LEON'S POV

The heavy oak door thudded shut behind me, sealing me inside the silence of the house. I didn't turn on the lights as I leaned my forehead against the cool wood, my chest heaving.

The stench of the party, cigarettes and cheap colognes, still stuck to me. So I knew I had about fifteen minutes to quickly rinse off and get to church because the Saturday evening programme always started by 8:30.

ā€œLeon?ā€

I jumped, my heart hammering against my ribs like a trapped bird. Then I opened my ey

LEON'S POV The hallway that led to the abandoned gym was usually empty, the shadows long and thick, a perfect place for Aaron to pin me against the peeling paint.I hadn't even heard him coming, just felt the sudden, crushing shift in the air when he blocked my path. My heart skipped a beat even as I tried to keep my composure.ā€œMove,ā€ I blurted out.Aaron ignored, studying me silently with a care that made my heart lurch.ā€œI saw you talking with Damian. What were you and him talking about?ā€ he asked, his voice low, and full of uncharacteristic warmth.I looked away, fixing my gaze on a stubborn scuff mark on the floor. ā€œNothing that concerns you, Aaron. We’re allowed to talk. You don't need to know all the conversations I have with people.ā€ā€œI don't care about the conversations you have with people, I care about this one,ā€ Aaron said, stepping closer until his chest was inches from mine.We were alone here, and that alone seemed to increase my attraction to him. I could smell the sh

DAMIAN'S POV The evening air was thick with the scent of impending rain, but it did nothing to cool the restless energy humming under my skin.Dakota sat on the porch steps, tossing a pebble into the dark yard, while I leaned against the railing, nursing a cold can of coke. The house behind us was empty, a rare stillness that usually offered relief, but tonight, it only made the thoughts in my head louder.ā€œWhy did you even follow me out here if you were just going to be quiet?ā€ Dakota said, raising her eyes from her phone.I scoffed, taking a sip of my drink. ā€œIf you wanted someone to talk to, you wouldn't have come out here, so just enjoy the gift of silence that I'm giving to you, Dakota.ā€ā€œShut up,ā€ she murmured.I sighed, the sound lost in the rustling trees. Truthfully, my mind kept drifting back to the party, to the way Aaron had looked at me, like he was genuinely disappointed. And then he'd attacked me. Okay so maybe I went a bit overboard with mentioning his mom but then I

LEON'S POV The next day, I was sittng in the dim light of the library, the glow of the laptop screen reflecting in my eyes. My brow furrowed as I stared at the comment notification. It was from a user who had been persistently popping up for weeks, and just a little too familiar. It definitely wasn't Aaron’s old account, but the cadence of the words felt like him.ā€œEverything alright?ā€ May asked, leaning closer.I quickly clicked away, shaking my head. ā€œIt's nothing. Just trying to finish this chapter before the bellā€¦ā€The bell shrieked, cutting me off.May laughed, gathering her books. ā€œOh, bummer. Guess you'll have to pause after all and refuel. I’m looking forward to the new chapter tonight, by the way.ā€I managed a genuine smile. ā€œMe too. I can't wait to finish it and post.ā€As we fell into step with the crowd of students shuffling toward the cafeteria, May nudged my arm. ā€œCan I read it? Before it’s posted?ā€I paused, feigning deep consideration before letting out a chuckle. ā€œ

LEON'S POV The pounding on the wood was frantic, desperate. I shoved Aaron, my hands scrambling against his chest. ā€œGet up! Get up, you idiot!ā€Aaron didn't move at first, just slowly peeled his eyes open like a cat. I almost laughed from how heavy with sleep they looked.ā€œUgh, be calm,ā€ he whispered, then he slid out of the bed with a grace that mocked my frantic terror. ā€œI swear to God Aaron if you don't move faster I'm going toā€¦ā€I was immediately interrupted by another loud knock.Meanwhile Aaron took one look at my face, then dove straight into the closet, pulling the door shut until it clicked.I took a sharp, jagged breath, trying to slow my heart rate, and willed my hands to stop shaking. I walked to the door and unlocked it, pulling it open just enough to see my father’s face. It was red, his veins pulsing at his temples.ā€œUm…I’m here, Dad. I’m sorry,ā€ I said, keeping my voice as steady as I could manage. He pushed past me, his eyes sweeping the room like a hawk. ā€œTurn on

LEON'S POVIt didn't take long for me to fall asleep after Rose left.I don't know how long I slept but I was suddenly awoken by the sound of my phone buzzing against the bedside table. ā€œUgh,ā€ I groaned as I slowly sat up, my mouth feeling dry. I reached for it, my fingers trembling. Then my heart dropped as I saw what it was.A message from Aaron. But it wasn't a text., it was a video file.My chest seized, as a sharp, physical pain that made it hard to draw a full breath, rolled through it. I stared at the screen for a long moment before my thumb hovered over the play button and pressed down. The video started. It was Aaron, with a woman I couldn't recognize.Especially not with the dim lighting. But it wasn't so hard to know what they were doing, the sounds were already proof but the sight of Aaron's hips surging back and forth as he pounded into the loudly moaning woman, was unbearable. My brain and body were immediately thrown into a confusing state of dilemma.I didn't want t

It felt...real.ā€œHey Rose,ā€ I croaked, moving towards her.She closed the distance in two steps, her eyes scanning my face with a precision that made me feel entirely exposed. ā€œOh, Leon. What happened? You look like you’ve been crying , have you been crying

LEON'S POV Every harsh pump of his hips felt like it was hitting me. I imagined that thick girth piercing me instead, stretching me, filling the ache that several ice baths and self-pleasure always failed to freeze. My breathing became ragged, coming out in a series of short, sharp gasps.Aaron
