Evelyn.
I took a sip out of the wine glass in my hand as the CEO of Sphinx Enterprises, Mr. Wells gave a speech on the podium at the far end of the large hall.
He was saying something about his son returning from London and taking over the company.
Everyone clapped as he introduce his son and concluded his speech. I looked around the hall for any sign of Mr. Speranzini, but there was none.
No suspicious-looking person or guard. Everyone was either talking or pairing themselves off to dance.
"Sorry to disturb the young lady," I heard a disturbing British accent behind me and I turned around to see a man staring at me. He looked British although his accent was rather disturbing.
"I noticed you are here alone and I thought a beautiful lady like yourself should have some company," he said with his eyes trailing my body lustfully. I had the urge to throw my expensive wine in his face or gouge out his eyes, but I simply smiled.
I had been sitting here all alone and continually glancing around. I think it would be better if I had some company, no matter how annoying just to draw away attention.
"Thanks," I smiled sweetly and dropped the glass of wine on the table before me.
"You're such a gentleman," I added and he smiled in satisfaction, his eyes glittering as he looked at my body.
"Would you mind dancing with me?" He asked, stretching out his right hand towards me.
"Of course not." I courtesied and received his hands, letting him take me to the dance floor.
I sighed internally, holding myself from acting irrationally as he placed his right hand on my shoulder and his left hand grabbed my waist possessively. He pulled me closer to him and the scent of his cologne filled my hair. Cologne and an annoying manly scent.
We slowly danced to the rhythm of the song being played and at every chance he got, he made sure to trace my waist with his hands.
Put it together, Evelyn. I breathed as I didn't want to act out and draw attention to myself. I don't have a pass and I can't possibly compel everyone here.I decided to endure his behavior, making a mental note to punish him for this later.
I kept dancing to the beat with my eyes scanning the entire hall again and again. "Did I mention how beautiful you are?" The man asked in the same annoying accent and he grabbed my waist possessively."Yes, you mentioned that already," I replied with a smile to cover up the anger in me.
"Well, it cannot be overemphasized," he chuckled and I nodded, using my right hand to push aside few strands of my hair stuck in my face.I finally spotted something suspicious. I saw a man walk into the hall, dressed in a wine tuxedo and he was continually stealing glances around.
I made sure to hide my head behind the man I was dancing with and I watched him walk towards the bar.
He sat by the bar and I saw another man dressed in a similar tuxedo walk up to him. There was a swift exchange of something I couldn't clearly make out between the both of them.
"Excuse me," I pushed away the annoying British blonde in front of me and I quickly walked to the bar.
Before I could reach the bar, the two of them went in separate ways and disappeared into the crowd of guests.
I looked around, determined to find them, but my gaze stopped at the bar once more as I saw the rear view of someone who just appeared awfully familiar.
Bloody hell.
I walked to the bar gracefully, pushing down the urge to storm there and slam that ass against the wall.
"What the heck are you doing here?" I asked in an icy tone and the man standing before me stopped moving briefly, dropping his wine glass on the counter.
"Oh. Guess I have been found," Tyler replied and slowly turned around to face me with a smug smile."Tyler, why are you here?" I asked, glaring at him, although I could very much guess the damn reason.
"Umm. Between you and me, you don't want to hear it," He said and pressed his lips into a tight line. The two of us looked into the crowd, spotting the man who had just been secretly handed something.
"Say it Tyler!" I growled lowly and he smiled teasingly.
"I'm here because this mission is way too inportant and you would most likely fail," he said and I subconsciously clenched my fists. Of course, it was no news that my father trusted Tyler to be more effective than I am.
"If you'll excuse me," Tyler adjusted his tie and we looked sideways only to see that the man who had just been standing there had gone.Fuck! I cursed beneath my breath.
I wanted to go look for him and I saw that Tyler was also about to stand up. Swiftly, I pulled out a silver dagger hidden in my purse and drove it through his hand into the stool. He let out an almost silent groan and I smirked.
"Stay right here." I turned around and walked away. I tucked loose strands of my hair behind my right ear as I looked everywhere in the hall for the tall man in the wine tuxedo.
Where the hell was he? I have to get my hand on that stone before Tyler and prove him wrong. More importantly, I had to prove to my father that I was just as efficient as Tyler.
I looked at the door as I saw the edge of a wine tuxedo disappear. I quickly walked to the door and hurried out.Fuck! I cursed once again as I saw the man in the wine tuxedo stop by a black BMW. The windows rolled down and he handed something to a man I couldn't see.
The windows rolled down again and I quickly ran forward, but no one seemed to take notice of me and the car drove off.
Bloody Hell.
I ran to my car and opened the door, climbing in quickly and igniting the engine as I drove after the black BMW.
So much stress for a freaking stone I'll never need.
Evelyn. Two Days Earlier. I grunted, folding back as Axel threw a punch in my abdomen. He smirked and I raised my head, suddenly swinging my leg at his head. He ducked as I expected, but my other leg hit him right in the face. He staggered backward and I charged at him again, kicking his leg and causing him to fall to the ground on his back. "Oh okay, that's wicked." He groaned and I smiled. Axel was my cousin, but more like my brother. His parents died when he was young and my dad brought him to the pack. "I warned you," I said and I stretched out my hand to him. He grabbed it and I pulled him up to his feet."Eve-" I looked at the door and saw Tyler standing there. I groaned, throwing my head back. What the hell does he want? "What is it?""There's a meeting. Hurry up," he said and I looked at myself. "I'm a mess now, I need to freshen up," I said and he scoffed, shaking his head."No one cares, let's go," he said and I sighed before going to meet him. "Hi, Axel." Tyler wav
Damian. "Slow down Damian." Lauren laughed as I grabbed the two shots of scotch on the counter and pushed them down in one gulp one after the other. "What's the use of high tolerance if I can't enjoy it," I replied and she chuckled. "Kidney failure and several other infections??" She asked and I laughed. "You're kidding right??" I gulped down the last shot of scotch on the counter and I pulled Lauren up from her seat. "Damian, what are you doing??" She asked, smiling in embarrassment as I dragged her to the dancing floor. "You brought me here so it's only fair enough that you dance with me and make the most of the time," I replied and she flushed in embarrassment. "I don't know how to dance," she chuckled, but I grabbed her hand and smiled. "Yeah, you do. Just imitate me." I began to dance to the beat of the loud music echoing all over the club. Lauren chuckled in embarrassment every second as she danced and she slowly began to dance more freely. "So, where is Jenna?" I asked,
Damian. I heard Lauren scream and I looked at her to see that the door on her side had been opened and someone pulled her out. No, no, no. I tugged harder at the metal to force it out so I could stop whoever that was. "Damian!!" Lauren screamed and I got scared. The metal refused to come out, so I bent it instead, groaning until it broke. With the other piece of metal still inside me, I kicked the door on my side open and climbed down. I gasped as I saw a man holding a gun to Lauren's neck. My heart began to beat rapidly and I could hear Lauren's tense breath from where I sat. I tried to move closer to them but he held the gun closer to Lauren's head. "Don't you dare take one more step forward!" He threatened and I stopped moving immediately. "Okay....okay.... what do you want," I asked quickly and he moved out of the way so I could see the person standing behind her. Shit! It was the man who was harassing Jenna at the club. He smirked as he saw the look on my face. "You were

Whoever was in that car must have noticed that I was after them as they began to zoom away at maximum speed. T
Evelyn. Shit! Shit! Shit! Evelyn, what the fuck did you do?? I hit my forehead with my palm gritting my teeth in regret. I pulled the gear, zooming down the nearly empty road at maximum speed. I slowed down as I got close to the gate of the estate. I rolled down my windows and waved at the security guards."Open the gate."The gate slowly opened up and I drove into the estate. All Werewolves should have shifted back to their human form right now. The security guards never shifted, they were all Lycans, human hybrids and the curse didn't affect them. A strategy to ensure that the pack is not infiltrated on full moon nights even though it is the most inadvisable time to infiltrate. Speaking of curses, I fucked up and I am so dead. I was so confident that I would get the MoonGem this morning, but I didn't even lose it to bounty hunters, the black market, or the cops, I lost it to another pack! I lost the freaking MoonGem to another pack and now I don't know how I'm going to face a
Evelyn.10 years ago.I walked into history class with my handbag hung on my shoulder. I smiled as I saw Jessie, my best friend, and waved at her, going to sit next to her. I dropped my bag on my desk and looked at Mr. Millie's desk at the front of the class. I was late and he wasn't even in class yet. "Mr. Millie isn't in class yet," I said and Jessie nodded. "He should show up soon." I opened my bag to take out my history textbook and I looked up as I saw the new guy, Fred walk into the class. We ran into each other at the cafeteria yesterday and we both had mutual hated for most of the available foods. He was also nice and cute. He glanced across the classroom before going to sit on the empty seat next to me. He smiled at me and I smiled back at him. I looked up again and saw that Ashton also walked into the class. He saw the both of us and I could see the jealousy in his eyes. It felt so good to see him like that even though nothing was going on between the both of us. He h
I need to get out of here. I began to run but stopped as I remembered leaving me and Jessie's purse at the bar. I ran back to the bar quickly and grabbed the bags when I suddenly felt someone hold my head from behind. The last thing I heard was the snapping of my neck. ***PRESENTI dropped the make-up brush as I finished hiding the bruises on my face. I put a short pin in my hair that was packed into a bun. An emergency council meeting will be held according to my dad yesterday and I didn't want to further annoy him by being late. I walked out of my room and locked the door. After my neck was snapped at that Vampire club, I jerked back to life a few minutes ago. I didn't understand how I wasn't dead until I found out from Jessie that the drinks we had were usually spiked with Vampire blood. I had not bloomed as a Werewolf so dying with Vampire blood in my system must have made me a Vampire and brought me back to life. It's not logical, but that's the only possible explanation
Evelyn. "For it to work, it has to be someone from the Alpha bloodline," Elder Logan said and I sat up straight as I realized that I was the only female from the Alpha bloodline. Fuck! Of course.I muttered a curse beneath my breath. But surely they didn't expect that I would get married with a random Alpha I don't know. "It has to be Evelyn."I froze immediately. What the hell were they saying? Did they really want me to get married to a man that I don't know because of a mission? My dad clearly won't be in support of this. I look up at him and the look on his face shocked me. It looked like he was considering it. Why should he consider marrying his daughter off to a stranger? Apart from the non-consensual context of the marriage itself, it would put me in danger if, after the ritual, the Alpha refuses to let me leave the marriage. "Wait, what?!" I finally talked and I scoffed in disbelief."Think about it Eve, it'll only be for 3 months and after the Lunar eclipse, you can dum
