Chapter 6.

I felt the heavy punch which sent me to the ground and then, I saw these two hefty hands that used a sac to cover my face, pushing my head inside a pool of blood.

"Finally. We have caught you. And we can finally use your blood to cleanse our dying race and sick pack."

The voice said in a shrewd manner as I struggled to free myself from his strong grip.

The more I struggled, the more he tightened his fingers around my neck, almost strangling me as I choked heavily.

"I never believed it was ever possible to come in contact with a blood moon wolf."

I heard another thick and manly voice that came with a heavy door bang.

"After the alpha destroyed their pack, who ever believed someone actually made it out alive?"

The man with the thick and manly voice laughed hysterically.

"Go harder on her. She mustn't escape."

He ordered the hefty man that was pulling my head inside the bathtub filled with blood.

Slowly, I was losing my consciousness as the blood soon filled the sac and I could feel it enter my eyes, nose, ears and even my mouth as I kept on begging for my life.

"Noo-ooo!!"

I screamed with a loud voice with my hands on my neck as I jolted up.

I could feel the heavy heartbeat. The sunlight had blinded my eyes for a while which made me shut them and this time around, I opened them slowly.

I looked around and all I could see were two strange faces I haven't seen in my entire life and then, a neatly decorated room that had a chandelier at the center of the room and long beautiful curtains and a sofa chair, wardrobes, cabinet and every other furnitures present here were mostly black.

"Is everything alright?"

The young girl that sat close to me asked as she got frightened by the way I had screamed.

"You kept struggling on the bed and holding your neck like someone was strangling you. A nightmare?"

The girl asked as she looked at my eyes sternly like she was trying to read through my mind.

"Where am I?"

I fired immediately as I looked at her and the little chubby but thick body boy that stood next to her.

Looking at them I could see the striking resemblance but what I couldn't tell was how I landed here.

"You are in the Night Howlers Pack!"

The boy said in a rather disgusting manner as he furrowed his eyebrows at me.

"Stop it, Pete!"

The girl snapped as she looked at the boy.

"Don't be mean to her."

She said as she turned back to me.

"Wait! Did you just say Night Howlers Pack?"

I trembled immediately as my brain processed what he said and from all that I could possibly think of right now was for the ground to swallow me.

I tried linking the scattered memories I had and all I could remember was the one man my wolf declared my mate interrogating me on the wooden chair where he had tied me to and in an old cabin that reeked of blood and sewage.

"You are a blood wolf, aren't you??"

I heard his cold voice banging in my head heavily.

"Your bathrobe, your duvets, your scent, everything about you draws me to you. Something wolfish!!"

The more I thought deeper, the more I heard his voices in my head.

"You have been out for a whole day."

The girl cut through my thoughts, bringing me back to reality.

"I need to go. I need to leave now!"

I said in a shaky voice as I tried getting up.

"Leaving?"

The boy scoffed.

"Do you think you will be allowed to leave? Just like that?"

He chuckled softly as he asked me.

"I have always waited for my brother's second chance mate. Please don't go!"

The girl held my hands as she pleaded, popping her eyes out.

"Don't be scared. He won't tear you apart like he did to his first mate."

The boy ridiculed as he approached where I was.

"My name is Peter Steele, your soon to be brother in-law."

He said with a smile on his face.

Looking at him smile now made me more uncomfortable.

"What did he mean when he said Jace wouldn't tear me apart like he did to his first mate?"

I shrugged within at the thought of it.

He definitely wasn't helping matters.

"And I am Jane Steele, the only girl in the family of three boys and other male cousin I have out there. And for Pete, he's mostly a loud mouthed, chubby baby. Don't take his words seriously if you want to have a happy life."

Jane introduced herself briefly before smiling effortlessly.

"What do you mean by I was his second chance mate? What happened to his first? Why did he hijack me and then forcefully brought me here?"

My heart raced really fast and my head spinned as well.

Right now I couldn't think straight. I just needed answers to my questions.

"Uh-uhm. I wouldn't lie to you but yeah, something like a tragedy happened to his mate but I could swear that it was nothing but just a mistake and it won't repeat itself again and he didn't hijack you, c'mon - he brought you home, where you truly belong."

Jane said with a smile on her face.

I wasn't fully convinced with her answer. I knew she was hiding something from me but then, taking Peter for his words also sent down cold shivers down my spine.

"How long have I been here?"

I asked as I looked at the both of them.

"Okay, 2 days and you recovered poorly from the bruises you had."

Peter answered as he leaned on the wall.

"2 days?"

I gasped out in terror.

"How possible was that? How could I have passed out for completely 2 days?"

I asked in shock as I couldn't also believe it.

"You can ask your wolf about that."

Peter snapped as he looked at me.

"I-i-i I'm growing Wolf-less."

I whimpered as I lowered my head in shame.

"Whattt??"

They both gasped in shock as they looked at me.
