Jackson and Lorenzo entered the ward and noticed the intense gaze in Vincenzo's eyes, who was lying on the bed while staring at the wall infront of him with his dark gaze which was screaming danger."I'm glad that you're fine Vinc--"Vincenzo closed his eyes in anger and turned his head towards them. "I wasn't supposed to end up here man!"His whole body was boiling with anger. "Vincenzo, calm the fuck down!I know our plan was about to succeed but someone betrayed us at the very last moment by leaking the news to our rival."Jackson tried to calm Vincenzo, who was ready to lose his goddamned temper. "And who that fucking bastard is?"Lorenzo lifted his face to look at Vincenzo."It's that old greedy brat James Martin and his son Thomas Martin." Lorenzo stated, Vincenzo was shocked to hear those names as they had been in his team for years and now it was time for them to pay for their betrayal, as Vincenzo hated betrayals. He was thinking about ways to hunt his prey. "They leaked the information since Norman had promised to pay them more." Vincenzo smirked. "They get blinded by money that they forgot whom they're fucking with and about the consequences when I discovered their betrayal." Vincenzo said while gritting his teeth."Well, talking about James Martin.I had something to--"Suddenly, a nurse entered the room, interrupting them and that made Jackson to stop whatever he was about to confess. Jackson was about to say something to that nurse but Vincenzo signaled him not to by shaking his a little. The nurse greeted them with her trembling voice. "S-sir, I'm o-ordered to check the blood bag and s-some other r-reports, may I?S-sorry for interruption."The nurse said while sluttering, to which Vincenzo nodded his head in anticipation. While she was doing her job with her trembling hands, Vincenzo stared at her with his dark intense gaze, making her nervous when she was already. He licked his lips when he checked her out from head to toe.At one point she started to sweat and finished her duty instantly not wanting to stay there for a second as she was about leave but Vincenzo held her wrist in a tight grip"Why in such a hurry, huh?Well, you ain't even my type, but I think I might still be able to do my work." He said, biting his lips."S-sir, I'm a married woman and h-have kids."Her voice was shaking like she was on the verge of crying.Vincenzo wasn't in the mood for such things. He was just messing around to see how people feared him.He smirked and let go of her hand while she ran away from there."I'm not in a mood to fuck this boring cunt." Vincenzo said and drifted his gaze again at the plain white wall. "I'm more into that doctor."He whimpered under his breath and bit his lower lip while thinking about Elena and other ways to fuck her.**** Elena's Pov'I stretched my arms while letting out a yawn and looked at the watch. It was almost time for me to go home.I gathered up my things and decided to check on my new patient before leaving for home.I turned my head towards my phone on the table when it rang.I looked at the caller I'D and quickly picked up as the call was from my house maid."Hello aunt Natali." I cleared my throat before speaking. "Miss Elena, your mother had been again having high fever since afternoon." I let out a heavy sigh."Give her the medicine that I have already left on her nightstand.I'll visit her tomorrow." "Ok" I disconnected, the call and left my cabin.I entered the room and finally spotted Vincenzo, Guy, who was sleeping peacefully.I had already asked the nurse before to check on him and found everything was OK, in the reports which she forwarded me.A small smile appeared on my lips, when I noticed his, gorgeously handsome face.He is tanned in color which really beautiful I loved when mans are tanned in colour it gives them sexy look in my opinion as per my knowing he's could be 6ft or maybe above ok enough I shoudn't just stand here and stare at him like a creep and describe his amazing features which is clearly wrong but I had to admit that I'm physically attracted towards this guy which completely wrong for my position which was against the rule.Who will say that he's a dangerous and ruthless mafia by staring at his cute face oops I shouldn't call a mafia cute but still he looks hot as hell and cute at the same time.I placed my palm on his forehead to check the temperature but suddenly he held my wrist making me shock.I gulped when I witnessed his dazzling eyes slowly got open and stared right into my soul."What are you trying to do, doctor?"He asked while sitting on the bed with the beds back support. "I'm sorry Mr. I didn't mean to wake you up.I was just checking your temperature, that's all."I defended myself. He nodded at my statement and tilted his head to the side.He was staring at me with his intimidating dark gaze which was as dark as black colour. His eyes moved towards my lips making me flustered when I was already as caught me red hand.I tried to shrug my hand away, which he was holding but he din't let go."Mr.Vincenzo, let go of my hand.I have to leave now."He shook his head, still staring at my lips making me nervous."I'm not in a mood to let you go now." He stroked my hair stands behind my ears. His eyes are beautiful I had to admit it.Amber is my favourite eye colour despite the fact I don't have one but it's fine.I love my eye colour It's deep ocean like blue which looks crystal clear oh god! now isn't time for that Jesus Christ."What that supposed to be mean?" I asked being frustrated."I don't want to let go of your hand Forever."Vincenzo's POV'The mansion was silent when I stepped inside. The marble floors gleamed beneath the dim chandelier light, but every sound I made—my shoes, the harsh drag of my breath—felt louder than it should have.I didn’t turn on the full lights. I didn’t need to. Darkness suited me better. The scent of gunpowder still clung faintly to my clothes, the night’s chaos trailing me like smoke. There were dark bloody stains along the cuff of my shirt, a mark on my jaw where something—had caught me, but I didn’t flinch. I'd long grown used to wearing the aftermath of my work.As I climbed the stairs, the weight of the world seemed to fall away with every step, leaving only one thought—the door at the end of the corridor.I pushed it open quietly. The faintest glow from the bedside lamp spilled over her form. Elena was there, curled slightly toward the window, the sheets tangled around her like silk waves. The steady rhythm of her breathing filled the room, soft and even, the only sound th
Elena's POV'I walked out of the hospital with Sarah by my side as it was almost nighttime, so we were on our way back home. The hospital lights dimmed behind us as Sarah and I stepped out into the evening air. The city had begun to fold itself into night — headlights streaking by, the scent of rain lingering from earlier showers.I exhaled softly, feeling the ache of the long shift in my shoulders, but the older woman beside me walked as if the day had barely touched her. It's more like she's used to it but hats off to the woman.“Ah.”Sarah sighed, tilting her face up to the sky.“Nothing feels better than the air after a twelve-hour shift. Smells like freedom to me.”I chuckled.“Freedom and car exhaust.”Sarah laughed, a bright, musical sound that cut through the tiredness clinging to them.“Don’t ruin my poetry, dear. You’re too young to be this cynical.”We crossed the parking lot together, the elder woman linking her arm through mine without waiting for permission — she never d
The warehouse sat deep in the forest — a place forgotten by time, where even the wind hesitated to whisper. Its walls were rusted ribs of corrugated metal, streaked with age and rain, bleeding orange under the dim light that flickered from a dying bulb. The air inside was thick, stale with the scent of oil, blood, and decay — a silence broken only by the occasional drip of water echoing against the concrete floor. In the middle of that gloom sat a man, tied to a chair that had done too many sins. The ropes bit into his wrists, cutting angry lines into his skin, and his head hung low, heavy with exhaustion.Dust danced in the pale shafts of moonlight that seeped through broken panels, brushing against his bruised face like a cruel caress. Somewhere in the distance, metal chains clinked — a sound that promised pain more than rescue. The warehouse was a graveyard of secrets, a place where screams went unheard and mercy came late, if at all. Every shadow seemed alive, watching, waiting. A
Elena stood as Vincenzo's Lamborghini Egoista sped off the street, the echo of his words still settling in the air—an aftershock that made the pavement feel smaller under her feet.A cold wind came off the avenue, scouring the last warmness of the morning. It tangled in her hair and pried at the edges of her coat, but she did not wrap it tighter or hurry away. The gust lifted the loose strands across her face and dragged at the hem of her skirt; it smelled faintly of rain and car exhaust, sharp and honest. For once, the elements seemed to match the small, stubborn calm she felt inside—an exterior wind that couldn’t reach the quiet she’d carved for herself. Her jaw worked once, almost imperceptibly, as if testing whatever pride she had left. She watched his car become a dark sliver between buildings, then turned her gaze inward, away from the disappearing tail-lights. Only then did she notice them. They weren’t showy—no emblazoned suits or swaggering postures. They were professionals:
Author's POV'The engine hummed low, the only sound filling the air between them. Morning rush on the streets blurred past the windows, but inside the car, silence pressed down like a heavy fog. Elena sat and turned slightly toward the glass, watching the city roll by, her hands folded too tightly in her lap. Many stuffs running on her mind. The first was the excitement of her first day at work after being married to a mafia king. Though Vincenzo still hasn't been claimed as a mafia king, soon he will be announced as mafia king of Italy through a ceremony.Elena's life has been a rollercoaster for the past few days. Many things happened. First, she found those love letters in their bedroom, which broke her heart when she genuinely thought about giving him and their marriage a chance, but all got shattered into pieces which were hard to put back together. Then she saw her husband killing his father brutally in front of her, which was horrible. She was still trying to process these thin
My puffy eyes tried to make sense of my surroundings. I squeezed my eyes as the sunlight attacked me through the window first thing in the morning."Where am I?"I asked myself dumb-founded, but soon all the events from yesterday started playing inside my head like some damn movie. Too many things happened that made my head ache. Those shameless moans, commands, spanks, throaty groans...holy shit. My body was aching, especially between my legs.I touched my forehead and sighed deeply. How could do that knowing the damn story? He is too cruel to play with me like this. I felt the ache in my heart. The sudden jap.I was so high yesterday that I couldn't think straight. I'm still feeling overwhelmed. I fell for him just to be played by him."What else did I do?"Whining, I covered my face into my palm."How could I give in to that monster?""Because this monster is too handsome for you to resist, sweetheart."My eyes snapped at the source of the voice standing at the door with a food tra
