Jace's POV.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I tried to calm down my nerves. My claws were already out and from where I stood, I saw Peter walking away.

He walked roughly as I could hear the heavy thumping sounds his shoes made.

“What does it mean the devil comes as an angel?”

I scoffed as I watched his figure become thin in the distance.

“Are you okay?”

Hazel's soft voice echoed in my ear as she ran her right fingers on my arm, up to my shoulder.

She went on to kiss my shoulder gently as she kissed my neck too.

“Who is he?”

She asked in a gentle tone.

“Peter. My younger brother.”

I turned around as I grabbed her, pulling her closer to my body as I kissed her deeply again.

“I need to be on my way. I will be back some other time. But, whatever you might need, you can have the maids get them for you, okay?”

I said in a gentle manner before walking out.

I couldn't let Snow in. I needed to act quickly. I had strolled to the oldest pack witch's house which wasn't far from my cabin.
