Crow's POV

I couldn't erase her on my mind. What she had done to that minor class and to the cafeteria waken up my little interest and made me wanting to know slightly about her. However, that thought just slipped through my head and I didn't want to entertain it.

The next day keeps me motivated to go to school. It was supposed to be a typical day in Sky University. Same as usual, nothing had really changed a lot aside from being a college student and more designated hectic school work loads coming from different clubs and organizations, but I feel like I am quite energetic today. It's maybe because I had a full eight hours of sleep.

The stress and pressure are not new to me already. I was used to it. I consider them as good stressors and positive weapons for future opportunities. Good management and excellent analysis of things are one of the key factors to keep myself in balance.

"Submit this report to me next Monday, okay?" I commanded to Berna, one of my trusted academic officials.

"Yes, pres." she nodded as she pressed her lips looking up at me whilst hugging a pile of papers punched inside a folder.

"Finalized it. I don't want to see any error in the liquidation report. Review it twice. You know Ma'am Nice," Ma'am Nice, the head of academic affairs.

"I will pres. No worries," she assured. I have nothing to worry about Berna. She never failed to do her job.

"Okay good. You may now go,"

"Thank you Mr. President," she muttered. She's polite, diligent, obedient, and hard-working as well. With a thick rimmed eye glasses that crossed on the bridge of her nose, I could say that she's one of the nerds here in campus. You can't see her anywhere in the campus with no books on her hands. No friends either. A loner.

However, she's formal. She strives harder in school. She makes sure that she always excels in everything especially in academics. I understand her since it's the only way for her to access free education in this university because her family is financially unstable. Her mom died three years back and her father is negligent with full of vices.

Before, Berna was always prone to bullying. I pitied her so I stepped in. I gave grave threats to those bullies to never lay a finger on her again. That's what happened. Since that day, I could see that she didn't get harassments anymore up until now.

She's brilliant, has ethical mannerisms, and she deserves respect. She's really good to me and her performance in school and in her position she holds is way impressive.

Spacing out, I snapped away from my thoughts and headed to my locker, unmindful of the murmurs and stares I typically heard as I walked at the area.

It's not a surprise that my locker is full of chocolates, stuffed toys, piled love letters, and flowers.

There are even sticky notes pasted around my locker. All I can see are the heart symbols and smiley emojis. I don't bother to read the contents scribbled on the paper. It just all annoys me. I don't like to receive much attention and I don't entertain their regards to me.

Disgusted, I took out my jersey for basketball and took out those unwanted stuffs putting it on my spared hand bag.

"Huhu. He didn't read it,"

"I wrote my love confession for him with all of my heart,"

"I stayed late just to make it,"

"Sandra, I think I'm gonna die."

"Don't give up sis! He'll probably read it later,"

Not minding those comments, I continued to organize my locker. As much as possible, I don't want my positive energy to shift on the opposite.

I tried to focus on organizing my locker and cleaning the mess. I don't want everything messy. I want my things to be neat, pristine, and organized, but I was used my locker in disarray somehow.

I faltered organizing my stuffs when I heard familiar voices talking behind the back.

"You're new here right?" A voice of a familiar jackass echoed my head.

"A-h yeah. I'm a t-ransferee," A feminine voice answered to someone who's voice was familiar as well.

Why does she always stutter?

"I bet you don't know anyone here. If you want someone to accompany you, then maybe we could hang out?" he offered and it makes my ears stood up.

"Nothanks. I have to go," she refused and I wanted to laugh.

"Hey, wait gorgeous. Can I get your line I.D then?"

"I really have to go."

"Wa-"

I can't help myself to just listen. I hardly slammed the door of my locker as I closed it, only for it to make a loud bang.

"Lucas?" I interrupted with full authority.

His pupils grew wide in fear. "C-row?"

Eyes of the students around were already sensing something unpleasant will going to happen. "I want to talk to you."

"I'm s-orry C-row. I p-ro-"

"I want to talk to you..." I said it again with emphasis. "You follow me now,"

"Y-es C-row."

They all know me; jackass assholes, popular brats, famous playboys, bad boys, and gangsters in the university —you name them all, they knew me so well. They have high respect towards me and I don't know why. I don't even know why they're scared of me. I don't eat people. A punch would keep away your sanity. Don't worry.

I walked down the hallway and headed to the backstage of the music room. It's dim and the smell irritates my nostrils.

Somehow, the popular jackass obeyed me, following at my back. Lucas, an infamous captain of the soccer team.

He was about to enter the door but in a swift move, I turned to my back and grabbed firmly the collar of his expensive white polo. I smashed his back against the wall. The collision made a loud sound, indicating his body collided the concrete pretty hard.

"Ahh!" he winced in pain.

"You heard the girl right?"

"Y-es C-row."

"I don't want to see you hitting on that girl okay?! You understand me?" I gritted my teeth.

I was fuming mad for some unknown reason and I was trying to control myself to stop the urge of punching his face. He just nodded in fear.

"Do you hear me?!" I repeated as I held the hem of his collar firmly. The grip tightened the space of his neck.

He just nodded again. "Speak!" I kicked his feet erupting his painful whimper.

"Y-es C-row." he coughed.

I glared daggers at him. Making sure that he really was threatened and seeing his fear in his eyes already satisfied me. Contented, I put him down. I didn't even notice that I lifted him up using only one hand.

I threw him aside only for him to stumble on the ground. "Be good at school jackass, even if you don't have this." I pointed my head. "At least just do that."

He nodded anxiously, then staggeringly ran away, limping for life.

I opened and closed my hand, then uncontrollably punched the wall. Pain immediately arouse in me, but it never stirred me up a bit.

Why did I get furiously mad?

Why did the positive energy I had felt suddenly shifted to the opposite after I heard their conversation?

Why?

I know it.

This uncontrollable anger I have right now towards him might be because of the accumulated unpleasant acts he has done in the school for the past school year that I did not get the chance to preach.

That is why.

Red's POVWeekends came in so much haste and I just found myself bored at home. I've never seen Crow in class these past few days. Mitch said he's busy doing his obligations as an athletic and academic scholar because Sky University days are coming. It is a week-long event that has no actual classes, but filled with different competition, whether it be sports or academics. Without expecting it to happen, my interests for Crow grew slightly bigger despite the short amount of time I have trying to know him, especially of how much Mitch religiously described him. All people in general. He is being worshipped with all of their hearts. At the end, I could not get him out of my mind lately."He's the top performing student in the university amongst all. Imagine how many adults and master's degree holders there are in this university?" she described him with full of adoration. Like she is a proud girlfriend.Colleen and I just listened to her attentively, wanting to hear some things about h

Crow's POVI couldn't help myself, but to feel slight awe in the deepest corner of my body when the girl whom I bumped into, who poked me from my sleep, whom I called a ladybug —is bravely shouting for her life's principles in front of the crowd in the cafeteria. She has the guts.It sounds ridiculous, but not for me. Most people were laughing at her, but there are also few who were amazed by her shown reaction. It moved me a bit in dimensions unimaginable."Are you sure you're going to attend P.E Crow? As in P.E class?" Chloe asked for the nth time already when we were in the locker area. She could not believe, I either."Why is it a big deal to you?" I asked, almost losing my temper. I dumped my things inside and heaved a sigh because of this useless letters around my locker."It just that it's unusual for the Crow Dallas to attend the subject he pertained to as useless." She said with a hint of sarcasm."I have my own decisions, Chloe. I get to decide whether I attend a class or no

Red's POV"He was not rude, Red. Besides, I found it cute." Mitch gasped. "It was like you were in a korean drama. A girl who could not reach a book and his knight in a shining armor was there ready to the rescue. Argh sissy, I'm slightly jealous!" Mitch said in exaggeration as she pouted flexing her arms sideways warming up for our Physical Education class the next day. He's definetely rude and arrogant. The way he sounded and the way he teased me like I was a small damn tomato and a ladybug? Seriously? Argh! He's getting on my nerves personifying me on a vegetable and an insect."You're just overreacting, Red!" Colleen snapped, where in fact, she is. "I see nothing wrong with it. He even said cute to you!" she struggled to say it since she bent her body sideways."My crown is yours now." She pretentiously acted laying me an imaginary crown on my head. She stood up straight, looking behind my back. I shook my head in slight annoyance, helpless with these two ladies."And guess who's

Red's POVI couldn't understand myself but to feel a little bit overwhelmed and somehow safe when Crow Dallas interrupted our conversation to whom he called, Lucas. I couldn't even able to say thank you at least to him or should I have to say my gratitude, but the other side of my brain said; Did he do it for me? Did he interrupt us because he wants to protect me?Don't assume Red. Why would he do it? The rational part of my brain told otherwise.I just shrugged my thoughts away because it's not a big deal though. I'm so glad that the following day we just had our majors and no minor classes. Teachers were busy in education department about the pre-oral pitching of their senior students. They just left us some activities to do.There were just three majors and our break time was pretty long, but we used it to answer the activities that the teachers left us to do. We finished them right away so there's still much free time to rest. Pharmacy is a complex course where your rest time wil

  • Taming The Perfect Prince   Chapter 3

Red's POVThe following day.We finished one of our majors today, one lecture then proceeded to lab activity. It was really tiring but challenging as well doing all the experiments. There are two groups in a long rectangular table wherein in the middle are the apparatuses that we're going to use. There are six tables, hence, there are twelve groups. Each group has five members, consequently there are sixty students in this room. The room was very busy. All I could hear are the apparatuses hitting against each other and the occasional silent conversations. I was busy engaging on my analysis when one of my classmates across the table talked."Hey, girl?""Hey?" she repeated. I looked up from my test tube to the girl who spoke, realizing that she was pertaining to me."Oh, sorry." I smiled, sheepishly "What's up?" I curiously asked her."I just wanted to introduce myself. By the way, I am Mitch Bulang,""Red Vera," I simply replied."Yeah, I know. But you know what? I admire your spirit.
