INICIAR SESIÓNSilence fell over the scorched subterranean clinic, broken only by the crackle of dying embers outside.
Beta Marcus, covered in soot, stepped through the shattered entrance, his face deathly pale as he looked at his tactical tablet.
"Alpha..." Marcus whispered, his voice trembling. "Freya isn't lying. The Citadel network just went dark. Silas has locked down the mountain pass with the ancient Aegis Barrier. Pack communications have been severed. The Council has officially recognized Silas as Acting Regent."
Freya’s frantic, hysterical grin widened. "You lose, Caelum. You exchanged your entire kingdom for a rogue female."
Caelum didn't flinch.
Slowly, his clawed hand moved. Without a word, he grabbed Freya by the back of her designer collar, lifting her off her feet as if she were a sack of laundry.
"Marcus," Caelum commanded coldly, turning toward the doorway. "Load the children and Dr. Abram into the armored transports. Transfer them to our secure mountain safehouse at the base of Peak Four."
"And you, Alpha?" Marcus asked, his jaw tight. "The Aegis Barrier is an ancient royal shield. It requires a royal bloodline to breach from the outside. Not even a full Lycan pack can break through those heavy stone gates."
Caelum turned his head a little, his golden-silver eyes fixing on Lyra.
Lyra stepped forward, her eyes blazing with an unyielding, ancient fire. She pulled back her sleeve, exposing the radiant, golden Sun-Marked crest etched into her flesh.
"The Aegis Barrier was built by my ancestors three hundred years ago," Lyra said softly, her voice carrying the absolute authority of a true Queen. "Silas thinks he locked us out. All he did was trap himself in a room with two angry Alphas."
An hour later, at the base of the towering Obsidian Ridge mountain, a violent blizzard raged.
At the entrance of the mountain pass stood the giant, three-story iron gates of the Citadel. A shimmering, translucent dome of dark purple energy—the Aegis Barrier—stretched over the entire fortress, humming with deadly anti-pack magic designed to incinerate any unauthorized wolf who touched it.
Behind the barrier stood fifty of Silas’s heavily armed Council guards, laughing and drinking whiskey around burn drums, confident that no one could breach the impenetrable shield.
Through the blinding snow, two figures walked side-by-side up the icy path.
Caelum walked on the right, his broad shoulders squared, his black coat billowing in the gale-force wind. At his left stood Lyra, wearing a sleek white leather tactical jacket over her dark clothes, her hair whipping wildly around her face.
The Council guards at the gate froze, pointing their spotlights down the path.
"Look!" one guard yelled through the comms. "It's the deposed Alpha and his rogue mate! They actually came back!"
The guard captain stepped up to the iron bars, laughing mockingly through the purple barrier. "Turn back, Caelum! You are stripped of your title by order of Regent Silas! If you touch this barrier, your flesh will melt from your bones!"
Caelum stopped ten feet from the glowing barrier. He glanced down at Lyra, a dark, dangerous smirk playing on his lips.
"Your turn, Queen," Caelum rumbled softly.
Lyra stepped forward alone. She reached out her right hand, placing her bare palm directly against the lethal purple energy of the Aegis Barrier.
The Council guards gasped, expecting her hand to be reduced to ash.
Instead, the moment her skin touched the barrier, her Sun-Marked crest exploded with a blinding, divine GOLDEN LIGHT.
BOOM!
A violent shock-wave of pure solar energy blasted through the barrier. The dark purple magic immediately dissipated, turning into a bright, shimmering golden wave that washed over the whole mountain. The heavy three-story iron gates creaked loudly, their massive deadbolts shattering like cheap glass under the weight of her royal authority.
The barrier vanished. The iron gates swung wide open into the courtyard.
The fifty guards stumbled back in absolute, paralyzed horror, their weapons shaking in their hands.
Lyra turned her golden eyes toward the frightened guards, her voice echoing through the courtyard like a divine decree:
"Tell Silas... the true rulers of Obsidian Ridge have arrived."
Caelum let out a dark, predatory growl, his massive black claws extending as he stepped past her into the courtyard.
"And we're here for his head."
Inside the quiet, opulent master suite, the heavy double oak doors slammed shut, locking out the frantic chaos of the citadel.Caelum gently set Lyra down on the edge of the massive plush bed. He immediately dropped to his knees before her, his large, calloused hands sliding up her thighs, checking her for any hidden wounds. His touch was surprisingly tender for a man who had just dismantled an army of void warriors minutes prior."Caelum, I'm truly not hurt," Lyra whispered, her fingers sliding through his thick black hair, lifting his face so his gold-and-silver eyes met hers."I almost lost you," Caelum rumbled softly, his voice trembling with raw, unshielded emotion. "When that blast went off... my heart stopped, Lyra."He leaned up, placing his forehead against hers, his hot breath fanning across her lips. The air was thick and heady with the scent of dark chocolate and cedarwood, coiling around her senses."You are my absolute world," Caelum purred, a low, animalistic sound vibr

His heavy leather coat shredded, his skin scorching under the dark-silver lightning, but he didn't yield an inch.Elder Vance’s body collapsed into a pile of black ash, leaving the silver void dagger floating mid-air, spinning violently as it ripped open a tear in space itself!A black hole—a miniature realm portal—opened right in the center of the War Room floor!Out of the portal stepped three towering figures clad in pitch-black void armor, their eyes glowing like dying stars. The massive ramp of the gunship slammed down forcefully onto the helipad of the Obsidian Ridge Citadel, which lay covered in rain.As Lyra made her way through the magnificent stone hallways of the royal fortress, Caelum guided her. The War Room, which was located underground, was entered by heavy iron doors that opened. Inside, thirty of the most powerful pack generals and elders were seated around a glowing stone table.Elder Vance was a large, weathered wolf with white-silver hair who wore the regal robes of the royal house. He was serving as the head of the table. It was a massive silver signet ring that pulsated with a faint, corrupted black glow, and it was sitting on his thumb. It is Caelum! There you are, at long last! Elder Vance yelled out while bending his head ever-so-slightly, yet his dark eyes continued to fixate on Lyra with a lustful gaze. Moreover, you brought the Sun Princess! That is truly remarkable. This is the last piece of the puzzle that we require. As Caelum mo
The royal stealth gunship tore through the skies at supersonic speeds, leaving a roaring trail of jet wash behind. The atmosphere in the primary command suite was stifling. Red war sirens pulsed incessantly, casting long, bloody shadows against the slick steel walls. Emergency holoscreens floated in the air, displaying live satellite feeds of Obsidian Ridge’s northern perimeter. The sight was horrific. An unnatural, massive tidal wave of pitch-black void energy was pouring down from the frozen northern peaks. Dark flames devoured whole border outposts, their distress signals fading one by one into dead silence.Lyra stood in front of the holographic map, her golden eyes set on the void forces closing in around them.Suddenly, broad, muscular arms wrapped securely around her waist. Caelum pulled her body firmly back against his broad chest, burying his face in the crook of her neck. BOOM!Caelum met Malakor in mid-air.Caelum’s shadow-clad hand caught the blade of Malakor’s venomous harpoon with his bare palm, snapping the solid void-steel shaft in half like a dried twig!"WHAT?!" Malakor gasped in horror. Before the sea-warlord could fall back, Caelum’s other hand shot out, clamping hard around Malakor’s scaled throat. They slammed into the stone floor together, crushing the ancient masonry into a ten-foot crater. Caelum stood over the massive warlord, his claws extended eight inches, his gold-and-silver eyes glowing with a divine executioner’s light."You drained my queen's mother," Caelum rumbled softly—a tone far more terrifying than any roar. "You threatened my mate."SWOOSH!Caelum’s shadow blade slashed down.Malakor let out a wet, strangled scream as Caelum cleanly severed both of the warlord’s arms at the shoulders, pinning his massive body to the crater floor.Meanwhile, Lyra leaped across the boiling pit of liquid dark-silver.Her solar wings erupted f
