Beast

Evelyn.

I tucked loose strands of my hair behind my right ear as I looked everywhere in the hall for the tall man in the wine tuxedo.

Where the hell was he? I have to get my hand on that stone before Tyler and prove him wrong. More importantly, I had to prove to my father that I was just as efficient as Tyler.

I looked at the door as I saw the edge of a wine tuxedo disappear. I quickly walked to the door and hurried out.

Fuck! I cursed once again as I saw the man in the wine tuxedo stop by a black BMW. The windows rolled down and he handed something to a man I couldn't see.

The windows rolled down again and I quickly ran forward, but no one seemed to take notice of me and the car drove off.

Bloody Hell.

I ran to my car and opened the door, climbing in quickly and igniting the engine as I drove after the black BMW.

So much stress for a freaking stone I'll never need.

Whoever was in that car must have noticed that I was after them as they began to zoom away at maximum speed.

Two can play this game.

I pulled the gear, chasing at them with the speed bar increasing steadily. I looked up and saw that the full moon was rising. Shit!! I trapped Tyler at the bar, what if he turns when everyone is there?

It was already too late to do anything now so I just continued going after the black BMW.

I noticed that the car slowed down so I slowed down too and watched them curiously.

They stopped at the foot of the woods and I pulled over by the side of the road a few meters away. I zoomed in on them with my supernatural sight and saw them holding chains.

I looked up at the full moon coming out of the sky again and realized what was happening. They were Werewolves and they would forcefully turn anytime soon.

I opened the door and climbed down from my car as they disappeared into the forest.

This is perfect.

I felt the familiar feeling inside of me that wanted me to turn into a wolf but my vampire side surprised it. Right now, they would all be in their wolf form, chained and restricted - the perfect time for me to get the MoonGem from them.

I shut the door of my car and I hurriedly walked to the car that was parked in front of the trees.

I tried to open the door, but it was locked. The windows were also rolled up and it was tinted.

I took a look around before smashing my elbow into the window. The glass shattered and I looked into the car, searching around for the MoonGem.

I remembered seeing a brown parcel being handed over to whoever was sitting at this side of the car earlier.

I backed away from the car and gritted my teeth. Goddammit.

They must have taken it with them into the woods. I looked up and saw that the full moon was fully out.

It is dangerous being around werewolves on a full moon night. They are like beasts without consciousness, but if they are chained to trees, then I can get the parcel quickly and run out.

I glanced around again before walking into the woods. I could hear the rustling of leaves and low growls with my wolf ears.

I stopped as I saw three large wolves chained to trees. Their bright yellow eyes bored into me and they growled, each of them struggling to break free.

I gulped and slowly walked closer, taking a look around. I saw the parcel lying on the floor close to the largest wolf among them.

It was an alpha wolf. I think.

He growled loudly at me, struggling to break free from the chains that bound him to the tree.

Those are silver chains, Evelyn. He can't break loose.

I breathed and I zoomed at the wolf at Vampire speed. I bent down and picked up the parcel, but before I could zoom away, the wolf bit on the bottom of my dress, forcefully stopping me and causing the parcel to fall.

The wolf tried to pull me close, but I grunted and I cut the edge of the dress with my claw.

I picked up the parcel again and moved away from the wolf. It began to leap forward, trying to break free from the chains and I moved even further away from it.

I unwrapped the parcel to make sure I had the right thing and I smiled as I saw the white crystal gem that has a lustrous glow.

I wrapped it back up quickly and turned around to leave when I heard a loud wooden snap behind me.

I looked over my shoulder and saw that the tree the wood was tied to had snapped in half and he was free.

Fuck!

I tried to run, but the wolf immediately leaped into the air and it pounced on me. The parcel fell out of my hand and I groaned as I landed on my back with a massive wolf pinning me down.

The wolf growled and I snarled back at it, my eyes turning yellow and my fangs and claws extending.

It tried to attack me, and I slashed its face with my claws. It shrieked in pain and attacked me with its ferocious teeth, but I bent my head to the side and kicked it in the abdomen with vamp strength.

The kick flung the wolf off me and it landed on the ground heavily.

I glanced at the parcel lying on the ground and back at the wolf again, before bouncing up to my feet.

I zoomed at the parcel, but the wolf leaped into the air and knocked me away with its heavy frame.

I fell to the ground and got up again to fight, but the wolf hit me again and its claws slashed deeply into the side of my left arm.

I winced in pain, holding on to it, and I kicked the wolf in the face with the tiny heel of my shoe.

It shrieked and staggered backward, but it lunged at me again and smacked me in the face. I fell and felt my nose break.

It stood in front of the parcel and I stood up. It had already injured me and the other Wolves were also struggling to break free.

I won't stand a chance. I have to run. One heel of my shoe had snapped so I bent down and broke the other one myself before zooming away.
