Chapter Four
"Take a rest. I've fixed up your room," I pointed to his room. His eyes went there for a moment and returned to me.
"I've cleaned that up before," I shyly smiled at him. Damian immediately frowned.
"What the hell?" Damian disapproval.
"Where will we sleep?" Sin supported and his eyes widened even more as realization hit him.
Celestina and Nieva were quietly eating dinner even though they were looking at us. They chose to sleep beside my grandmother. There are only three bedrooms here and one is mine.
"There's a hut outside where you can sleep. You would put your guest to sleep there?" my sarcastic question, teasing them.
I planned to sleep beside grandma too. So they will sleep in my room as planned.
Sin snorted, "We're guests too. Handsome guest," he added, emphasizing the word handsome.
Damian walked into the room where some of their belongings had been.
"Where are my belongings?" Damian's eyes grew bigger.
Sin ran to where Damian was. I used my lips to point my room where I put their things.
Sin smirked. "Aha! We will sleep in your room?"
"Yes." I retorted.
"I won't allow it." Aristotle disagrees with the idea. His deep voice made my hair stand on end.
"We can fit in the same room," he added with a shrug before looking at me.
I immediately averted my eyes from him. I should quit staring. I should stop overthinking things. Feeling like mine has come to pass.
"I can sleep on the floor," Sin laughed full of plasticity as Aristotle looked at him badly.
"How about my backbone, I'm afraid it'll dislocate," He whispered to himself.
We only laughed at what he said. Aristotle whispered something to Sin that made the latter pale. What did he whisper to scare Sin? Aristotle looked at me but was also immediately removed. I didn't speak anymore when I saw how his lips pressed hard.
"The guest room is big. We can sleep on the floor," Alejandro suggested.
Everyone nodded, especially Sin who seemed to be dying if he didn't sleep in one room. The thought of him sleeping outside really hit him as if it was his first.
"Maybe Aristotle will fall in love again," Sin uttered again.
My eyes widened at what he said. I would have stoned him with a slipper for what he said. The tension between the two of us becomes more awkward. I glanced at him for about 0.01 seconds. He doesn't have the slightest interest in what Sin said. This sinner is annoying!
Nieva giggled to the side, "I can imagine that."
Aristotle glanced at me.
"Don' teased them, Sin. "Alejandro said.
"Let him rest," he added.
Alejandro face me for a minute. He didn’t smile or nod. He left without saying anything and entered the bedroom. It was only seven o'clock in the evening, they decided to have a drink first. Sin and Damian quickly bought a liquors store nearby. I was just shaken by the two.
Chapter SixI was surprised when a man approached me. His almost at my age. A smile plastered on his lips."H-hello." I forced myself to smile even though the truth was I was confused. I just don’t want to be rude. He laughed. I saw the dimple come out on his both cheeks."We were classmates in elementary school, Edward." He clutched his hands on his nape to his neck as if embarrassed, but the man looks friendly.I watched him carefully but I can't remember him, many things happened. I’m embarrassed to explain that I can't recognize him, I just pretended I recollected."Ah, y-yeah. I remembered.""Good,"
Whereas when they picked me up then, we fit in the car. These vermins are just making alibis! I glanced at Alejandro because I knew he had a car because he was the one who came after me yesterday. He averted my gaze, "Tito used all the vehicle," he said pertaining to Damian's father as the twins played with him.I can't believe what he said because this duck is sympathetic to Sin's mischief! I know there's a lots of cars here, but when I look the garage there's nothing left not even a cart guides are all taken off! They giggled inside. I removed my hand from the window as it slowly closed.'Goodluck, mommy!' Kaja mouthed. The twins waved at me so I did the same even though I knew I was a smiling like andog at them. They knew that their father is here. In. Marinduque! I calmed myself. I
Chapter FiveIt's been a few days since I last saw Aristotle and that was a favor for me because every time he was there I was stunned. I watched the faces of Kaja and Grunt while they were sleeping, I couldn’t help but remember Aristotle’s face on the two. They capture all the features of their father. For six years, I am contented with my life as long as my children is with me. They are the one give me light, hope to fight and to stand tall. It's hard to move on especially when someone reminds you. I just got used to it and could do nothing but accept the fact that I couldn’t give a whole family to my children. I stroked the twin's hair. Kaja moved so I smiled because even their actions were no different from Aristotle's. They look like angels when sleeping. I am thankful to the lord, because he has given me the two people that make up my life today. I chose to stay a
"I-I'm just feeling thirsty," I cursed to myself as I stuttered. I was restless and almost let go of the glass I was holding. He just stared at me intently. My body hair stood at the thought. He just stood there and looked at me. Honestly, it's awkward.“Staring is rude,” His emotionless mumbled.I stepped back and looked out the window, "You -- why aren't you sleeping yet? Is there a problem in your room?"He sniffed and stared at me with relief. Seems like he can't believe my question."I'm fine. There's nothing wrong," he said in an intense tongue. We were both surprised because I held his hand when I reached for the faucet to wash the glass I used. He immediately let go of my hand like I have some kind of disease. I didn't realize that he was coming."Are you hungry?" I chew my lower lip intensified because of my question. He just drank and di
Alkaid and Damian as usual talking about girls. The awkwardness comes out more while Alejandro is just quiet and watching. Only speak when needed. They offer me but I refuse. Instead, I just kept on chewing on the barbecue they bought at the grill shop."About Aristotle ..." My mind was incited when I heard Celestina mention Aristotle's name."Is it okay that he's here?"I couldn't instantly answer her question. Because even I, ask myself. But it's a better question if it's okay for Aristotle to be here at home where I am. I knew in my heart that I was to blame so he hates me. I still can’t understand why he agreed to stay here. Maybe he wants revenge? Or he just doesn't care about me anymore because he already moves on. I breathe in with the thought. I handed over the liquor Nieva had given me and drank."Of course. There's nothing wrong with him staying here tonight," I replied before having
