Accident

Damian.

"Slow down Damian." Lauren laughed as I grabbed the two shots of scotch on the counter and pushed them down in one gulp one after the other.

"What's the use of high tolerance if I can't enjoy it," I replied and she chuckled.

"Kidney failure and several other infections??" She asked and I laughed.

"You're kidding right??" I gulped down the last shot of scotch on the counter and I pulled Lauren up from her seat.

"Damian, what are you doing??" She asked, smiling in embarrassment as I dragged her to the dancing floor.

"You brought me here so it's only fair enough that you dance with me and make the most of the time," I replied and she flushed in embarrassment.

"I don't know how to dance," she chuckled, but I grabbed her hand and smiled.

"Yeah, you do. Just imitate me." I began to dance to the beat of the loud music echoing all over the club. Lauren chuckled in embarrassment every second as she danced and she slowly began to dance more freely.

"So, where is Jenna?" I asked, raising my voice a bit so she could hear my voice over the sound of the music.

"She's working," Lauren replied.

"I just came here today because she has been getting herself in trouble with some bad men recently so when she said she found a new job, I wanted to make sure it's safe," she continued and I nodded.

"I was surprised when you called me to come to meet you at a bar," I said and we both laughed. Lauren stopped laughing and she stared at something behind me.

I stopped dancing and let go of her hand, turning around to see a man harassing a lady.......Jenna.

Lauren immediately walked past me and she walked up to them.

"Did you think you can run from me, you slut!" I heard the man say right from where I was standing with my wolf hearing.

"He's mad," Declan, my wolf said and I immediately went after Lauren.

The man was gripping Jenna's wrist tightly and she winced in pain, struggling to push his hand away.

"Hey, get your hands off her!" Lauren yelled at him and he slowly turned his head to face Lauren. He looked at her from head to toe and back again before laughing and he ignored her.

"Ouch." Declan's voice sounded in my head again and I pushed him back. I decided to stand behind Lauren and not interfere until I need to.

"No one steals from me and goes scot-free!" The man bellowed angrily and tried to drag Jenna away, but she refused and held on to a table.

"I didn't steal from you."

"She said, she didn't steal from you!" Lauren yelled at the man.

"Lauren, you need to leave now," Jenna said and I scoffed in disbelief. How could she say that to her sister who always worries so much about her despite her irresponsible behaviors?

"Yes, leave!" The man said and tried to drag Jenna away again.

"I need you to stop right now," Lauren said and she pulled out her badge.

"She's a fucking cop!" Someone exclaimed and I smiled, looking at the fear on his face. Some people immediately began to run out as they saw this, probably underaged people or those doing drugs and stuff.

"I'm with NYPD, I need you to step away from her right now," Lauren said and the man smiled bitterly before letting go of Jenna.

"If you think she stole from you, you can report her and submit a case," Lauren added and the man stared at her in anger before clicking his tongue and turning around to go.

"Yeah, that's what I thought," Lauren muttered and dropped her badge in her pocket.

"Jenna, are you okay?" She asked in concern, but Jenna glared at her harshly.

"Did you really have to interfere in my issues?" Jenna asked in anger.

"He was going to hurt you, I had to do something," Lauren replied.

"You don't know that and it is none of your business!" She retorted and I finally moved closer.

"Jenna, show some respect to your sister!" I said sternly and she faced me.

"Oh, so you brought your body-"

"Jenna, don't you dare!" Lauren shouted down and she breathed deeply.

"I think you need to leave now," Jenna said and I placed my hand on Lauren's shoulder.

"Lauren, let's go," I said and Lauren nodded before turning around and going with me.

As I drove us back to Lauren's house, she remained silent, leaning on the chair and looking out the window.

As I got to a less busy road, I slowed down a bit and faced her.

"Lauren, are you okay?" I asked and she looked at me, smiling bleakly and nodding.

"Just ignore. She'll eventually understand that you're only looking out for her," I said in assurance and she nodded.

"Damian looked out!" Lauren yelled and I looked up to see a small truck zooming at us at full speed and the headlights blinding me.

I tried to swerve the car out of its path, but the truck still hit us. Our car somersaulted in the air, and it landed on its side. I groaned in pain and I heard Lauren screaming in pain. I looked at my belly and saw that I had been stabbed by a loose piece of metal from the car. I looked at Lauren and saw her crying in pain. She wasn't stabbed, but there was a gash on her head and she was bleeding

"Damian-" she cried.

"Hold on," I grunted and I wrapped my hands around the metal, groaning as I struggled to pull it out of my belly.

I heard Lauren scream and I looked at her to see that the door on her side had been opened and someone pulled her out.

No, no, no. I tugged harder at the metal to force it out so I could stop whoever that was.

"Damian!!"
