken after Andy discarded me and picked her. She thought I’d curl into nothing, vanish like smoke and dry up like the water poured to the ground. But instead, I’d burned. And now I was walking straight into her den with fire in my chest and nothing left to lose this time. She stood at the center of the training field, surrounded by her loyal pack sisters. Dressed in sleek black leathers, she looked like a warrior—deadly, composed, untouchable, evil. But her eyes flared the moment she saw me.Something within her screamed at my presence.“Well, look who the wind dragged in,” she called out, loud enough for everyone to hear. “I thought you'd disappeared for good, Lucy. Come to beg for your place back?”The girls
Lucy – POV"That's breaking the bro code," Daniel said, his voice low and laced with tension. "And besides… you're not even fully divorced."His words hit me harder than I expected. I clenched my jaw, trying not to show how deep they cut. But I couldn’t stop myself—I looked him straight in the eyes.Daniel.The man who’d stood by me more times than I could count. The one whose love was always visible, even when he tried to pretend otherwise. The one who looked at me like I was more than just my past, more than my title, more than the woman another man had thrown away. And yet here he was—resisting. Fighting not to fall into step with the path I needed him to walk.“Daniel,” I said slowly, deliberately, “I need to get pregnant. As soon as possible.”His body stiffened. For a second, he didn’t move. Then he took a step toward me, the air between us charged, heavy. Our breaths mingled—his warmth brushing against my lips. It would’ve been so easy to close the distance. But he exhaled and
Lucy – POVI couldn’t stop thinking about this pack—the way it looked, the memories it held. Every corner felt like it carried a piece of my past, haunting me.“Where are you going?” Daniel’s voice cut through my thoughts.I met his eyes, my mind spinning.I had already made my decision before today. I was going to see my ex-husband. Maybe to make him pay for everything he did to me.Or maybe…Maybe I’d make him beg for death—and deny him the mercy.“To my old home,” I said quietly. Before I could take another step, his hand wrapped around my wrist, holding me back.“What exactly are you planning to do?” he asked, his voice low but firm.I didn’t hesitate. I knew what I wanted. I wasn’t a child anymore—I could make my own choices. I had laid the groundwork for this moment, for my future.I pulled my wrist from his grasp and looked him in the eye.“You don’t get to control me, Daniel. I know what I’m doing.”I stepped away, brushing past him.“You better,” he said behind me. “Or you’ll
Daniel POVI stood with my arms crossed, eyeing Lucy with a mixture of skepticism and amusement. She was eager, I'd give her that. But eagerness didn't always translate to readiness from my own basic theory."Can we at least start the training already?" Lucy asked, her voice laced with a hint of impatience.I gave her the look. The look that said, "You're not ready." It was a look I'd perfected over the years, one that could convey a thousand words without saying a single one.Lucy immediately understood the look. Her eyes dropped, and her shoulders slumped ever so slightly. Within minutes, her entire character had changed. The confident, Luna I'd once known was replaced by a hesitant, uncertain individual, who was very eager to play her revenge as soon as possible."Daniel..." she trailed off, her voice barely above a whisper.I raised an eyebrow, my expression still same "I know you're once the great Luna of this pack, but that doesn't mean anything in this situation," I said, my to
Lucy’s POVThis was the worst experience of my life since the first day I left the human world.I was alone in this for the meantime.Standing like a fool in a pack where I was once a Luna. But it didn’t feel like that. Not at all.Daniel wasn’t here with me.Ivy wasn’t here.Mira wasn’t here. And I had no one to protect me incase if anything happened to myself.I had to protect myself at all Means. At any cost.A voice from behind came up.Low. Sharp. Strange.“Where are you both going?”I froze on that spot. Both? Then I remembered I was meet this man, Kael.I turned. Slowly. To see the voice behind.A man stood behind me. Tall. Shadowed. Eyes gleaming like he knew a secret.“Who—” My voice cracked. “Who are you?”He tilted his head. “You don’t recognize me?”I swallowed hard, as a lump formed in my throat.No.I didn’t.But something about him felt… familiar. And dangerous. He took a step closer to my own standing position.I took a step back in a Kind of fear.He smirked. “Scared?
Lucy’s POVThe ground was cold. My whole body ached. My eyes fluttered open, with my heart racing hard.Piercing blue eyes stared down at me.I gasped, jerking up.A tall figure stood before me. Strong. Dangerous. Power radiated from him.Alpha Daniel. His voice was ice like that of the night water. “You’ve entered my land, rogue.”I swallowed hard as the words escaped my mouth. “I— I’m not a rogue.”He tilted his head. “Then why do you smell like one?”I glanced around. The river. The trees. The unknown land.I was in his own territory. And I was trapped in his own world already. Two wolves flanked him, their eyes sharp and untrusting. One of them growled. “Alpha, she could be a spy from the enemies pack."My heart pounded as one of the men Said. “I’m not a spy!”Daniel’s gaze didn’t waver. “Then why are you here?”I hesitated. Should I tell him?Would he even believe me?I licked my dry lips. “I was running.”His eyes darkened. “From who?”I hesitated. “Ash.”At her name, something
Lucy’s POVThe night was fully cold. The wind whispered through the trees, carrying the scent of danger and harm. My breath came fast, my heart hammering. We barely made it out of the pack’s borders before. An ambush from the yellow eye monster's .Growls. Shadows moving fast. Rogues.Daniel shouted, “Run!”Mira gasped, grabbing my arm. “Lucy, move!”I turned, Ethan stood his ground. His eyes locked onto mine, with something laced inside there. “Go.”I froze at a spot. My legs refused to move a bit. “Ethan..”His voice was sharp. “Run, Lucy! Now!”More figures burst from the trees. Fangs flashing. Claws gleaming.Daniel grabbed my wrist. “We have to split up!”Mira and Ivy bolted into the trees. Daniel pulled me toward the riverbank.Ethan? He stayed. Fighting. Alone.I hesitated, my chest tight. “I can’t just leave him...”Daniel yanked me back. “If we stay, we die too and besides he betrayed us the time we needed him!”I clenched my teeth. But I ran as fast as my leg could let me.T
Lucy’s POVThe cold, damp air of the cell clung to my skin. My wrists ached from the tight shackles. I could hear footsteps echoing in the hallway. Ash’s men. Again. And this time I could feel there eyes on my self.Mira sat beside me, her face bruised and pale, but her spirit unbroken. Ivy and Daniel were locked up in the same cell, but just too far for me to talk to them, but close enough for me to hear Daniel’s frustrated growls.I turned to Mira, whispering, “You said there’s a way out?”She nodded slightly. “A hidden tunnel. It leads outside, but… it’s risky.”A loud clang made me jump. The cell door swung open. Ethan stepped inside of the cell, with a Stern and serious look. His face was blank, his posture stiff. He shut the door behind him, stepping closer.“You need to be ready,” he muttered lowly, as he took few slow steps.Mira tensed at those words. “Ready for what exactly...huh?”Ethan’s eyes flickered with something unreadable. “Ash is moving you all soon. If you want to
