Sold To A Stranger 2

CHAPTER FOUR

Sold To A Stranger 2

Leanda stepped into the house and gasped, “What is he doing?” she asked herself a question which she clearly knew the answer to. He was there to convince her again, but she had already made herself clear that she wasn’t interested in whatever he wanted, why wouldn’t he listen to her?

He was sitting comfortably on the one seater sofa with Sarah on his laps, while Natasha sat right opposite him, Avi was nowhere in sight.

Leanda couldn't move from the spot she was, she kept wondering how this strange man got to know her name, and now her house, who was he?.

"What are you doing here?" Leanda questioned as she walked to him with a disgusting look on her face. She huffed, "I thought I've already made it clear that I'm not interested in whatever you want."

He laughed, "Do you think I care about what you want?," he asked and turned to face Natasha, "I think it will be best if you explain to her what happened and what she needs to do. Don't you dare waste my time," he stated.

"Yes sir," Natasha responded and jumped on her feet, she held Leanda's hand and pulled her to the corridor, "Listen to me carefully Leanda," she began, "You'll have to go with that man right there," she pointed to Alarick.

"What!" Leanda exclaimed, "What are you talking about mom?" she asked with a blank look.

"First and foremost Leanda, I am not your mom," she groaned, "And as I was saying, you will have to go with that man right there. You don't have a choice, and this time you can't buy yourself time like you did before, you have..."

"Is this some kind of joke to you?" she flared, "Go with this man, go with that man, am I an object that you can toss wherever and whenever you want?" she smoldered in resentment.

"I don't care what you think Leanda, but you'll have to go with that man," she stated, she wasn't even bothered about how she was feeling, she was always after her own selfish interest.

"That man already paid off the debt," she announced.

"He did?" she asked and peeped at Alarick before looking back at Natasha, "He paid the debt, but why?"

"I don't know why, you can ask him that after leaving with him," Natasha said and held her hand, "But right now, you will have to leave with him," she smiled, "He even gave me some more money, I promise I would take care of your dad this time, just leave with him, we will all be fine without you."

She was trying her best to convince her but she was unfortunately making it worse. Leanda wasn't moved a bit by all she said. She just wanted to have a life of herself, not being controlled by her stepmother or anyone, she wanted to have her own life.

"I'm not going with anyone Natasha," Leanda shouted, "I am not leaving, you can't sell me off," she broke into tears, "You can't toss me off, I belong here too," she cried.

Natasha squinted her eyes, "I'm so sorry that you're in this condition," she shook her head and held her hand as she pulled her back into the main room, "You can take her with you sir, I've discussed this with her," she added.

"I'm not going anywhere with you," Leanda shouted, tears raced down her cheeks, why does she have to be the one to clean up the mess made by others?, why couldn't she have her life of her own?.

"Let's get going," Alarick said and stood up, "I have no time to waste, this word suffocates me," he added.

"I am not leaving with you," Leanda argued, "I am never going to do what you want, I won't carry your baby, I don't want to do that, you.."

"Woman," Alarick yelled, "I have told you before that I don't care about what you want or what you don't want, I only care about what I want. I want you to carry my child and you have no other choice than to do that," he growled and pulled her closer to himself, "I don't want to force you, let's go," he added and pushed her towards the door.

"Let me go," Leanda screamed, "I am never going to do what you want. I will do anything but not carrying the child of a man like you, you are a beast," she shouted, "You think you can buy anyone with your money?, I don't want your money," she stopped and hung her head for minutes, as if she was speaking to herself.

She fell on her knees when she realized that shouting and yelling at him wouldn't solve anything.

"Please, just leave me and my family alone, I don't want to go with you, I am..."

"Can you stop the fake tears," Alarick shouted and pulled her up from the floor, "I'm saying this one more time so listen to me carefully woman, I don't care about what you want, you only have to do as I say," he stated, "Now come with me or I hurt you and I won't even leave your family out."

Natasha gasped, "Please...please don't do that," she pleaded, she didn't even know who this man was, she just wanted to get his money, that was why she accepted the offer he brought.

Alarick had come knocking on their door, and just when he was still trying to convince Natasha, Don and his rogues came in and he took the opportunity to pay the debt. He also bribed Natasha with some more money, and she couldn't reject it as the materialistic and greedy person she was.

"Just go with him Leanda, do you want him to hurt us all?" Natasha gasped.

Leanda hung her head, she mumbled incoherent things through her hands and choked on her sobs, "Please just let me go."

Alarick pulled Sarah to himself and lifted her with her cloth like she was just a piece of paper.

Sarah giggled, she found that fun, she was too young to understand what was happening.

"If you refuse to go with me, then I will clear out your family," he stated and looked at Sarah, "And I am going to start from this little girl," he added and pulled out a knife from his pocket.

Why would anyone go around with a knife? made Leanda more confused about this man's identity.

Leanda fell at his feet and held his leg, "I will go with you," she gave in, "I will go with you, but please don't hurt her, don't hurt my family," she was really not fighting for her whole family, she was only fighting for Sarah and her dad.

"Please let her go," she pleaded.

Alarick dropped her and picked a handful of Leanda's hair, he pulled her up with it, making her cry out in pain.

"That is for making me shout, and you still have lots to pay for," he stated and turned to Natasha, "You can say your goodbyes to her because you will never see her again," he added and pulled her towards the door.

Leanda was helpless, she had to protect her family, she had to do it for her dad and Sarah, she wouldn't be able to live without them or the fact that they got hurt when she could have avoided that.

She turned back as she was pulled to the door, her eyes met with Sarah's teary eyes.

"Leanda," she mouthed, "Are you leaving me alone?" Sarah cried.

Leanda sniffled quietly, tears threatening to spill from her eyes, but she wanted to hide it, she didn't want to scare Sarah.

She cleared her throat, "I will be back Sarah," she murmured, "Big sister will be back," she added and a single drop of grief welled up from the corner of her eye.

"Your highness," Morgana and Dennis greeted as they got to the door.

"Get in," Alarick said and pushed Leanda into the car before getting in too.

Morgana took the front seat with Dennis who drove the car.

Leanda just couldn't get her mind off what happened in the last few minutes, how was she supposed to explain that she was sold off to a total stranger in just few minutes.

She was sold of to a man whom she doesn't even know his identity, a man whom she had only seen once, and not in a good way.

Tears welled from deep inside and coursed down her cheeks, it spilt over and flowed down her face like a river escaping a dam.

She bit her bottom lips, she wasn't even sure of what was next, or what this strange man has in store for her, she was just going to go as fate wanted it.

"What have I done wrong?" Leanda murmured to herself silently.

She sniffled constantly like she was resisting her tears, but that didn't work. Her bottom lips quivered, and her shoulders dropped in resignation, an involuntary whimper escaped her lips, there was nothing more she could do.
