I woke up the next morning feeling sore but content, tangled in Talon’s arms. The events of last night came flooding back - the revelations about Craig, my decision to help with the plan… the deliciously feral sex. A knot formed in my stomach with the uncertainty of what today might bring, but I pushed it down. This was my chance to finally take control.

I extracted myself from Talon’s sleeping form, pressing a soft kiss to his forehead before heading quietly to the bathroom. As I waited for the shower to heat up, I stared at my reflection in the mirror, barely recognizing the woman looking back at me. Gone was the battered, broken shell I had been just a few weeks ago. In her place stood someone stronger, with a wildfire behind her eyes.

When I padded back to the bedroom wrapped in a towel, Talon was sitting up in bed, his hair de

  • Talon   Chapter 21

The next few weeks passed by in a blur as I settled into my new routine.I worked my shifts at the bar, getting to know the Warriors and their old ladies. Sometimes I helped Ledger tackle the club’s never-ending business paperwork. On my nights off, I’d curl up on the couch with Talon, binge-watching shows or reading while he cleaned his guns.It felt domestic in a way I never expected, but there was an undercurrent of excitement. The clubhouse was always buzzing with activity - meetings, parties, the occasional brawl. I was slowly relaxing into the chaos, learning to navigate this new world. The divorce had been finalized, Craig’s assets were seized, and I found myself with a surprising amount of money in the bank.I was still adjusting to wearing the club colors. It felt strange at first, like p

  • Talon   Chapter 20

TalonI stormed into Church dragging the prospect, Ryan, by the scruff of his neck. The kid was a mess - bruised, bloody and whimpering pathetically. I might’ve been the one responsible for that. The room fell silent as we entered, all eyes on us.“Lookie what I found,” I growled, throwing him to the floor in front of Jake.Jake’s eyes narrowed as he looked down at the traitor.Ryan pushed himself up to his knees, his eyes darting around the room. “Please,” he begged, “I can explain!”“I’m sure you have a cute little explanation for us,” Jake said coldly. “But first you’re gonna tell us everything. Every detail about your little arrangement with Craig.”I grabbed the kid by the arm and hauled him to his

  • Talon   Chapter 19

LauraI woke up the next morning feeling groggy but surprisingly well-rested. Talon’s arm was draped over my waist, his breath warm on the back of my neck.As the fog of sleep cleared, thoughts of yesterday came flooding in - confronting Craig, watching him get thrown into the back of an SUV, knowing he was likely dead by now… or at least wishing he was. A wave of emotions hit me - relief, guilt, anger, happiness. But mostly I felt an overwhelming sense of freedom. For the first time in years, I didn’t have to be afraid anymore.I turned in Talon’s embrace to look at him. He was still asleep, his face peaceful. I studied his features - the strong line of his jaw, the growing length of his thick black beard, his long wispy eyelashes. How could I have gotten so lucky? As if sensing my gaze, his eyes fluttered open. A slo

  • Talon   Chapter 18

Talon’s bike split off from the group and we took the long way back to the clubhouse, dipping out of town and winding through back roads. The familiar rumble of the engine and the wind whipping past helped calm my racing thoughts. When we pulled into the parking lot, I was surprised to see it mostly empty. Only a few bikes belonging to the inner circle remained. As we walked inside, the clubhouse felt eerily quiet, a stark contrast to the usual rowdy evening atmosphere. We made our way to the back room where Jake, Ledger, and a few others were gathered around a table, deep in conversation. They looked up as we entered, and Jake motioned for us to join them.“How’d it go at the warehouse?” Talon asked as we approached. He pulled out a chair and sat, pulling me down into his lap.“The guys were about to fill us in,&

  • Talon   Chapter 17

We pulled up to Bogart’s and the place looked deceptively normal - a quaint little coffee shop with a blue awning and flower boxes in the windows. It felt weird to picture it potentially bathed in blood by the end of today.Talon helped me off his bike, pulling me in close and planting a kiss on my forehead. We still had almost an hour to kill before the time I was supposed to meet Craig. The bell above the door chimed cheerfully as we walked into the shop. The smell of fresh coffee and pastries filled the air, a stark contrast to the dark tension humming through my body. The few patrons inside glanced up briefly, checking us out curiously before returning to their laptops and conversations.Jake approached the counter, exchanging a meaningful look with the barista - a tall, tattooed man who I assumed was in on the plan. He nodded almost imperceptibly before turning
