LOGINNORTH OREGON Castle is situated atop a hill, surrounded by trees. You can hear the howling wind and the flowing water from falls running into the river.
The castle is made of gold, with expensive furnishings, decorative ornaments, and dazzling light throughout. Outside, you can see the blue skies and clouds as if they are in the palm of your hand. The cold breeze of the morning air soothes the senses. But not for Adhara. It has been almost a day since Jarckon and his men brought her to the castle. Jarckon believes that Adhara is conspiring with others who want to harm him. Since she was brought here yesterday, she has not seen Jarckon again. His men locked her in this huge room. They only enter to bring her food, and no one dares to speak with her. She has been locked in this room for almost the whole day, feeling as if she is going crazy because she has no one to talk to. From time to time, she looks out the window, but all she can see are trees, and she can only hear the rustling leaves. A series of knocks on her door stirred her spirit. A moment later, the door opened wide, and a young woman entered, carrying a bulk of fabrics, dresses, and clothes. Adhara wondered who she was. For the first time, someone entered her room, and she felt joy at having someone to talk to. Adhara smiled at the young woman, but the young woman just stared at her. She put down the fabrics, dresses, and clothes she was carrying. “Hi,” she greeted with a smile. The young lady bowed in respect. “I am your servant, My Lady. I’m the one who will look after you.” “Servant?” Adhara looked surprised by what the young woman said. “My name is Felicity. I will be the one to look after you.” “Oh, thank you.” Felicity is one of Jarckon’s faithful servants of many years. She is half-human and half-wolf. Felicity is human in nature but has the ability to transform into a wolf at any time she wants. Jarckon trusts her implicitly and knows that Felicity will remain on his side. “Would you like to take a bath and change your clothes, my lady?” Felicity asked. She just nodded at Felicity and followed the young woman into the bathroom. She hasn’t been able to change her clothes for almost two days since Slagle took her to the woods. Felicity arranged her clothes and prepared the bathtub. She waited for Felicity to leave before she started to take a bath, but a few minutes later, Felicity was still standing in front of her. “Would you like to give me privacy?” Adhara said in a calming voice. “Oh, yes, My lady. I’ll be outside if you need my help.” Felicity went outside, and Adhara shook her head at Felicity’s behavior. She could never have imagined that the young woman would still accompany her during her bath. Not long after, Felicity went inside the bathroom, startling Adhara. “Oh, my God! What are you doing here?” Adhara almost shouted when she saw Felicity enter the bathroom. “I’m sorry, My lady, but I need to follow orders from the Alpha.” Adhara wondered what Felicity had said about which Alpha she was talking about, and it suddenly came to her mind. Was Jarckon the alpha that Felicity was talking about? “Whose Alpha are you talking about?” Adhara asked Felicity in an astonished voice. “The king Alpha Jarckon. He is the alpha, but he is not just an alpha; he is the most powerful in the wolf clan in the world, my lady,” Felicity continued, explaining. She seemed to faint at what she found out. She didn’t realize Jarckon was the powerful alpha of the Werewolf clan in the world. She suddenly stood up in the bathtub and took a shower, not caring if Felicity was in front of her. She grabbed a towel and wiped her body. Felicity brought her clothes and helped her dress. Adhara ran over to the window and looked from afar. She seemed to suddenly get a panic attack at what she found out and tried to calm herself down. Felicity was surprised by Adhara’s actions and immediately followed her. “Are you okay, my lady?” “Yes, I am fine,” she assured Felicity. “But you look pale?” “No, I am fine. I just need fresh air.” Felicity brought her outside the castle to breathe some fresh air and let her go around the castle, but Felicity always kept an eye on her, never letting her out of her sight. The alpha would punish her if she let Adhara out of her sight. Felicity was keen from the time she brought Adhara outside of the castle, following her everywhere, which annoyed Adhara. There were times she wanted to ask Felicity if she wasn’t getting tired of following her. It was late afternoon when she returned to her room, and Felicity remained, still following her, which bothered her and made her feel that she couldn’t move on her own. She breathed a sigh of relief when Felicity came out of the room. She could move freely, and no one followed and watched her every move. She looked at the window, where she could see the sunset, which made a beautiful view. She breathed heavily and thought again of what Felicity said about Jarckon. She wondered what the alpha was planning to do to her. Would she stay here in the castle for a few days, weeks, or months? She felt drowsy and decided to take a nap. She lay down on the bed, and a moment later, she was deeply asleep. “Adhara gives her body to Jarckon again. She didn’t care to refuse whenever Jarckon owned her body, she didn’t even admit that she started to like every touch of Jarckon’s lips on her naked body. She moaned every moment Adhara feels Jarckon is inside of her.” She was startled and suddenly got up, hearing a series of knocks on the door. She grasped a breath and exhaled. She looked at herself and was thankful that she wasn't naked. Mating with Jarckon was just a dream, and she was thankful that it was just a dream. She could never imagine that the two of them would mate again, that it would never happen again. She saw Felicity carrying a tray of food, and she hadn’t noticed that it was already late at night. Felicity prepared her meal, which almost tore up the entire table. She looked at Felicity and invited her to join her for dinner. “Come, have a seat. The food is too much for me.” “Thank you, my lady, but I am not allowed to join you for dinner.” “It’s okay, I insist.” Adhara pulled the chair beside her and prepared another plate for Felicity. “Please join me.” “I’m sorry, my lady, but the Alpha would be angry with me.” Adhara just breathed heavily and sighed. Jarckon was making her life so miserable. “Can I talk to him?” Adhara asked Felicity. Felicity gave her a sudden look, her eyes wide, her hands over her mouth. She was shocked by what Adhara said. “No, my lady.” “Why not? I need to talk to him.” “Not… now, my lady.” Adhara just sighed and continued eating her dinner. She felt she had lost her appetite, but she needed to eat. It had been a day without having some food. She needed to try to talk with Jarckon. She needed to know how long she would be locked here in the castle. Yet, she felt fear of the alpha, but she needed to face him. Since the day Adhara learned that Jarckon was the most powerful alpha of the wolf clan in the world, she felt fear, not just because he was an alpha, but because she was afraid Jarckon would harm her. She had no chance to escape his grasp; she was locked in the castle and guarded by Felicity and the other werewolves. She didn’t even know how many hours or days she had stayed in the castle, surrounded by his men. The castle was located at the top of a hill, giving her no chance to escape. At first, she had planned how to escape, but she failed. She wanted to get away from this place. Every day was getting harder, and living this kind of life was making her ill. It was already midnight, and she was still awake, looking out of the castle window. All she could see were tall trees, and the howling sounds of leaves sometimes thrilled her. She sat on her bed and sighed, thinking about the possibilities of escaping the castle. Suddenly, she heard a strange sound on the other side of the wall, like a heavy object crashing on the floor. She leaned against the wall to hear the sounds hitting it. It wasn’t just a one-time occurrence; she heard these strange sounds every day. At first, she didn’t care, but as the days went by, it made her curious. What’s that sound? With the heavy objects hitting the wall and crashing on the floor, she pressed her ears to the wall to hear more of the sounds that bothered her. A moment later, she heard footsteps coming into her room. She hurriedly went back to her bed and pretended to be asleep. At that time, the door opened wide. She slightly opened her eyes and could see the lamp illuminating her room. It was Felicity and another person. Maybe they were just checking on her because they were worried she would try to run away again. When they saw Adhara lying on the bed and realized she was deeply asleep, Felicity closed the door. She stood up and got closer to the wall to listen to the sound again, but it was gone, and only deafening silence was left behind. The strange sounds that rattled her and being locked up in the castle made her life miserable. After an hour, she woke up to the sounds again. This time, they were louder, and she could hear growling sounds too. The howling of the wind made her tremble. She felt that something was happening inside the castle. Suddenly, the door opened wide, and a group of werewolves came for her. They pulled her out of her room, and she had no idea where they would take her. She was surprised when she saw Felicity at the side of the hallway with fear in her eyes. “Felicity?” “My lady, I’m sorry… I promise you will be fine.” She tried to loosen their grip on her, but she could do nothing because of their strength. “Let go of me… Where are you taking me?” Adhara asked them. They said nothing and continued walking along the hallway of the castle until they reached the biggest room. To her surprise, she was amazed by the door that was made of gold, and it slowly opened. Adhara was pulled inside the room. She looked around and scanned everything. It was dazzling, from the tiny things to the bigger ones, all made of gold. She also noticed that the floor was glittering, almost like a mirror. She also noticed that the curtains were almost hanging down, and even the light of the sun could not enter this room. The lampshade beside the table only provided a little light. She was startled when she heard a voice from behind. She immediately turned around and almost walked backward when she saw Jarckon. “Did I surprise you?” Jarckon said and smiled a little. “You startled me. What do you want?” Jarckon smiled at her and walked towards her. She stepped backward because she hesitated to get closer to Jarckon. She didn’t want to get in touch with him, not even a single touch. She felt more afraid when she saw him again. She felt his eyes widen, those green eyes that attracted her on the night they had mated. “I heard that you attempted to escape?” Adhara just kept silent and waited for other words from Jarckon, but terror enveloped her as his voice rose a little. “No one can disobey my law.” “Why are you doing this?” “It doesn’t matter what I want to do; as long as you’re inside my castle, you learn to obey me.” Jarckon said seriously. She seemed to want to cry because of Jarckon’s treatment of her and the pain she felt every time she was locked in the room. She was imprisoned in this castle. She hated this kind of life, and every day made her sick. The more it got harder, the more she thought about escaping. She must do something before it was too late. A moment passed, and she noticed something about Jarckon. He was getting uneasy and restless until Jarckon growled as if he was in pain. He suddenly fell to his knees and seemed to be in pain. Steadily, his appearance transformed into a crazy wolf, an animal out of control. He couldn’t control what was happening to him; the power was uncontrollable as time passed. Adhara wanted to help Jarckon, but her fear prevailed. She just stared at Jarckon and witnessed his transformation. He looked too different from the time she saw him in the woods. She hurriedly went outside and quickly ran toward her room. She met Felicity, but she ignored her, ran inside her room, and looked out the window. Up here, she could hear Jarckon’s growling. She even remembered his green eyes that were looking at her a while ago. Those green eyes were so vivid and powerful. The most ferocious alpha in the wolf clan world. She was now determined to get away from this place; she wanted to escape this castle. She couldn’t take it any longer, no matter what her life would be.Jarckon stared at his reflection in a cracked mirror, his figure a distorted mess. He felt on the verge of a breakdown, barely recognizing the image staring back. He knelt on the floor, wishing he could restore his former self, but as time passed, he felt himself transforming into a vicious, wolf-like beast. The curse grew stronger, and he was dismayed by the thought of living as a monster forever. He slammed his head against the wall, enduring the sharp pain. His anguished roars echoed through the room. Jarckon struggled to control the transformation, thick, black fur sprouting from his skin. It was midnight. The air was cold, and the wind howled. Adhara stirred in her sleep, the familiar sounds piercing through her window. She rose from her bed, her bare feet touching the cold marble floor. Leaving her room, she followed the worrying sounds. With each step, her heart trembled with a mix of curiosity and fear. Adhara recognized the sounds from the castle, but they were much l
“BREAKFAST is ready,” Jarckon said. The trembling in her chest grew when Jarckon murmured this in her ear. She could smell his fresh scent, which invoked a desire to kiss him. She turned around and walked toward her dressing room, leaving Jarckon alone in the middle of the room. “I will wait for you.” “Yeah, sure. Just give me a minute.” Her voice wavered. She didn’t know if Jarckon noticed. A moment later, Adhara emerged from her dressing room wearing an oversized shirt that reached almost to her knees. Jarckon smiled when he saw Adhara. She looked charming in his eyes. As time went by, Jarckon developed feelings for Adhara. They grew stronger. He didn’t know when it had started; it had just grown like a flower blossoming in a garden. It was as if everything about him had changed. But one thing he needed to assure himself: he would keep Adhara from danger and protect her, even if it meant giving his own life. Since Jarckon was getting better, he managed things himself as
The wind blows, creating eerie sounds, and snowdrops fall to the ground. The freezing air and icy weather make the whole place feel sad. Jarckon is lying down, asleep; he looks more peaceful, and his pain seems lessened. A bandage is rolled on his shoulder. Adhara placed a cold towel on his forehead to help bring his body temperature back to normal—a simple treatment that offers him some relief. Adhara sat on the couch, looking at Jarckon, thinking about what would happen in the next few days of staying in her place. She looked around as if memorizing every part of the room, smiling when she saw that everything was still there. She walked toward her dresser and retrieved the photo pasted on the mirror. It was her and Slagle, the last photo she had with him. She took it, crumpled it, and threw it into the fire. Adhara looked outside, glancing all over the surface. It was silent and lovely, entirely distinct from the day she had left. She kept staring and watching the snowdrops on the
Adhara stares at Jarckon, unable to process what has just happened. She resents him for saving her. He shouldn’t have. Now she feels indebted to Jarckon for saving her life from Slagle. “You’re a damn fool! Why did you do that?” she asks, her eyes brimming with tears. She pulls Jarckon inside the stone house—damaged, yet offering better protection from the freezing weather. She grabs garments to cover Jarckon’s body and starts a fire in the fireplace to keep them warm. She then applies first aid to soothe his pain. “Are you mad at me?” Jarckon asks. She doesn’t answer, focusing instead on the medical kit she found. She applies a plaster to his face and ointment to the bruised areas of his body. “I’m sorry. I just wanted to save you.” Adhara turns and looks out at the snow-covered landscape. The weather is worsening. She glances at Jarckon, lying impaired on the bed. His legs are broken, and he can barely move his arms. “Thank you for saving me,” she says. She admits to herself
She opened her eyes when she heard Jarckon’s voice. She saw his bruised face, blood running down his forehead. “Jarckon.” “Don’t speak. Stay here; I will be back.” Jarckon left her in the shrubs, where she could find shelter, and covered her body to protect her from the chilly weather. She pulled herself up to sit against the wood, letting her body rest. Adhara felt extreme pain in her arms and forehead. Jarckon returned to the place where he had left his brother, Slagle, not to fight, but to talk. He explored the area, but there was no trace of Slagle. He kept looking, feeling that Slagle was hiding somewhere. Jarckon knew his brother; he wouldn’t stop until he got what he wanted. He was scared that his brother had an evil plan against Adhara. “Looking for me, brother?” Jarckon turned around when he heard Slagle’s voice. “Come on, Slagle, let’s talk about this.” Slagle laughed, a devilish sound. He smirked at Jarckon, mocking his brother. “Why are you doing this?” Slagle s
Jarckon and his men crossed the village to reach the town, undeterred by the harsh weather. He moved with unwavering resolve. With his werewolf visage, he traversed the town in search of his brother, Slagle. Silvery sleet enveloped the town, and the mountains seemed to wither under the weather's assault. From his vantage point, he spotted a small stone house and sensed Adhara's presence. Her scent lingered, evoking memories of her skin against his. As he approached the stone residence, he detected the metallic tang of blood. Adhara's whimpers echoed through the town. With a howl, Jarckon bounded over the icy shrubs and into the house. Inside, Slagle dragged Adhara, shoving her against the wall, pinning her hands, and pressing her head against the cold stone. "You're hurting me," she trembled, her limbs shaking as blood trickled from her forehead. "Don't do this to me," Adhara pleaded. "You think I'm insane, huh? That I'd let you live?" "Please, I'm begging you." "Sincerely? You
