The fire soon caught up with trees nearby and went berserk, burning every living thing in it to the ground.
Since we could control the fire, it wasn’t harmful. We quickly escaped and put our enemies in it. However, I didn’t give a damn and everyone rejoiced at the victory. I won the war this time, and that’s all that matters. I’m in no mood to please anyone as long as I get what I want and achieve my goal. No matter what anyone says behind my back or tries to plan against me. They wouldn’t dare come to me and say it to my face, for I am a warrior, but a pathetic one, of course. And they didn’t have to know that but myself. The fire burnt every living thing in it, not a stone in sight. It was as hot as hades. It was what was also called perfecto. Which means perfection, hell as it was. It turned into a blast in front of me as I smiled evilly and walked away from the scene, walked back to my horse and climbed it. I guess Alpha Hawk wouldn’t have anything to say about this. I just hope he will feel impressed and I can’t wait to see the look on his face when he sees how I have survived in battle once again. My father and my stepmother want me dead. I wasn’t making it easy for them. “I have captured the alpha, my lady,” someone yelled behind me. I smiled with satisfaction, and without looking back, I yelled back. ‘Tie him up in chains. Cling the chains to the horse, and let him walk barefoot. Flog him mercilessly if he doesn’t walk fast. Make sure he doesn’t escape.’ I strictly ordered. “Yes, my Lady.” He replied. “Yhaaa,” I yank the rope, making the horse move. Finally, we’ve won the battle again. The thought of it was putting me in a good mood. Capturing the leader of the pack was delightful, just five steps away before we took over the entire clan. The wind blew as fast as an arrow, as we all rode our horses. Suddenly I smelled a strong musty scent coupled with citrus and cedar wood as it floated through my nose. Then a sweet smell of jasmine followed. That struck me. “STOP,” I shouted, as I turned back with shock. Panic and dread running down my spine as my eyes widened. I motionlessly jumped down from my horse. Unconsciously, I walked past the rest of the warriors, towards the chained man, covered in deep bruises. He coughed with difficulty as the scent continued to smell around him and I felt his pheromones. My shaken legs almost fell to the ground. Mate. Was he the alpha I’ve been searching for, for the past 12 years? He smells so much like him. 𝑰 𝒓𝒂𝒏 𝒂𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝒂𝒔 𝑰 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅. 𝑷𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒊𝒍𝒚, 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒔𝒘𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒎𝒚 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚. I wonder what he thought of me and why he was quiet. He must think I am a slut and feel disgusted with me. Why did he have to see me in such a helpless state?“Uriel.” I called out to him and he hesitated for a few seconds before he held my hand and asked. “He slept with you, didn’t he?” His voice seemed composed and frightening.I didn’t want to recall what Clyde did back there. The flashback of how he forced himself on me after injecting me made me burst into tears.Even though Uriel wasn’t seeing me, I covered my face with both hands in shame. How could I have let an Alpha take advantage of me?After what I’ve been through, I let him rape me. What kind of life does fate have in store for me to make sure I never get to be happy?“I’m sorry, Uriel. I should never have let it happen. I’m so sorry.” “Did he release inside you?” He questioned, and his voice got a little deeper. What does he want to do? I to
This bastard is delusional. He always tells lies and I don’t want to believe anything that comes out of this bastard’s mouth. “I know nothing about him?” He pointed at himself. “Are you talking about me, Raava?” “I don’t care.” I yelled. “Let me out of here.” I will have to talk with Uriel later on. I don’t want to listen to anything he has to say if it’s not from Uriel himself. “You don’t listen when you are being talked to, don't you? You think Uriel is behind you. The bastard wants to send you away from his home.” “I don’t believe you. Let me out of here.” He sighed and rested his hands inside his pockets, leaving a smug look on his face. “You know what, Raava,” he leaned closer to me. “You are still mine. Now that I’ve seen Uriel hasn’t touched you. You belong to me.” “Get away from me.” He grabbed my shoulders, and I slapped him across his cheek. His eyes widened when I slapped him. His gaze fell on me.“You dare slap me?”“Let me g
“You are still not making sense to me, Nolak. I want to be alone. I want to send her away. Each passing day, when I see her, I go insane. My alpha instincts want her, but I don’t. I’m not like the other alphas she has met. I can’t be her mate because I would fail her. Don’t have my powers anymore. Neither am I the strongest alpha I used to be. I’m just an alpha with power and wealth, but I can’t shapeshift willingly. When I shapeshift, I go out of control and hurt the people around me and force out my powers on them.” I slightly looked back. “I don’t want Raava around. Have my reasons. I don’t want to do those papers. It is better for Clyde to do them. He is not blind like me. She doesn’t need someone as helpless as me. It’s time she walks on her path.”“You could have asked me for help.” “I didn’t want to ask you.” “Uriel, Clyde is…is Raava’s ex boyfriend. He wants her back.”“Her ex-boyfriend?”“Yes, and he was her first mate. The alpha who took advantage
~ URIEL~ I heard the sounds of her steps coming out of her room. The sound of her heels, the scent of her perfume clouding the entire hallway told me she was going to meet him. I didn’t want to see her off, and I don’t want to.It is not an obligation for me to see her off. I wonder who she is to him. I wanted to investigate the sort of relationship they have, but I feel like I will mingle too much. It’s her personal life to deal with. I don’t have to get involved. He just said he wanted to see her, and I allowed it. I know he is dangerous, but he said they had something important to do together which was relating to the Frostbite clan. Should I have sent her to him without investigation? I don’t know. I just don’t want to get involved. I have enough on my plate to deal with than worry about someone else. When he was talking to me, I didn’t pay attention to the words he was saying because I was a little drunk and exhausted when he met me. Did I make the wrong decision?
“What kind of trouble?” I faced his back and my heart was close to my throat. I don’t know why, but his words were making me emotional and recalling some dark parts of my life that I don’t want to remember.“He says an alpha claimed you. And that I took a marked Omega under my roof? Then, I wondered, if a certain alpha claimed you, why did he let you in, why did he get married to you and sleep with you? Perceiving another alpha's pheromones on an Omega irks alphas when they want to take over that Omega. There’s no way he would have tolerated it. Was it because he wasn’t able to or he didn’t want to do it with you?” He glared at me, and my heart skipped a beat. ‘Or is it because you barely have an Omega scent?’“What…what are you talking about?” My hands were shaking, including my heart pounding. “A marked Omega can't sleep with another alpha? It is impossible. Unless that Omega is not marked by an alpha. What are you, Raava? Are you an Omega or a Beta?” “What
His determination and how he acts sometimes makes me forget he is blind at all.I smiled as I thought about what happened a month ago and came across a beautiful pool. “Wow! Can I swim in this pool? It looks like magic and it is wide, too.” I exclaimed and ran to the location when I saw Uriel standing inside the pool. His white robe hugged his body as he stood inside the water with his upper body out in the open. His long blonde hair, cascaded down at the back of his waist, touched the water. His hair looked silky and wet on him. His green eyes glittered like a drop of water on a green beautiful leaf touching the sunlight. He was in deep thoughts as he stood inside the water. I don’t know, but I found him seductive and smutty when he glanced up at the bright lights above him and his hair moved backwards. His neck, how slender, strong, fetishistic it was, made me want to roll my tongue on it. What am I thinking? I slapped my forehead to get rid of any stupid thoughts. He is n
