Elvira opened her eyes as she felt the sunlight against her face. Moving her eyes through the room where she was, she found that it was an unfamiliar room to her. Elvira’s eyes widened, and her mind started to recall what happened last night. Her heart started to pound against her chest. Sitting up on the bed immediately, she scanned everything that was inside the room. The room was so clean and beautiful. It had huge glass windows which gave her a perfect view of the rising sun.
The room was so big, comfortable, and luxurious. Everything inside the room was made of glass. There was a beautiful glass drinks cabinet which was filled with so many alcohol bottles. The room was like a small luxurious living room. She would have been so happy if this were her own room, but remembering that she was taken away by Lain, her heart crumpled from the pain remembering it. Turning her head, she stared out of the huge glass window until she heard the voice of the door opening in the room.
Elvira looked at the entrance of the room. As she looked there, she saw Lain, who was coming into the room. Wearing black sweatpants and a shirt that was unbuttoned, revealing his muscular body. His black hair was slightly wet and messy. His thin, sexy lips were red, and his sharp jaws were perfectly clenched together. Elvira moved her eyes through his body and grasped the bedsheet tightly. Why does he look so freaking handsome? He shouldn’t have been this handsome with his dangerous character! She thought strictly of looking at him.
“Slept well?” coming to her side of the bed, he asked her. Slept well? How can he even ask something like that? She was kidnapped by him! He took her here forcefully. How can she sleep well? Even though she had no idea how she fell asleep last night, it was obvious it was because she was exhausted and feared him. Without answering him, Elvira shifted her gaze away from his face.
Elvira waited for him to say something because she didn’t reply to him, but he said nothing. His silence pressured her to look at him. As her eyes fell on his devilishly handsome face, she found his eyes were not on her face but on her body. He was staring at her breasts, which were slightly exposed because of the nightdress she was wearing. Elvira swiftly covered her body with the quilt on the bed and looked into his eyes. How could he? Stare at a woman’s body like this? Pervert!
“You don’t have to cover yourself up in front of me. Anyways, I would be the only one to see you naked! So don’t worry.” Saying that, he stepped away from her while taking off his shirt. Elvira realized that there was a spine tattoo on his back. It was simply a normal tattoo without any decorations. A black thin line ran down from his neck to his torso. Elvira couldn’t help but think that it was so awesome and unique. She had seen men with tattoos before, but she had never seen such a simple one before.
Feeling her gaze, Lain turned and looked at her. Elvira retracted her gaze instantly. She didn’t want him to think that she was looking at him like that. Then he turned to her and came, making Elvira bite her lower lip. She really made a mistake by staring at him. A man like him would always feel someone’s gaze on him.
“Haven’t seen such a body before? Wanna touch?” Getting onto the bed, he moved closer to her with his sexy voice. Elvira’s heart started to beat wildly. She didn’t move her eyes to him as she stared out of the window. Shortly, he snatched the quilt away from her body and took her hand before placing it against his chest. Elvira looked at her hand, which was touching his chest, and tried to pull it back, but he was holding it tightly without letting her move it away.
“You feel my heartbeat for you?” he asked her. A reflective shiver ran down her body with the way he said that. He was not lying, she could feel his heartbeat against her palm. She took a glance at his face to see that he was smiling. Does he know how to smile, too? She thought. Then in the next second, he moved even closer to her and lowered his head, brushing his lips against her rose petal like lips.
“You know how happy I am to see you? I was looking for you for years, Umay.. They said I will never have a mate for myself. They said even if I got one, she would never be pure. But here you are.. You are so pure and delicate”, Umay? Did he just call her Umay? No one had ever called her by that name. Everyone said Elvira or Elvi, but why is he using that one? Her mind was a total mess because of him.
“Your father tried to hide you from me.. He said that he married you off to someone when I asked about you. He said your mate is a normal werewolf, and you are living with him.. He said he failed to save you for me.. Why is he so cruel? Why does everyone try to snatch you away from me? It hurts so much when I remember those words.” His face completely changed as he complained to her about what her father did. He looked like a little kid who was complaining to his mother about something hurtful.
Elvira stared at his innocent-looking face and gulped. His eyes were looking at her with innocence and pain. His puppy eyes made her heart skip a beat. Subsequently, he rested his forehead against her chest and sighed. Cold sweat appeared on her forehead, and her face turned pale from fear. Memoirs from ten years ago were running through her mind crazily!
“You… you are.. wrong. I’m not your.. mate.” She forced words out of her mouth. As soon as she said that, Lain lifted his head from her embrace and looked at her. The innocent-looking eyes that he had were replaced with eyes of danger. Elvira’s hands trembled looking into his eyes.
“What did you just say? You are twenty years old! Aren’t you? How can you say that?” He questioned her. She was not his mate.. If she were his mate, she should have felt something for him, but there was nothing. Her wolf was not attracted to him, her wolf was not telling her that he was her mate so how can it be possible?
“I don’t… I don’t feel anything. My wolf is not saying you are my mate… Please… let me go. You’ve mistaken me for someone else.. I hope your mate is somewhere out there,” she said. Her words made his eyes reddened. He moved away from her and eyed her coldly for a while before letting out a mocking smile.
“I will forgive you for lying to me this time.. The wolf inside of me will never be wrong, and he has never chosen anything wrongly either. I’m not gonna hurt you, Umay, I will not! I swear. Just don’t lie.. I hate when people lie.. I really feel like killing them when they lie to me!” His tone was both serious and scary. He said he would not hurt her. Elvira dug her nails into the bed sheet and shook her head. She was not lying to him.
“No.. I’m not lying, Lain.. I’m being honest with you.. I don’t feel anything for you. The mate bond or anything.. I don’t have those in me. How can I prove that to you?” Shaking her head, she muttered. Lain stared at her for a while and simply got up from the bed before walking into the dressing room. He ignored her words. Tears filled in her eyes, and she covered her face with her palms. How can she explain that to him? How is she going to tell him? What about her real mate? She wanted to be with her mate one day. She never wanted to be with another man but what is this?
After a while, Lain came out of the dressing room wearing a pair of black cargo pants and a black t-shirt with black military boots while holding a black jacket. Wearing his jacket, he glanced at Elvira. She stared at him with fear, seeing that he looked angry. Even if he stated that he would not hurt her, she couldn’t bring herself to believe his words. She knew what kind of man he was. He was simply a callous beast. She wanted nothing but to escape from him, and she was going to escape from him soon.
“Take a shower and wear one of my shirts for now. I’ll have someone send you clothes soon. Have your meals. You can walk anywhere inside the mansion, but do not step outside. I’ll be back around six in the evening,” he uttered. Elvira lowered her head and sighed. She didn’t want to stay here. She just wanted to leave as soon as possible. She felt him looking at her for a while. Aftwards, he walked out of the room, shutting the door behind him.
Once he left, Elvira slowly got up from the bed and stepped towards the huge glass wall in the room. As she lowered her head and looked outside, she saw Lain, who was walking out of the house. Seeing him coming, a man opened the door of the jeep for him and lowered his head. Elvira didn’t let her eyes move away from Lain as she stared at his handsome profile. Then he got into the jeep.
After the jeep was driven away, she leaned against the glass and slowly sat on the cold floor, hugging her knees and burying her face against them. Tears filled her eyes easily. What should she do now? How come her worst nightmare came to be real? She had never imagined living this close to Lain. Thinking about everything, her heart ached. She remembered the way he hit her father last night. He was so brutal.. How can she even be with a man who almost killed her father? Impossible.. She needed to leave him.
After crying for so long, Elvira dragged herself into the washroom and grabbed a shower. Wrapping a towel around her body, she went into the dressing room and looked through the elegant and stylish black colored glass wardrobes and sighed. He’s so rich, right? Of course, he should be rich! Taking out a shirt, she wore it and stepped outside of the dressing room.
“My lady.. Please open the door, I’m here with your breakfast.” A woman’s voice came from outside. Elvira went to the door and opened it, revealing a woman who must be in her late forties. The woman smiled at Elvira and stepped into the room.
“Please have your meals, my lady. Alpha asked me to watch you eating, "she said.
Elvira was sleeping comfortably, and she was in a deep sleep when she was jolted awake by the loud and dangerous noise of the thunder. Elvira’s body stiffened. She turned her head and looked out of the glass wall of the room to see that the rain was something to fall down like this. The rain was merciless tonight. While her eyes were staring outside the glass, she moved back wanting to reach Lain. She liked sleeping while hugging him when it was raining too heavily. When she moved back, she felt nothing but emptiness. Elvira immediately turned and looked at the bed to see that Lain was nowhere to be seen. “Lain?” Elvira muttered, sitting up on the bed. He was not in the washroom, he was not in the dressing room. Elvira frowned and then thought he must have gone down to drink water. But then her eyes fell on the water glass on the bedside table. The water glass was unfinished and untouched. Not knowing what he was doing, Elvira sighed and got down from the bed. She stepped on the floo
“Alec, I need to think about it. I don’t feel like doing it. I don’t know… I just don’t want to drink her blood. It will make me addicted!” Lain was honest, he didn’t want to drink her blood and get addicted to it. He was treating Elvira as a flower and he was treating her gently and carefully. So, how the hell is he going to pierce his teeth to her shoulders and suck on her blood? No he cannot do it! Shaking his head, he lowered his eyes. He didn’t want to do it and he was so fucking scared to do it thinking she would leave him. He wanted her to be with him till the day he died. He wanted to be loved by her until the last day of his life. “Oh... Alec.. Are you joining us for dinner?” Lain immediately turned and looked at Elvira who just entered the living room. As soon as he looked at her, his eyes fell on her red lips. It was obvious she had eaten something. As Lain looked at her lips, she raised her eyebrows at him and looked at Alec ignoring him completely. Lian turned to Alec t
Elvira ignored Lain completely as she tried to walk away, but Lain hurried his steps towards her. Then he pulled her to him without letting her leave. When she was pulled to Lain, Elvira started to struggle, wanting to break free from him. She didn’t want him to touch her. Trying to push him away, she looked up at him. Even though she tried her best to push him away from her, she couldn’t do it. She felt that she was doing something useless. She finally stopped struggling and stared at his face with tears before looking away. She was so hurt because of his actions. “Let go of me, Lain,” She muttered. Lain shook his head and picked her up, turning to leave. He took her into the room and kicked the door closed. Elvira said nothing; she stared at his face all the time and then bit her lower lip. She was deeply hurt by his actions. She hated it when he ignored her and when he didn’t answer her questions. Placing her on the bed, Lain sat next to her and let out a deep and complicated sigh
“What’s happening with you, Lain?” Elvira asked. Lain followed Elvira’s gaze and looked at his hands that she was looking at. Seeing his arms, his eyes held no emotions. This was not a secret or new thing to him since he knew what was happening with him. Ignoring it completely, he looked at Elvira and smiled. He didn’t want to show any difference to her. Elvira moved her eyes to Lain as he smiled at her. Watching his smiling face, she remained silent. She didn’t even want to smile back at him because she was having a bad feeling about everything. She felt he was hiding something from her. “It’s normal, Umay… As the Blood Alpha, this kind of change happens in my body. Don’t worry.. I know you are worried about me. But don’t be, it’s nothing” Elvira looked into his glowing emerald eyes as she bit her lower lip. Blood Alpha… of course he is the Blood Alpha but how can something like this happen? Elvira wondered looking at him, but since he was telling it was normal, she would believe h
Lain was standing on the balcony of his house while looking at the gloomy sky. He couldn’t believe the way the time passed so instantly without even realizing it. A few more months have passed, and it has been almost a year since he took Elvira here. He was glad that she was good to him and stayed with him without making trouble like before, but every single day he spent, he knew that he was getting closer to his death. The sky was so gloomy, and heavy rain was coming. Looking at the sky for so long while thinking about so many things, he lowered his head and looked at his hands. The veins in his hands were darker than before. He felt his body was slowly getting weak as he was going to spend the last three years of his life. He felt the changes in his body. Even though everyone who knew about his upcoming death thought he was still strong and he was still powerful, Lain knew that he was not as strong as he used to be. Day by day, he was getting weaker. Even though there were so many p
“No, brother Lain. Can we talk alone? I need to tell you about something that happened.” Elvira’s eyes sharpened. What is she going to talk about? Not her, Elvira should be the one to talk about what happened. She still didn’t tell Lain about anything because she didn’t want him to feel stressed. Watching Sasha’s fake emotions-filled face, Elvira scoffed as she finished her orange and took another one from the plate. Then she started to eat it while looking at Sasha. “What do you need to tell him? About the slap you gave me? Look at my cheek! She slapped me early in the morning because I made you not eat what she cooked.” Elvira’s words stunned Lain. Lain’s pupils contracted, and he immediately moved as he turned Elvira and looked at her cheek to see that it was slightly reddened. His heart started to hammer against his chest. Fury took over him as he turned to Sash, who was looking at him with tear-filled eyes. “What the fuck? Sasha? You slapped her?” Gripping her shoulders tightly
