Luckily for Draven, his phone took the right moment to ring and he quickly answered the call without even looking at the Caller ID. “Sorry, Mum, I got a call,” he reasoned with his mother and then walked away for some privacy.

“Whoever you are, you literally just saved me,” he muttered with a sigh.

“Well, I rather think that that’s what I’ve been doing lately,” replied someone in a female voice.

Draven nearly choked on his own saliva. “Hélène,” he somehow managed to greet her. He’d been expecting her to call him for weeks now since they last parted ways but she had never once contacted him.
